Soft Corn

I don't usually write reviews on this side but this title gave me chills, no, no good ones. It was basically painful and cringy to watch.
The amount of spicy scenes is outrageous... as someone already said they propably hired someone from gay porn industry to help with this show.

Jun is annoying character, too childish, he doesn't have assertiveness in him.
Sorn is too toxic and the beginning of their relationship is full of gaslighting from the older one.

Of course the was a lot of cute moments so overall rating is 5 no 1 but this really was paintful.
In Thai series there is a lot of scenography errors but in this one 2 mainly was hilarious:
1) Jun had hickeys on his neck, then later in episode the marks were gone only to appear scene after XDDD
2) Sorn's beard - yeah in the photos you can see Sorn with beard, I was pretty sure it was drawn as joke before watching show... but it was his "real" beard, XDDD

trash BL but somehow you will wait for a new episodes with excitement and love the MLs

It is really addictive! I was waiting every week for a new episode. The week never felt so long.
I loved Sorn and Jun; their interaction was great, also the chemistry. Sometimes I felt like I was watching a porn. It was nice to see how their relationship developed and how Sorn changed for the better.
But that is about it. The storyline is terrible, and I did not care about the other characters, as I always skipped their scenes. The acting was terrible especially the second ML couple. So basically, Sorn & Jun saved the drama.

If you wanna watch it - watch it for the main couple and ignore the rest, and do not think too much about the story.

feels like when smutty wattpad meets tv adaptation

Have you ever read the description of a series and thought, "Hmmm this doesn't sound too bad" despite the low scores? Only to then proceed anyway and realize, "Oh. Those scores exist for a reason...."?

Yeah that basically summed up how I immediately felt after the finale of My Stubborn. This series left me feeling surprisingly conflicted but only because I knew I'd have a hard time gaging how I should score it in my review. That's because if you score it as a spicy, smutty series, then it gets a passing score. But if you score it with the idea of storytelling in mind, it gets something probably far lower than what I put.

Mind you, my score took into consideration the undeniable fact that this was based off a smut which meant my score had to be more lenient. Because if I'm being honest, I enjoyed the steamy scenes between Sorn x June, and Penny x Jun was fine as well. Yes, I deliberately left Thai x Champ out of the equation.

The story itself is virtually nonexistent and what does exist really feels off. I felt like so much was omitted such as flashbacks to help establish interpersonal connections between characters and quality relationship building. There are 12 episodes of this show yet I feel like I know so little of why Thai is overprotective of June or why Sorn and Thai are bffs.

The couples themselves suffer the worst from the gap in writing like when I had no idea when or why Sorn liked June as much as he did other than them having a few brief sexual encounters. There's also the added creep factor of him calling June "kid" all the time, which only served to make their relationship seem more unbalanced than it already was. Not to mention that June is Thai's self-proclaimed "little brother" that he is overprotective of, yet Sorn decides to target him anyway, despite being Thai's bff. You cannot convince me that Sorn was unaware of how vulnerable June was and yet he kept pressuring him into sexual encounters anyway. Though, I wouldn't have minded it nearly as much if they didn't accentuate June's youth and naivety when it comes to sex.

As for Thai and Champ (I think that was his name), they were as flavorful as a stale piece of bread. They had no chemistry in sexual scenes and their romance was boring to boot. With the way they acted I'd assumed they had been together longer than a married couple; only to then find out near the end that they weren't even dating! Yet they jump from situationship into borderline engagement? Seems kinda rushed to me.....

Penny and Jun really were irrelevant. I seriously wondered why they were even there when they had negative scenes. Their relationship also felt weird since it was a strict superior that boasts of workplace discipline yet bends the subordinate over a desk to touch them in the office. It felt very hypocritical and I was shocked when Penny got turned into a sub when Jun entered the picture. The flirty experienced "dom" gets turned into a blushing sub by someone who doesn't put up with their shit trope. They really subverted our expectations with that one, huh?

The whole thing of Sorn not liking "kids" was weird because June wasn't exactly underage. And that flashback of him with the girl needed more elaboration other than "she framed me." It was especially weird that she was still just in his life after that too. He almost went to jail I think. That also raises the concern of their ages at the time too...

Thanu was pretty funny and probably the only part of the show I liked. He served to kind of help the main two bridge between each other's feelings. It was a liiiittle weird how excited he got seeing his brother getting it on though. I think the normal reaction would be to shield your eyes or freak out. When I first saw him I really was amazed at how alike him and Sorn look if you squint your eyes. That was some decent casting other than me confused on who was older.

Delivery guy Jom was completely useless in verse and I had no idea why they hinted at him being a love interest if it never went anywhere anyway. This was a reoccurring theme with this show: introduce a character and/or conflict, then never really resolve it. Some highlights are that fighting straight couple that kept appearing, Piang, the weird club owner guy, two random kids running a coffee shop on their own, etc.

The most satisfying part of the entire series was June telling Sorn off in ep 9 (?). Then him ghosting him was deserved. That sketched on pencil beard on the other hand, was not. Why was the audience punished with that? Especially since June just takes him back after Sorn pushes him a little and then they screw on the fire escape of their own workplace.....where Thai and Champ supposedly hear. I personally don't like sex scenes in really uncomfortable places like public spaces or ones with surveillance footage. It cringes me out because it's pretty gross. I also have no idea why Thai didn't murder Sorn after that. I feel like anyone would be pissed that their barely legal little sibling is getting screwed at their workplace by your bff that lead them on for months behind your back. Sorn should've been running but he just cracked a few jokes with Thai instead.

Win did quite literally nothing in this story. He only served looks and inconvenient timing. His friendship with June was cute except for when it made me feel uncomfortable at how young mentally they seem in comparison to Sorn and Thai. I could've sworn when that dude who wanted to hit on Champ at the end (because why not just throw in a love rival at the last second for pointless drama?) looked up the boss' kids that he was going to assume Win was the other with Champ as an excuse to keep the stupid drama going. It also could've been used for a comedic scene. But no.......he knew it was Thai and it just ended there. What a waste of time.

The production was pretty good all things considered. I think there were times when a filter was too strongly applied, but the show was not ugly to look at. It wasn't really exceptional though except when June visited Sorn's mom's place. That place was quite photogenic. No wonder he wanted a photoshoot there.

Music was absolutely forgettable except during sex scenes where it would usually try to be sensual and exciting except for in ep 5 when Thai and Win decided to be nuisances. It suddenly become spunky music instead. I won't lie; I thought that scene was hilarious the first time I watched it.

The realism of the sex scenes is a different issue, but since it was just meant to be fast smut, I'll let it slide. In smutville we don't worry about condoms, STDs, and aftercare.

I also was tired of seeing the same outfit style all the time; and this show was a sad excuse of an office romance too when all it shows is superiors harassing subordinates and interns at the workplace. The setting really contributed very little to the story. It also forced Sorn to keep his hair up which SUCKED because he became 85% more attractive when he took it down and let it flow✨️.

Casting was fine for this quality of show. I wasn't expecting Scarlet Johanson or anything. June and Sorn had good chemistry and did alright with their characters. The lesbians somewhat had chemistry and did alright too, though Penny carried it. I was frothing at the mouth when she came on screen and she was probably one of the better actors in this. Thai and Champ chemistry wise......pack it up. Acting wise? They did alright with what they were given. They could feel stiff at times, but it didn't really bother me because they weren't portraying demanding characters or emotional scenes (most of the time).

Rewatch value? I'd only rewatch the funny scenes and the.......🤫 scenes. Ifykyk.

Would I recommend? Only for the smutty angle, because storytelling is NOT it. But have fun anyway~✨️💖✨️

This show is basically p*rn

I hated the main two characters so much. It felt like they were trying to be Boss and Noeul. I don't know if that was intentional or not, but that's the vibe it gave. And it did not work...at all. They were just very unlikable together and apart. I wish we got more time with the B couple because I thought they were more interesting. Though I feel like Yoon needs to work on his acting a little bit because I didn't always feel very much emotion from him. That being said, I enjoyed watching him more than Boat and Oat. The spice in this show was insane. Just straight up p*rn sometimes. I'm here for the spice so I don't mind.

ONLY One Reason To Watch!

Overall, this was one of the worst BL series I have seen this year. It had no serious plot. A lot of the characters are cartoonish if not caricatures. Most came across as wooden, stiff, dull, and lifeless. The story meander pointlessly. And every cliché and trope imaginable was used to try and create links between storylines to keep this silly mess of a story going. There is ONLY one reason to watch this fiasco. Everything, and I do mean everything, is centered, linked, and focused on the bond between Jun (Oak Pasakorn) and Sorn (Boat Yongyut). Nothing else matters. I honestly did not care about anything that did not pertain to Jun and Sorn. All I cared about was watching them. They have a screen chemistry and a magic that is simply off the charts. It is too bad that I could not separate out only the segments where Jun and Oak are in. I would give that story a rating of 5 stars!

Jun is perpetually MISERABLE

while the erotica is nice, watching 12 episodes of Jun being miserable is pure torture. I just want to shake him and tell him stop, get out, you are being manipulated and emotionally abused. how can everyone not see how miserable, scared and forlorn Jun is? Theynknownthisnis Sorns “MO” , but who would want their brother or best friend having to deal with it on a daily basis?

Aron needs to be fired from the job for sexual harassment and bullying. He is an awful, selfish individual.

I have rewatch over and over again. one of the best. out of many so far. it's one of the top thai bls that has ever been made .

My Stubborn — Attractive Cast, but the Emotion Never Truly Lands

When I started My Stubborn, I expected a drama built on tension, attraction, and the clash between two strong personalities. The title itself suggests characters who refuse to give in easily, people who push each other emotionally until something deeper appears between them. Unfortunately, the series never fully manages to translate that idea into a convincing relationship.

The casting clearly focused on visuals first. Boat Yongyut has a very particular presence on screen. His beauty is soft and almost feminine, which gives his character a fragile and vulnerable image. That look is probably exactly why he was chosen for the role. He attracts attention immediately, and visually he fits perfectly into the type of character the series seems to want to present. Opposite him, Oat Pasakorn brings a completely different energy. His performance feels stronger, more confident, and much more committed emotionally. Throughout the drama it really feels like he is the one carrying the relationship and trying to make the story believable. Whenever the two share a scene, you can see him putting effort into the emotional tension, trying to create something intense between the characters. This becomes especially visible during the intimate moments. The series clearly uses those scenes as a way to show the emotional connection between the characters. Oat Pasakorn gives everything in those moments. His acting shows vulnerability, attraction, and frustration all at once. You can feel that he is trying to communicate real desire and emotional attachment.

The problem is that Boat Yongyut rarely matches that level of intensity. Instead of feeling like an equal partner in the relationship, his character often comes across as passive. His expressions and reactions sometimes give the impression of a wounded puppy rather than someone emotionally fighting for the relationship. Because of that imbalance, many scenes that should feel passionate or emotionally explosive end up feeling strangely one-sided. This lack of balance affects the romance itself. Instead of watching two people falling deeply in love, it sometimes feels more like two good friends sharing physical intimacy without a truly convincing emotional bond behind it. The attraction is there, but the deeper connection never fully appears.

The writing also contributes to the problem. The story itself is fairly simple and never really develops the characters beyond their surface personalities. Conflicts appear but are resolved quickly, and emotional moments that could have added depth to the relationship often pass too quickly to leave a lasting impact. The drama wants to create tension, but it rarely gives the characters enough time or development to make that tension meaningful. The production elements don’t add much support either. The music is quite forgettable and rarely enhances the emotional tone of the scenes. Some moments that should feel dramatic or romantic end up feeling flat simply because the atmosphere around them isn’t strong enough.

Despite these issues, the drama isn’t completely without value. Oat Pasakorn’s performance keeps the story watchable, and visually the cast fits the genre very well. But strong visuals alone cannot replace the emotional depth that a romance story requires.

Final Thought

My Stubborn had the ingredients for a much stronger BL drama: attractive actors, a premise built on emotional conflict, and the potential for intense chemistry. Unfortunately, the imbalance between the leads and the weak character development prevent the story from reaching that potential. Oat Pasakorn does his best to carry the emotional weight of the relationship, but without a believable connection from both sides, the romance never truly convinces. It’s watchable for the cast, but it’s not a drama that leaves a strong emotional impact.

Super Spicy X Highly Toxic

Spice/ Chemistry 10/10
Story 7/10
Red Flag lead stayed a Red Flag (until the special episodes when he was much softer). Too many people/ unnecessary side characters. Too much repitition in dialogue. The mutual consent was a bit too gray for me.

Simply ... A guilty pleasure

It's a fact known to everyone who watches BL that Thai BL are quantity over quality, they produce a thousand show per year and you can barely find a bunch of them to be good or watchable.

First, I have to point out that the story is different from what's written in the synopsis here, there is no pranks or childish behaviour anywhere, there is only a senior who is at odds with his junior and he picks on him sometimes, that's it.

This series is one of the few that you simply don't watch it for the story or acting, but only if you are looking for a specific thing this drama has.
It's very light, not serious, erotic, and I dare say romantic (sort of), a red flag with questionable ideas type of romance but a romantic nonetheless.
Long story short, you watch it for the s*x scenes or to enjoy the pretty faces of the cast or watch it while doing anything to pass time, or simply you have too much time on your hands

Acting was barely acceptable, some characters had potential and room for improvement, story nonexistent, the idea is very simple however ~
There is nothing to write home about, except it is watchable not terrible that you'd drop it, but keep your expectations low, very low and you will be fine ~~

What many missed.... spoiler heavy post series review

Where to begin... this series had flaws, sometimes big ones, but what won me over was it's heart. Most fixate on the NC, and yes, there was plenty of it, much of it very well done between Sorn and Jun, but the story underneath is worth paying attention to. I almost wrote it off after the opening scene. Even though Jun consented to a shared viewing, Sorn "helping" him wasn’t consented to at first, and that put me in a real dilemma. I kept going, mostly because I saw something deeper in how the two interacted in the stairway scene where Jun meets Sorn again after a few years, and I’m glad I did.

Both Jun and Sorn are carrying a lot of pain, and they projected it onto each other. Their insecurities made their actions feel real. You could see them growing because of what they’ve been through. Their choices mattered because the show let consequences play out instead of sweeping everything under the rug. Their relationship wasn't instant love. It was earned through mistakes, awkward moments, and slowly learning to hear each other.

Family and friend pressure/expectations gave everything more weight. Even the power imbalance between them was addressed head-on. Jun blaming Sorn for his own desires and saying horrible things came from a place that felt very real. Even the NC moments usually showed a range of emotional, like exploring their sexuality and desires, letting their guard down, or confronting new feelings.

The second and third couples also had 'some' development. The show attempted to explore their feelings and connections, even if it was mostly uneven or superficial. The supporting characters were surprisingly not as annoying as they tend to be, and even the comic relief worked. BUT-...the little kids, though, were everywhere, almost like they were the producers’ kids. Super annoying.

End of the day, this series was about the messy, real process of growing up, facing yourself, and finding/being worthy of trust. It built to something substantial, and it’s short-sighted and a bit hypocritical to dismiss all that it just because of the sexual content.

Was it Shakespeare? No. But it was better than average, and resonated with me more than I expected.
