I really enjoyed this drama mostly for the female lead and second male lead but also for the scenery and patches of side stories.While there were several turns that had me doubting the plot, and risked major moments of second hand embarrassment. I believe they kept an okay balance and had me pressing that next episode button over and over again... secretly wishing I could take a day off just to binge...
I loved the female lead, every part of her, every personality of hers, her acting, her being an actress, her smile. Everything, While I have seen her in dramas before, this is the performance that puts her on my crush-list, and will have me deliberately checking out more of her work.
Its not a perfect story, and it has some points that feel under-explored, and kind of iffy. The last episode is a mess a true victim of lazy writing, feels a bit like oh we have 30 threads to tie up in just one episode, lets add another thread or two instead of offering proper closure.
But other then that its a fun watch.

lowkey confused by the genre, but I highkey couldn't stop watching
I’m honestly vibing with this drama so much. What I love is how steady the pace is, there aren't any crazy emotional rollercoasters or plot twists that feel forced or disappointing. It just stays in its lane. I started off giving it a 8/10, but after a few episodes, it’s definitely a 8.5/10. It gets more interesting as it goes without ever getting boring, though I wouldn’t say it’s a total 'mind-blowing' masterpiece. It’s just super entertaining, I mean, I literally binged all 12 episodes in just two days.The only reason I’m not giving it a perfect 10 is the genre. It’s kinda hard to pin down, you know? It’s got romance, a splash of comedy, some darker moments, and a psychological edge. It’s such a rare combo for a K-drama that it leaves me a bit confused, but not necessarily in a bad way.

Not a light romcom!
I went into this expecting a light romcom about language, but it ended up being much more about emotional translation, how people avoid processing their feelings and instead keep adapting themselves for others.It had cute moments, but emotionally it felt heavier and more introspective than expected. The mental health aspect and emotional misunderstandings carried more weight than the romance at times. Visually, the drama was beautiful and calm, which really fit the tone.
The plot and romcom writing were pretty generic and had noticeable holes, but the emotional moments helped balance that out. Some of the most meaningful scenes weren’t even romantic, especially the conversations where emotions were acknowledged rather than fixed.
I also really liked the second couple. even though their storyline needed better development. What started as something casual turned into a clear, intentional choice, and that certainty meant a lot to me.
Not perfect, and probably would’ve been stronger ending at episode 10, but still an unexpectedly thoughtful watch.

I Really liked this show so much.Firstly, i'll say dont try to judge the Whole show by the description Written on MDL or anywhere, In My Opinion Just Give it a go .
Moreover, the casting was good and it was very fun to watch them and female lead's reaction were so Kawaii and Innocent Sometimes.
Additionally, I Noticed that there were no strong emotions like Too much anger , Jealousy or plotting anything like that just lightweight I'd say.
Following this I'd say watch if you want something light, comedy and with no overly complex story telling or misunderstandings. JUST WATCH,,,,,,WILL NOT NEED TO USE ANY ENERGY TO UNDERSTAND OR FIGURE OUT ANYTHING ...

Can This Love Be Translated? Review - ZyKuu
"Love is a language that requires two interpreters" - The story is very unique and has no errors. As the series progressed, I found myself becoming fascinated by how the plot continuously thickened and the twists were revealing itself throughout. I found the relation between translator and actress to be very distinct. Although there was one plot twist that was unnecessary and diminished the total value of the script. The main leads Cha Mu-hee and Joo Ho-jin were absolutely phenomenal in their roles. Mu-hee illustrated the image of Do Ra-mi majestically and her ability to switch between both egos was otherworldly. She displayed her versatility as an actress at a high level and she deserves flowers for this performance. Ho-jin acting skills are remarkable and apart from nailing his role, he possessed the ability to speak multiple languages fluently. That in itself is should attest to the amount of work he had to put into this role. The romance between Mu-hee and Ho-jin was chefs kiss. Their relationship formed from an innocent gesture as a stranger which grew into a requited one sided love that eventually translated into a relationship. Hiro was my favourite cast member as I grew to love his character in the show. In addition, I found him to be the funniest through his acting ability and facial expressions. His dynamic with other members were also very unique and entertaining. Nanami, Kim Yong-u and Shin Ji-sun were the other key cast members that stood out for me in particular. The OST is absolutely amazing as there is so much variety from this project. This project was shot across three countries and it was executed beautifully. The sceneries and environments captured on screen were breathtaking and really inspire you to travel as well. Parece un romance que va a seguir el camino seguro, donde todo se acomoda con el amor, pero poco a poco te muestra que no siempre es así. La relación entre los protagonistas se construye desde la conexión emocional y las palabras no dichas, haciendo que el vínculo se sienta real. El drama te eleva, te hace confiar, y luego te deja caer sin aviso. No romantiza el amor, lo confronta, y por eso deja un vacío que permanece incluso después de terminarlo.

Beautiful Chaos Wrapped in Romance
I went into Can This Love Be Translated? with extremely high expectations. The premise sounded refreshing, the cast was stacked with talented actors, and the first few episodes genuinely felt like the beginning of something special. And honestly? The drama does shine in many ways — but somewhere along the journey, it loses its balance and turns into a chaotic emotional rollercoaster.The biggest strength of this drama is definitely the cast. Kim Seon Ho once again proves why he’s such a captivating actor. He brings warmth, vulnerability, and charm to his role effortlessly, making even the weaker scenes watchable. The supporting cast also delivered strong performances, and one thing I really appreciated was how naturally the foreign characters spoke instead of forcing awkward accents like many dramas tend to do.
Visually, this drama is stunning. Some scenes looked straight out of a travel documentary, with gorgeous cinematography that elevated even the quietest moments. The dialogue also deserves praise for feeling surprisingly natural. While there are a few cheesy moments here and there, it never becomes overwhelmingly cringe.
However, the drama’s biggest weakness is its storytelling. What started as a refreshing romance slowly transformed into something overly complicated and emotionally exhausting. The plot kept introducing unnecessary twists and themes until it barely resembled the drama it began as. The pacing became messy, repetitive conflicts kept resurfacing, and by the end, it felt like the story was running in circles.
The romance itself also felt emotionally unstable. Instead of rooting for the couple with excitement, I often felt anxious waiting for the next heart breaking moment. Even during their happy scenes, the drama constantly hinted that something bad was around the corner, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the romance aspect.
Another issue was the drama trying a little too hard to feel deep and philosophical. While the themes about trauma, healing, and emotional connection were meaningful, the execution sometimes felt overly theatrical and forced. It leaned so heavily into symbolism and emotional intensity that it occasionally lost its natural flow.
That said, the drama reminded me a lot of It’s Okay to Not Be Okay with its quirky atmosphere, emotional trauma, and complex family dynamics. Fans of emotionally heavy melodramas may actually appreciate this shift more than viewers expecting a light hearted romance.
In the end, Can This Love Be Translated? is a drama filled with beautiful moments, strong performances, and emotional depth — but also frustrating storytelling choices that prevent it from reaching its full potential. Despite all its flaws, it’s still memorable enough that I’d consider re watching parts of it again.

This drama is just soooooo beautiful. The story is written from the perspective of a girl who isn't that good in expressing her thoughts. She's confused the same way every girl feels while conveying their feelings. She understands but misunderstands, she speaks but expresses less, she gaslights herself a lot, and especially she takes time to love him,to wait for him and this is what many of us do. I loved it so much. It felt like someone is trying to replicate my emotions and my confusions on screen. It was a very creative way to present the two different clashes/dynamics that everyone undergoes psychologically- Do Rami. There are various aspects of this drama that are amazing. This drama is so WELL WRITTEN. Hong Sisters - girls you never disappoint 🥰

Great cast and production, but the story loses its way
The production quality and the cast are honestly over the top the show looks incredibly expensive and the actors are all amazing. But the story itself doesn’t really keep up. It actually gets less interesting as the episodes go on, and it feels like a chore to finish. I really didn't like the 'Do Ra-mi' stuff in her head; it was way too over-the-top and felt like a weird fantasy that ruined the mood. A bit convoluted and sometimes confusing
After watching this series i wish they just made the Do Ra-Mi movieFirst the casting, its mostly ok. Though i think ML was a miscast, he just feels too old. Especially with his mom's actress being only 7 years older than him, but i guess thats a too young casting there.
The side romance was completely unnecessary and honestly i disliked the second FL, i think its mainly the way her character was handled and presented because done differently she could have been fun. Like i have no idea what was supposed to make the manager dude like her.
The main story was sometimes nice but sometimes very confusing and not in a way that feels intentional because of FL's split personality. Honestly dont have too much to say it just felt like a mishandled premise. And i hated the ending, so many twisty twists, why? "But wait there is more twists. But wait even more, and some extra on top"

I HATE MISCOMMUNICATION ?
First of all the drama was so cutee and adorable. I loved Mu-hee's character development. The story was pretty basic nothing special but I liked how they dealt with her childhood trauma and how that affected her relationships. I loved the male lead, even though sometimes he sent her mixed signals imo. BUT THEY HAD SO MUCH MISCOMMUNICATION 😭😭 DON'T GET ME WRONG I LOVED THE DRAMA. IT WAS EASY TO WATCH AND I LOVED THE ACTORS BUT THE MISCOMMUNICATION 💔💔. They could've just talked and everything would've been resolved. I feel like they kind of stretched it just to hit the 12 episode mark. Would I rewatch this ?? personally no because the miscommunication annoyed me so much, it was cute and all but not worth rewatching imo. I also loved the second lead Hiro, at first I hated him but he grew on me. And people who are saying that he should've ended up with Mu-hee make no sense 😭. I felt kind of bad for him but I liked his character development and how he was able to grow because of his experiences.Was this review helpful to you?
