i found this series enjoyable

this drama was enjoyable loved the cast and loved the story. yes maybe some of people here think it’s boring but that’s their preference and for me this series is a good watch.

but i was indeed confused in some parts as who actually where the other children living in the peanut house? where their siblings? where they just kids that lived there who where they? you don’t even see them anymore after that you kinda hear about them vaguely but not much so i was indeed curious.

the acting was good but there where somewhat with Baek yeong in this «if he was here talk» that it sounded like a robot voice in ep 11 idk only me?

i like the twin movies though it is hard playing 2 different roles sometimes.

the kissing is very soft and cute too.

A Hidden Gem I Almost Missed

The Unseen is a compact mystery thriller that quietly delivers far more than you’d expect from a short-format drama.

The story follows blogger Shen Man, who investigate the suspicious suicide of her sister. When Shen Man deliberately draws attention to herself in order to get closer to the truth, she ends up becoming a prime suspect of a bizarre murder.

Enter Jiang Li, a young police officer who quickly sees through Shen Man’s act and helps clear her name. As the murders continue—each seemingly linked to occult practices and possibly to Shen Man’s sister—the two women are join forces to work together to uncover the truth behind the killings.

Set largely in Thailand, the drama makes strong use of local atmosphere, Thai writing, and cultural elements, which adds an extra layer of authenticity and visual intrigue. For a short drama, the production quality is unexpectedly high: the visuals are polished, the pacing is tight, and the suspense is handled with care rather than cheap shock value.

What truly elevates the drama is the dynamic between the two female leads. Their relationship develops naturally into something deeper than simple partnership. While the drama remains subtle and never explicitly crosses into romance, it is unmistakably GL-coded—handled with restraint, warmth, and excellent chemistry. Importantly, this emotional thread never feels forced or distracting; it complements the investigation instead of overshadowing it.

The acting across the board is solid, and the emotional undercurrents between Shen Man and Jiang Li are one of the show’s strongest highlights. Watching their trust and connection grow alongside the unfolding mystery adds genuine depth to the narrative.

Overall, The Unseen is a true hidden gem. It delivers a well-constructed mystery, strong performances, and tasteful GL undertones within a surprisingly high-quality short format. If you enjoy investigation and mystery dramas with atmospheric storytelling and subtle emotional depth, this one is absolutely worth your time—and it deserves far more attention than it has received.

Can't wait for season 2!🤩

A Heart-Fluttering Romance Worth the Wait

This series is an enjoyable romance drama that makes use of familiar yet effective tropes. At its core is a classic family business storyline, where one child has to deal with the consequences of a parent’s past mistakes. The story begins with a mysterious tone that immediately captures the viewer’s attention, although this element is only revisited occasionally later on and does not dominate the overall plot.

The male lead starts off as the typical cold and emotionally distant character, but he gradually falls deeply for the female lead. Their romantic relationship takes time to develop, which adds emotional depth and makes their connection feel earned. Even when faced with major hardships toward the end, it becomes clear that they cannot bear to be apart.

In the final third of the series, the romance truly shines. There are many heartfelt kissing and cuddling scenes that make your heart race and highlight the chemistry between the leads. Special praise goes to the actress portraying the female lead — her facial expressions, gazes, and overall presence are captivating. She is truly stunning and brings a lot of emotion to the role.

This drama constantly made me want to watch the next episode, and after finishing it, I genuinely missed it. When a series leaves that kind of feeling behind, it’s usually a sign of a great watch—especially for devoted romance fans.

Definitely not boring.

Ok so I want to start by saying that this series is not for everyone. I’m sorry but if you want a easy/funny BL series to watch only to see your faves and for the NC scenes, this is not for you! In my opinion Melody of Secrets it’s not for everyone, it’s for a more mature audience who can understand the characters, dynamics and plots. It’s a murder-mistery romance, has heavy elements and you need to watch it with an open mind to understand it. The acting is amazing, every one of them made an excellent job in the interpretation of their role. For me, this is the best ForceBook acting work, they really put their hearts into this and improved a lot. I want to point out especially Kasibook’s acting especially since, in my opinion, his role is the most complex and emotionally challenging and he really did an amazing job into conveying his emotions/ feelings in such a natural way, and sometimes only with the help of his eyes. In these kind of series, the eyes and micro expressions are the best way to convey the importance of the moment, and he is really good at it. And please, for the love of God please stop saying that they don’t have chemistry! The chemistry is there and it’s amazing, the intimacy scenes are well done ( a little bit short sometimes hehe) and the love story is sad but beautiful. The only thing I did not like, and that has nothing to do with the actors, was the editing of some episodes.
If you want to see something different with an amazing cast and good storyline and a beautiful love story please give it a chance, you will not regret it.

A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME ! GIVE MY TIME BACK

I’m writing this review while feeling extremely disappointed, so yes, this is going to be blunt.

I stopped at episode 8, and I don’t regret it at all. For a 12-episode drama, this felt painfully long, repetitive, and pointless. Nothing moves forward, the story goes in circles, and by that point I truly felt like I had wasted my time.

I started Can This Love Be Translated? because of the cast. I really like both lead actors, especially the actress after Alchemy of Souls. The trailer and the concept looked promising. I was expecting a soft, slowly evolving romance. Instead, I got frustration.

The main couple is the biggest issue. Their relationship is just constant back and forth, with no emotional logic and no real progression. There is zero chemistry between them. No connection, no tension, no spark. Even by episode 8, nothing has evolved, and their dynamic feels stuck and exhausting.

The male lead is emotionally distant, cold, and driven by pride. The female lead, on the other hand, comes off as obsessed. She constantly runs after him, has no boundaries, and her behavior quickly becomes uncomfortable to watch. It doesn’t feel romantic at all, it feels UNHEALTHY, creepy, and borderline like stalking. This kind of dynamic should not be normalized!!!

What makes it worse is that her character is clearly not mentally stable, yet the story frames her obsession as love instead of something deeply problematic. She doesn’t need a relationship, she needs professional help. Watching her chase a man while clearly struggling feels wrong, and anyone who sees this as “romantic” is honestly missing how disturbing it actually is.

Both characters are problematic in their own way. He enables the situation instead of setting boundaries or encouraging something healthier, and she spirals deeper into obsession. As a couple, they make absolutely no sense together.

To be clear: both actors do a good job. This is not an acting issue at all. They play their roles well. The problem is the writing : the characters are badly written, incoherent, and emotionally disconnected.

The only positive thing is the production quality. Visually, the drama looks good, the actors are beautiful, and the filming is solid. But that’s it. The form is polished, the content is empty.

I’m dropping this drama. I don’t recommend it, I won’t finish it, and I won’t suggest it to anyone. Huge disappointment. And honestly? Netflix really needs to stop producing K-dramas like this. This one was just bad.

not the worst

judging on the many other reviews it has came to my attention many people dislike this and i can see why, no happy ending, sort of an abusive story, and left with a cliffhanger, but i’d definitely rewatch it. i watched this all in one night because of how hooked i was, only to find out that it was cut short.

i would definitely recommend this to my friends because of how addicting it is but there isn’t anything special about this title, so feel free to skip it, there isn’t anything to miss out on.

Mixed bag.

The good:
I liked the overall story although it is quite dark and not what I was expecting. Go Youn Jung is absolutely gorgeous, she plays the role so well. Overall casting is also very good. Scenery shots are great, try to watch on big screen with 4k.

The bad:
Imho :Ju Ho Jin is not a very likeable character. Even though he knows how fragile and vulnerable she is, he acts childish and egocentric. I get that he's not ready in the beginning, but at the end of episode 6, I was like wth. Knowing her problems and past well, he acted like a jerk imho. He is written completely inconsistent. Cha Mu Hui lays out her heart and treats her bad. Hiro is the much more likeable character. The whole part felt like they need to bring drama for no reason.

The ugly:
2nd pairing had the better love story imho. Misunderstandings were not forced and cleared up quickly. Like them a lot.

Overall: I would have dropped it after EP6, if it weren't for Go Youn Jung. Her acting and beauty kept me going. Otherwise there are so many better KDramas out there that I can't really recommend it. With that cast and great basic story, it was a wasted opportunity.

Pretty Good - to a Point - Still worth the watch

This was really good but not great. To be fair, I’m not a huge fan of Chinese historical/fantasy dramas (I like Korean series like this a bit more), even the ones where a character gets pulled into another world and the story splits time between modern and ancient settings—they’re rarely my first pick. Still, this show was entertaining enough to keep me watching all the way through. The interplay between the characters was genuinely fun, with great banter and dynamics that carried a lot of the episodes. I wish there had been more demon-fighting action spread throughout—like more good guys kicking demon butt against various lesser demons leading up to the climax—and less emphasis on the drawn-out buildup to the one big final battle with the Resentful Woman (the major demon antagonist). The whole story centered on that huge confrontation, which I understand was the big moment, but with the game-like setup (system tasks, bindings, levels), I expected more progressive plot flow with multiple smaller demon battles along the way. As a "Demon Hunter" fan, those action sequences were a highlight for me, and the show’s visuals in those moments were often stunning. Yu Shuxin’s performance as Ling Miaomiao was her usual bubbly, exaggerated, silly style that a lot of people criticize, but it genuinely fit the character—a modern girl who’s suddenly thrust into this serious demon-hunting world and reacts with humor and chaos.

I especially loved Ling Miaomiao’s relationship with the little bamboo demon; it added such a sweet, heartfelt layer.

Mu Sheng’s initial coldness and hardness toward her was compelling; I do love the classic trope of the icy, dangerous male lead who only softens for the female lead, Ling Miaomiao. That said, his constant willingness to murder her was a little tough to fully get past. Yes, it was all within the novel/game world, and she knew the “plot,” but from his perspective it was real, so it made her falling for someone capable of that feel a bit complicated.

I seriously loved Ling Miaomiao’s dad in the novel world—such a warm, lovable character. I wish he’d had way more screen time. I also would have liked if he had somehow still been alive when she came back to reality.

Liu Fuyi (the second male demon hunter) felt a bit flat early on—he didn’t appear much at first, and when he did it was mostly “my master” loyalty with little personality shining through. He became more defined and interesting later, which helped. But I had no attachment for him early on. He felt expendable in the beginning like a character that could have lost a battle and it wouldn't have much mattered. Had he been a developed a little more early on then his relationship in the later episodes would have been all the more compelling.

The humans-falling-for-demons (or demon-related beings) trope was harder for me to buy into. I know Eastern fantasy lore treats “demons” (yao) differently—not always purely evil like in Western stories—so I mentally recategorized Mu Sheng more as a tragic demi-god type to make it work for me personally. Otherwise it is a struggle to accept "nice" demons or just misunderstood demons if I accept them as such. I have to give them another category in my own mind to get past that.

One recurring confusion (shared by a lot of reviewers) is whether this is a book or a game world. It references both constantly—sometimes it feels like she transmigrated into a novel she read, other times the system tasks, levels, and bindings scream otome game. From what I’ve seen discussed online, it’s fundamentally a novel transmigration story with heavy game-like system mechanics, which is super common in this genre and explains why it feels like both.

I recently read that the Chinese government has been cracking down on cold-CEO-marries-impoverished-girl Cinderella tropes for setting unrealistic relationship expectations among young women. If that’s the case, I’m not sure how the completely fantastical idea of a human falling for a kind demon is any more grounded—we all have our priorities, I guess!

No regrets watching it at all—it was fun and well worth the time. I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys the genre, loves the actors, or wants a mix of romance, comedy, and fantasy action. I’d probably mention to close friends that the ending is disappointing so they’re prepared, but I wouldn’t spoil it for others. Would I watch it again? Probably not—the ending drags it down too much for a rewatch.

Detailed Spoilers

The biggest disappointment for me—and it seems for a huge chunk of the audience—was the ending. They spent shockingly little time on Ling Miaomiao’s return to reality. We find out Mu Sheng was essentially the author (or the real-world inspiration behind the story), and their brief school interactions hinted he already liked her, but the “reunion” is literally just him calling her name. It felt like the entire romance was being reset without giving us any payoff or development in the real world.

That lack of closure hit especially hard with the little bamboo demon—her relationship with him in the novel world was one of my absolute favorite parts, and seeing him in reality with just a passing moment of déjà vu and no real tie or future connection was heartbreaking.

The water demon scene was a massive highlight for me: the kidnapping, Mu Sheng coming to the rescue, the world literally flipping, and the gorgeous black-and-white world with pops of color in the costumes and scenery—it was visually stunning and one of the most memorable sequences in the whole show. More moments like that would have been perfect. That was what I felt like I signed up for in the whole set up of the premise. Them fighting progressively harder demons. And main girl gaining power over time. It went a bit different than that.

So disappointed that it didn't seem she was going to have real relationships in real time with all the characters she had built connections with in the game/novel. There was that déjà vu moment with the bamboo demons, but there’s no real follow-through. Presumably Mu Yao, Liu Fuyi, and others are based on real people he drew from, but we get zero closure on whether Ling Miaomiao ever reconnects with their counterparts or rebuilds those friendships. The friendships were genuinely fun and added a lot to the show, so dropping them entirely felt like a waste. And what about everyone left in the novel world? It felt so real while she was there. So, it genuinely felt like they were all just left hanging.

Another major frustration: the leads never share a proper kiss until a weird, brief moment in a special/post-credits scene. Without that physical moment, the romance never fully felt “sealed”—they came across more like super close buddies than a couple in love. A little intimacy goes a long way to sell the emotional stakes. Many reviewers echo this complaint, noting that while the second couple (Mu Yao and Liu Fuyi) got actual kiss scenes and more chemistry, the main leads conspicuously avoided it. Speculation points to possible actor preference (Zhang Linghe has had limited on-screen intimacy in some projects), production choices, or censorship—Esther Yu clearly has no issue with kiss scenes in her other dramas. Whatever the reason, it left the romance feeling incomplete for a lot of us.

Overall, a fun, addictive watch with great tropes and characters, but the rushed ending and lack of romantic payoff kept me from feeling it deserved to rate higher.

The Romance of Tiger and Rose

It’s actually really cool to go back and watch this drama because it was first made in 2020, so quite a long time ago. Ding Yuxi and Zhao Lusi looked so young back then and you can really see how they have progressed as actors/actresses and just their overall development.

Overall, my thoughts are conflicted. The last like 5 episodes were great and I binged them all in 1 day, like I couldn’t stop. But, the first like 15 episodes were dragging on for me. I mean, there were definitely some good and cute and funny parts, but overall, there was nothing really interesting in those parts for me so I struggled to get into it a little bit. I think I realized that for historical dramas, I need some action. I really like fantasy genres, wuxia, xianxia, but I need more action than what this drama gave. To be fair, there were some fighting scenes and everything but I wanted more. It was ok - final opinion.

First impressions of this drama are very conflicted. What the heck was I watching was a question that came through my mind? How the heck did she get transported into her own script? I did not expect it to be like this. It was a lot more dramatic and comedic than I thought. I don't know how I feel about it yet, but I've only finished episode 1 at the time that I'm typing this so, hopefully the story gets deeper and more emotional as we get to see the characters’ true feelings. I’m not gonna lie, after episode 2, I’m still like super bored. I hope that this drama picks up and more exciting things start to happen. It’s still just comedic for the most part and sometimes, even a little bit cringey or like I get second-hand embarrasment.

I did love when Qianqian showed her strength though. The lengths that she will go to in order to protect her family. She got whipped 27 times in order to help her sister work hard and rehabilitate her legs. She would not give up until she either drew or won, she will not accept defeat. Also, that scene just showed how Han Shuo understands the real Qianqian. He knew her wish wasn’t to give up because she’s hurting, but it was to fight all the way.

Really? It took Qianqian 13 episodes to realize what a good man Han Shuo was and that she probably likes him back. After all, she did write the character, so shouldn’t she realize this sooner? Does the sister truly want him or is this a power play to make Qianqian realize how lucky she is to have him? Because it’s so clear that Han Shuo likes Qianqian and not the second princess. I mean, he confessed already. I loved the scene where Han Shuo fought the drug and didn’t violate Qianqian’s privacy. Instead, he hurt himself to keep himself grounded through pain and didn’t do anything that Qianqian felt uncomfortable with.

It’s already episode 15 and I still don’t like QianQian’s character. She keeps on thinking about herself only and her situation, not taking Han Shuo’s feelings or emotions into account. He withstood so much pain for her from that iron hot bracelet, but she turned him down and didn’t even let him explain what he felt. She’s so dismissive and almost egotistical so far and I really feel bad for Han Shuo because she doesn’t deserve his kindness and good grace. I lied, she realized her mistake like 20 minutes after I wrote this out. The fireworks were so cute and I loved how Han Shuo realized the importance of her mother to her and killing the mother would not help Qianqian and his relationship. Finally, everyone had started to accept them as a real couple.

Bro when they started actually dating, tell me why I got so much secondhand embarrassment from their clingy-ness. I felt like I was watching some kindergartners.

Han Shuo is willing to give Qianqian his life, his own safety, and everything he has to make her feel better about her position within her own city, while leaving himself vulenrable. Meanwhile, Qianqian is planning to get rid of Han Shuo in this story to “keep him safe.” She’s making plans without telling him which is exactly what she said she wouldn’t do. Although idk if she really has a choice, cus she can’t explain to him how she’s the scriptwriter and not the actual person. Like, it’s such a unique situation to explain. Ultimately, though, Han Shuo is the more understanding and reliable one in this relationship definitely.

Bro episode 18 broke me. Why the heck was Qianqian so mean? She broke their ink pad and got rid of any meaning that their relationship had. When she broke the ink pad and their moments were passing by and recollected, I felt so bad for Han Shuo. He even tore off the bracelet despite the pain. “I thought you were a rose with thorns and wanted to put you on. Now looks like you’re jsut a thorn.”🌹🥀 awww…he’s so disappointed. His face of betrayal. I know she had good intentions too, trying to save him, but it’s always better to talk things through instead of making plans alone. She caused way too much pain necessary for what she was trying to accomplish. Why is everything crashing and burning this episode? Su Mu having to leave his love too, her being able to stand up and walk to try to stop him, but ultimately, he left.

Even after Han Shuo besieged the city and said he wanted to take his revenge on Qianqian, I can still see the love he has. He is still caring and compassionate for her at the end of the day. Even if he didn’t say it, you can tell that he is still very reserved and not bringing any harm to her.

What the heck is happening? How is Qianqian dead at episode 21? What is going to happen for the rest of the drama? Although this was the first time that I truly saw Qianqian’s devotion for Han Shuo the way he was toward her. She gave herself up for her and ended up killing herself in his place. The screams when she killed herself were devastating though. Bro, she can’t actually be dead. I’m predicting she’s either going to be reborn in her past life and get with Han Shuo’s actor that way or she had some trick and staged her own death. I KNEW IT. 5 MINUTES LATER AND SHE IS ALIVE AGAIN. This drama is actually so comedic bro.

WHAT. NO. EPISODE 26. ALL OF THAT FOR HAN SHUO TO DIE IN THE SAME WAY AS THE ORIGINAL STORY WHILE CHUCHU GETS TO LIVE!? Oh nevermind, bro this drama is giving me a headache. It made it seem like he was dead bro. Ig now he’s alive but actively dying. I’m so confused how this drama is going to end. Still, at the end though it’s Han Shuo that gives up what he has for her. He struggles and makes it so that everyone knows that Qianqian is the one that is supposed to rule. That way, she can return to her old life even if it means giving her up in this one. He’s the selfless one in this drama time after time again. I really hope they show them 2 meeting in the modern life though and getting married happily ever after. Aw, the ending was cute. I wouldnt have guessed that Han Shuo came back too and its the same dude. I wanted to see more of them in the end though, like 1 more episode of the modern world.

Great acting but messy plot line.(lots of scenes just don't add up)

‎The plotline is a bit messy, not well arranged and the episodes don't always continue from where it stops which makes the drama a bit confusing and annoying to watch.
‎But the actors tried their best which I could notice and see that throughout the series.it's rare for the acting in mini dramas like this to be good but these actors gave it their all which is why I continue to watch the drama.
Even though the plotline wasn't that enjoyable,I could bear it because of the acting.

‎Overall, it's okay to watch when there's nothing else but I definitely can't rewatch.

Why Love in the Clouds Stayed With Me — Enemies Turned Lovers Done Right

Love in the Clouds completely won me over. I loved everything about it.. the storyline, the acting, the OST.. every single part just worked. The main couple’s chemistry is superb, the kind that pulls you in and makes you emotionally invested from start to finish. I’m honestly going to miss them so much.

This drama cost me several sleepless nights because I had to know what would happen next, even on days when I had to wake up early for work. 😭 It’s only the second xianxia I’ve ever watched and finished, and since I don’t usually watch this genre, my expectations were already high because of the first one.. but Love in the Clouds actually exceeded them.

Yes, there were a lot of misunderstandings, which could be frustrating at times, but they also made the story more engaging and emotionally intense. In the end, I think the plot flowed well because of those conflicts. I especially loved how the last 30 minutes of the final episode mainly focused on the main couple.. it felt rewarding, intimate, and emotionally satisfying. Overall, this drama left a strong impression on me, and I’ll definitely be carrying the feels for a long time. ☁️❤️

#JusticeForVivi

I really enjoyed this show as it is very realistic even in the small amount of episodes there are. My only problem is the fact they killed off the main character Jattawa's little sister Vivi as it seemed unnecessary and it barely effects the plot at all. I really enjoyed the characters specifically the 2 main characters Jattawa and Four and Four's rival Kie as well as Vivi.

Only 10 episodes have been released as of now but the story line, acting, cinematography etc everything is top notched. The suspense and mystery storyline is well depicted in depth and it shows the difficulties and injustice the common people and women received . Also, the fl’s character, Li Peiyi is extremely intelligent, decisive, and good at martial arts. The ml, Xiao Huajin doesn’t know martial arts but he is very observant and plays a huge role in solving cases along with Peiyi. Both FL and ML are extremely intelligent and bring justice content ly which makes us viewers feel satisfied. There is romance between the leads however, it’s not too heavy. Although there’s romance, one don’t become weak and overly rely on the other. Both are equally intelligent, strong and capable. The voices aren’t dubbed and are the origins voices of the actors and actresses. Not to mention that the supporting and guest casts brings a lot to the table as well. There aren’t filler or unnecessary characters, misunderstandings, cases either. All of the cases and characters are interesting and they play an important role in the story. This drama also shows that the evil might seem to win, life may seem and be unfair but justice will always prevail in the end. The road might be tough, life might feel hopeless but light will come through. I usually skip scenes in c-dramas but for this drama, I don’t even skip 10s. Rather than skipping, I would even rewind the scenes because each and every scene have a hidden meaning and plays an important role in solving the case. This drama might not be the one for those who only seek pleasure in romance, peace, comedy, unrealistic dreams, etc because this drama shows the reality, the injustice people receive in the world, the dark side of the above, strategies, decisiveness, grief, etc. I honestly don’t get why people are downvoting this drama already because it’s one of the most perfect suspense mystery drama ever. Either they’re people who choose to ignore the bitter reality and only seek pleasure in happy, unrealistic, romantic, comedy dramas or they’re low IQ incels who don’t have enough brain cells to process a gem.
