Watched it for the crazy emperor and princess xiyang (second half of season)
I watched a condensed version on youtube that just has the second couple's scenes, and was riveted from the start! Their story and their acting were top notch and I enjoyed the love triangle with the brother Xia Jingshi.Their relationship was messy, abusive, and toxic but interestingly, the Princess matched the Emperor's freak and wouldn't back down. I have their scenes (all 7 of them) on rewatch, and I couldn't take my eyes off them! They said more with their eyes and actions than with their words. There is even humor to the dying end.
Qin Tianyu, the actor who played the emperor won a Wenrong breakthrough acting award for his acting in this role and I look forward to seeing him in more meaty roles in the future! He totally earned it.

Knock out knocked me out.
Honestly when i started watching this drama i started out of boredom but OH MY who knew this would become my new obsession...The Main leads are very handsome and and yes the story is full of Actions and also the intimate scenes are top notch... Don't let the bad reviews stop you from watching this series...The series is worth watching in repeat... Cause at the first watch you'll discover many new things and it might be a little confusing for new comers so you might need to watch it again but every second is worth watching...Gunner and Nice have a very good chemistry...and also for me Gunner is Handsome as hell which is giving cherry on top energy...the series is overall very good...the acting is good along with the story line and visuals... eagerly waiting for this couple to have another series... Cause they deserve it... Such a hot and sweet couple...Give it a watch , you won't regret it...Also (A LITTLE SPOILER) The kiss after Slap was so damn hot... Every NC scene was Hot AF...So yeah I'm eagerly waiting to see them making another Dope series...❤️🩷Was this review helpful to you?

This drama has lot of lessons. Highly recommended!
More than 40 dramas I've already watched but this was my first time searching for the writer of a drama. Super talented! I've taken note of all the lessons I got from every episode. The characters who portrait, they play it well. Thank you Beautiful Writer and to All who Made This. Thank you. All of you deserve an award. Especially you Park Min-Hyeon. Plz continue to give us everything. We will wait for more of your work.😘 From the Philippines! Was this review helpful to you?

A bittersweet story that reminds you not to let life pass you by
This was the first Asian drama I ever watched. Many dramas later, it still feels like something special. Highly recommend, even if you usually prefer historical dramas (like me). A few reasons why it really works for me:First, the show is very easy to get into. I've become used to historical cdramas that give you a few boring episodes up front as they set up the plot. Not this show; the premise is very easy to get behind. Sick girl stuck at home starts sneaking out to pursue her love interest --- sold. The early episodes are so fun to watch that you don't realize you're being led into a deeper, richly rewarding story that will tug at your heartstrings and leave you thinking about your own life.
The plot itself is romantic, soft, and bittersweet. There are many problems without solutions for the main characters, but this is by design; the show reminds us that love is the best medicine for tragedy, and that we should love like there's no time to lose -- any moment can be your last, or someone else's last. Each episode ends leaving you either very sad or with a full heart, and sometimes both. This is exactly what I'm looking for in my dramas :)
Next, the setting: Everything in the show is beautiful to look at. The southern China waterfront scenery, Xiao Han's family home in the mountains, He Ran's beautiful house... even the characters' jobs create beauty, with Xiao Han's prized horticulture skills and He Ran's unique artistic talent. Practically every scene is pleasing to look at, with the exception of He Ran's mother's scenes. This is, of course, by design; He Ran's sole focus is to bring love, light, and joy into her life, and she brings us into her world of color.
The soundtrack is unforgettable. Years after my first watch, I can still recognize every song from the show and sometimes listen to the OST for fun. There are a surprising number of songs, and every one of them is great.
Finally, like any good cdrama, there are several indelible moments from the show that I'll never forget; the night blooming flower, the night hike in the mountains, the scavenger hunt, and ESPECIALLY the reveal of the flowers at He Ran's house.

Beautiful final season!
Well now that I finished all the episodes, all that sticks with me is the last couple of episodes- where Hachisuka (the internal medicine director dude) takes Michiko out for dinner and wine. And at first Michiko just eats the food and bails, and I thought it’s just another director schmoozing and trying to manipulate and use her skill to their advantage and agenda, but after Hachisuka catches Michiko when she trips on her high heels and is about to fall, they have this moment of embrace. And this is a first for the gorgeous model Michiko who intimidates every man around her, while being innocent as a doe. She doesn’t know what to do in these romantic situations since all she knows is “surgery and food,” but it reveals a beautiful (short lived) colleague relationship of mutual respect and admiration. Hachisuka ends of getting cancer like everyone else in the show and needs immediate surgery but then quarantines himself in the internal medicine research lab because there’s some new outbreak. But Michiko goes in there and saves him and does immediate surgery. During the surgery his heart stops and he has a cardiac arrest, but she physically pumps his heart back to life kind of like in the 2nd Matrix movie! How romantic is that! And Hachisuka is the only one who is truly grateful to Michiko and says “With the life you saved, I am going to help billions of others now.” Now that is true respect of Michiko’s miraculous surgical power. Only he deserves to associate with her. Everyone else especially people like Hiruma get the surgery from Michiko and then try to destroy her which is unfathomable betrayal and low moral character. The last scenes show Hachisuka asking Michiko if she wants to join him and they can go to Africa together and save lives while “eating octopus” but Michiko takes it as “Let’s meet again at the sushi bar.” So in the innocent comedy of errors, Hachi waits for her at the airport while Michiko waits for him in the sushi bar. Sigh… so innocent, and yet a little heartbreaking. But perhaps Michiko being the Godlike main character in this show is not meant to be with anyone. She is meant to stay where she is and not following some man around. So while the mutual respect and admiration and even love was present, it was something to let go of in the end.Was this review helpful to you?
10/10 easily best of 2025
I am honestly surprised to see (although few) lower ratings. The amount of twists blew me away, for starters, they really keep you on your toes and coming back for the next episode.
The story for Ramphueng was absolutely heart breaking, and the actress did such a good job. The moments of emotional hysteria were played out so well by the respective characters--without giving too much away--I live for those moments where actors portray their character in such a raw format.
They fed us well tbh, with a few episodes being almost 2 hrs long--I really feel like we were spoiled the whole series. Waiting every week for the next episode was killing me.
all in all they genuinely did a phenomenal job and I highly recommend watching.

Worth a shot!
I was originally not going to watch this show because I do not like body swap tropes but I caved in anyway because it was a GL, and I enjoyed most of it. I was not totally in to the kiss scene(s) where they were still trapped in each other bodies but I can look past that. I loved the dynamics between all of the characters like Print's family or the girls with their managers, although towards the end I started to wonder, "Do they not have any other friends besides their managers and that one dude?" I was not a fan of the ending honestly, it felt sorta rushed but the little wedding was pretty cute. Overall, the story was decent, it didn't impact me in any particular way but it was cute and chill for the most part. I loved Wanmai and Saifon as the second couple, they were messy and it was a really fun contrast between them and Print and Rey. The backstories for each of the main four characters were quite interesting and I honestly wished we had seen a little bit more of Wanmai and Saifon's past together. I really hope we get to see PamArhoung and LinnPraew as maybe fixed pairs and see them in future projects because they have such good chemistry!! This show is totally worth the watch because there will definitely be something that you will like and for me, that was Wanmai and Saifon! Was this review helpful to you?
jarring tonal shifts
Overall: the series didn't work as a romcom and it didn't work as a supernatural thriller. Adapted from the book "Nai Khrai Wa JJ Mai Thuk Kan" by My feline10> episodes about 40 minutes each. Airing on GMMTV's YouTube channel https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLszepnkojZI4HRwD1wzag844Ig0ZGT_Pl&si=xYCTDHhz8MsyjvGp (everywhere except Thailand)Content Warnings: bullying, punch, , manipulation/lying, death (it's complicated), attempted suicide (it's complicated), past: punch/hits, bullying, unwanted outing
Note: if you aren't into bickering/bullying start at 4/1, then skip 5/1 and 5/2 and watch from there.
What I Liked
- sweet moments
- tried something different
Room For Improvement
- unless I mixed up who was who in the flashbacks, the bullying felt more one sided
- the comedy sound effects didn't make things funny and did not work well with the serious visions repeatedly shown
- a character not talking to a character or his mom for multiple episodes
- did not like either character in the side couple, they each needed to work on their insecurities
- explaining the world building in the final episode was too late

a mixed bag
Overall: the first story was adorable, though that vibe didn't last. Not sure why so many characters ignored boundaries, but it was not romantic. 8 different stories, each in 2 parts about 15 minutes total per storyline. Airing on Strongberry YouTube Channel https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNd7BhdAz80ptzaxeYXbVCLVXH7JXtely&si=_AO3vgmNtpY2d-vI - later aired on Shortime, my invite link is https://playground.shortime.app/en/invite/NKNIWI - the code is NKNIWI (those are all capital letters, that's the capital letter i) and it should get you a bonus. Note each episode is 120 popcorn which is pretty expensive/will take a while to watch for free on Shortime.Story 1: Want To Grow It? rating 9 (strangers)
Super adorable, focuses on 2 characters with an easy to understand story. Good production value.
Story 2: Folding You, rating 8 (university students, 1 is quirky)
This was quirky, didn't feel the chemistry as much.
Story 3: Sweet Mischief, rating 7 (servant contract/blackmail)
The blackmail wasn't cute nor was seeing several uncomfortable kisses.
Story 4: Sleep Around Still Mine, rating 8.5 (friends with benefits)
Overall well done, though they could have cut the ghosting.
Story 5: Craving You, rating 8 (actor/manager)
Not a fan of the non/dub con kiss in the first part and the change seemed sudden.
Story 6: Not a BL, rating 7.5 (coworkers)
Bad that he didn't explain what the job would be. Not sure if the owner was helping?
Story 7: Sweet Mischief, rating 7 (trying to get into university)
Not a fan of repeatedly ignoring boundaries and the non con kiss.
Story 8: A Killer Recipe, rating 8.5 (former boyfriends)
I was a bit confused and needed a little more explanation. Note, likely murder off screen and blood shown.

They didn't need to go there
Ahh I was so happy when I started this show. From the first episode it had interesting stories, warmth, love, flirt. The support characters was so good and interesting. Lee Hyeri was amazing as always and their chemistry with Lee jun young was great! I felt safe in the shows hands. It stayed like that for 10 episodes though, then it became something it shouldn't.Like life was so unfair to second ML, he shouldn't have displayed as a psycho because he wasn't.
All this murder drama took too long and it was unnecessary because this wasn't and didn't need to be a detective murder show.
We could've watched interesting stories from the deceased instead.
After getting together there wasn't any scenes between FL and ML. They just met for crying over a shoulder and be a shoulder to cry on. Missed opportunity.
And like they really really didn't need to kill the dad. Like who wants to see that? Who needs to see that? Like why does this writers try so hard I don't know. We've cried enough in the show with lots of good people dying a grandma a little girl a pregnant woman like all of them were very touching. Just look at your show and think of like who is gonna watch this to get what? Stop giving us this crazy mess second halfs.
All and all it was good but it's sad because it would've been great.

It was a good start, then it got lost.
This drama was mediocre at best. Other than the tender romantic moments between the couple, it was an average drama. The storyline was neither new nor original. I think I have seen this troupe a few times before. It had most of the same old things a costume drama usually has.I had a hard time following the plot. I mean, there was a powerful demon and a weak girl, some cultivation with some yin and yang. The plot did not evolve beyond the demon breaking free. This was disappointing because I truly like both leads. I think one of the worst decisions Arthur Chen made was deciding not to finish “Ever Night”. If you watch it, you will know why. I believe that drama was helping him to grow his skills, and after that, his growth slowed down. IMO.
So this drama had a good start and was cute in the beginning.
The production was decent, and the costumes, although a bit bulky at times, were also decent.
In short, there was nothing that stood out about this drama. With that being said, it was still an okay watch.

wow holywood with asian actors - meaningless fast paced chaos and drama, no content, no acting
If you like holywood, great, this will please you, here is LOTS to see and nothing real is happening. The conversations are menanigless, short and supposedly witty and funny. You will feel right at home!!!!IF YOU WANT SOME SUBSTANCE AND SOME GOOD ACTING THEN ... RUN!!!!! dont waste time on this drugged-out fantasy without content
and the acting is super bad
the whole thing is fake
yeah the story is kinda interesting but the execution of it is a total hoola boola smoke and mirrors show, just a whirling non stop some kind of crazy happening, AND NO CONTENT

the ml's beautiful costumes were more interesting than the story
visually wise this is very pretty to look at, i liked all the costumes, each character's styling, the locations, and all the other details they put into production. lyx is also fun to watch, when his character is being edgybut omg
this was sooo boring and sooo slow with zero emotional stakes, and the boring fight sequences where we got to see the ml show off his impressive dance skills just went on and on and on and onnnnn, it felt like punishment.
the story, told at a glacial pace was pretty dry too: mysterious and misunderstood guy falsely accused of killing big bro is continuously set up by insane and aggrieved former bestie bro aka thanos lite and his cohorts while he (ml) makes a bunch of friends and finds love (probably?) - that was it, until i dropped it anyway. there was nothing to look forward to in each ep apart from the pretty outfits. also this has a large cast, but they are somehow mostly unmemorable.
the main actor does what he does best - he coughs up blood, he's tragic, he's beautiful, he's frail, he knows something you don't, heh.
i'm adding this to the class of dramas i'm temporarily calling the lookables - dramas that look good but are just narratively dry. think fof, love in pavilion, etc.
this drama gave me cherry blossoms ptsd
