strong beginning, annoying middle, okay end

the beginning was so strong, i wish they kept that same energy throughout. unfortunately, the romance got lost in the very unnecessary love triangle. by the time the couple finally got together and we finally focused on them living with the baby again, again, the romance took a back seat.

final thoughts:
the whole show would be 100x better if they didnt do a love triangle. every other part of it was great and i wouldve loved to see more of the other characters and plot lines. i also wish there was more romance :/ especially given how mucb chemistry and tension that was built really well in the beginning. all in all, it was sweet and worth the watch (even though i wanted to bang my head in the middle).

People are being WAY too harsh on this drama imo

This drama is very slice of life and unpopular opinion I don’t see anything wrong with FL actions!

But I will say the advertisement and synopsis need to be corrected because they don’t explain the whole plot well.

First of all, when I watch dramas in a different language than my own I can’t really tell if the acting is bad so I don’t have any strong opinions on that besides the fact that I liked both actors in their roles I think they are great. I also like ML in the role better than his role in cheer I think he suits an older character better.

For the comments I’ve seen about FL body- I hope she is healthy and doing well but it is not mine or anybody who doesn’t know her personallys place to comment on these things. Especially since her body had NOTHING to do with her character, they never once tried to highlight or glorify her body so why it is even a conversation in these reviews is beyond me.

All of that aside I liked this drama. I think it was very sweet and on the slightlyyyyy more realistic side. I liked that the FL had an actual consideration of SML because her friendship with ML was strong enough to give the other guy a chance- it may have dragged on an episode too long but it’s a very real feeling to be confused about your feelings and needing time to decide who is best for you. especially since SML , while jealous at times, generally had FL and the babies best interest in mind. I wish I could have seen more moments of FLs emotions toward ML growing, instead of her guilt towards SML- though that was important as well.

I loved male lead throughout this but hated that he tried to ruin FL interview at the beginning and I don’t think he ever apologized as if he didn’t jeopardize the FL opportunity to get a job and support the baby that he wasn’t planning on having any involvement with. But his character development was great and he and his friends were all very likable. I also loved the support from neighbors, having a village when both characters grew up without big families was so great to see and important for both of them to experience.

Overall, it was a good drama imo I liked it enough to finish it! People just love to hate and are pretty dramatic about their distaste for FL. let a girl live!

This series tries to be a romantic comedy, but it's stupid and has an unbearable FL!

PLOT: A young couple dies in a car accident, leaving behind a 2-year-old child. The child's aunt (the mother's sister) and the baby's uncle (the father's brother) move in temporarily to care for the child. The ML, a photographer, has taken parental leave, and the FL starts a new job. She then realizes that her boss is her first love. ML and FL will face co-parenting and learn to appreciate each other.

+++ The ML is adorable, a tsundere, cute as a button.
+++ The kid is so cute he'd melt everyone's hearts.

That's it for the good points... Everything else is unbearable!

### The FL character is so poorly written: immature, selfish, agrees to be the nephew's guardian but doesn't take care of him, rude and disrespectful towards the ML, etc.
Furthermore, the actress has no charisma, no presence. Just bland.
### The twists are meant to be funny, but they're just brainless. The story is empty and should have been reduced to 5-6 episodes.

=> 4 episodes is enough! I'm done wasting my time and tearing my hair out ヾ (✿>﹏ ⊙〃)ノ
********************************************************

=> 4 épisodes, ça suffit ! J'arrête de perdre mon temps et de m'arracher les cheveux ヾ (✿>﹏ ⊙〃)ノ

Good Plot. Worst Execution.

This is One of the Few Dramas where I actually put it on hold in the middle of watching for so many days and only finished it for a sake of finishing it as I don't usually drop dramas. In this review I will briefly explain about the Good and Bad things of the drama from my point of view.

Good Things
1. The Baby - Usually the infant driven dramas are always good but it's rare due to various reasons but the toddler was good and actually made me watch it during its airing.

2. The Male Lead - Seemed cold at first but actually a decent good person who learnt from his mistakes on both responsibility and caretaking. ( P.S - He was good to the point i actually wanted the show to make another female character to end up with him )

And that's all the Good points from me. Unlike lot of people's bitching about poor acting, according to me- the acting wasn't awesome or best but it's okay atleast it didn't make me cringe mainly on the scenes with the toddler as they seemed natural. Still the Acting was bad but it's not the worst aspect of this drama.

Bad Things
1. Love Triangle - There was no need for this damned love triangle to be here. And if the writers really wanted the love triangle then make it a light love triangle like Hometown Cha cha cha or Our Beloved summer and so on. The Love triangle actually made the drama worsen to the point of no return.

2. The Female Lead - Contrary to people bashing the actress, i actually bash the character which was written ( I liked the actress acting in Our beloved summer ). This Female lead was one of the worst female lead of all time. How ? - Simple she led both ml and her senior by noose until the 10th episode. The fl will bitch about family this family that but won't keep the promise she made with ml. I mean she really didn't keep the single promise she made with ml throughout the long drama. Overall The female lead was one hell of terrible character.

3. The Screen Time - I really wanted to know how high the writers were when they started writing 6-10 episodes. I mean they totally reduced the ml timing and pushed the senior screen time highly. Unnecessary screen time for the unnecessary love triangle. wow this factor contributed half to the downfall of the drama.

4. No Character Depth - This was the driving force I expected in this drama but there was none. Not a single little character depth. In the 12 episodes drama all they shown was the fl and her senior love triangle with ml and the story only moved in the last 2 episodes in a hurried manner. Man when i first watched the first 2 episodes I was expecting a depth character on why and how the ml brother and fl sister backstory and how the ml brother regretted his decision of abandoning his brother and in the present the hard things of leads raising their nephew with hardships and lil bit of backstories from the neighbors who helps them and the father's abuse and his punishment. It's all my fault when i expected all good things from this drama. The most infuriating thing in this drama is the lack of shopping for things, man it used to be one of the most cliche things I like in the cohabitation drama. So Overall No Character Depth.

Tbh the premises for story was good and with a toddler in cast usually drama won't be bad with the exception of this one. The whole drama went to shit because the writer forgot the drama wasnt some love triangle awkward story but two strangers raising a baby after a unfortunate accident. I usually don't say this but this one of my most hated dramas in the list of Heartbeat, Midnight Studio, wedding Impossible, Lion's Secret and few on.

For Future viewer - Watch this if you want to watch a insufferable fl who goes on more dates on love triangle senior rather than ml than actually raising the kid whom she took responsibility.

A show that could have been great, and yet...

It could have been so good, almost like a Korean version of Life As We Know It (if you haven't watched it I would highly recommend a Hollywood take on a similar plot). Unfortunately, it ended up falling into the same old trap: a love-triangle-heavy storyline that felt bland and predictable. If I'm being honest even the love triangle part was boring, I personally couldn't care less how it ended simply because NONE of the characters were interesting.

Let's start with what I did like, which was the small community they built with the neighbors and how Hyeon Jin, Tae Hyeong and U-Ju became a true family. The ups and downs, their efforts and obstacles they faced...That aspect had so much potential, and I would have loved to see a clearer focus on the found-family dynamic. The child actor playing U-ju was absolutely adorable, and honestly the show could have worked much better as a family-centered story with the romance as a secondary element.

Instead, the characters felt underdeveloped, the script was somewhat lackluster, and the whole thing just felt like it was missing a bit of soul. One detail that also kept pulling me out of the story: because I’m fluent in Korean, I noticed that they kept addressing each other as “in-law” even after they supposedly grew closer and agreed to speak more casually. At that point it would have felt much more natural for them to start using each other’s actual names.

For the actual cast; I really like the actress Roh Jeong Eui, and I genuinely mean no harm, but every time she spoke, I found myself focusing more on how tired she appeared than on the actual scene, which pulled me out of the story. Her line delivery was also not her best work.

I’m also a fan of the male lead Bae In Hyuk from his early days, but the two leads just didn’t have any real chemistry together. Their dynamic never quite felt convincing. The second male lead didn’t help much either, his character felt like an overly idealized version of a past love. He was almost unrealistically nice and accommodating, to the point where it felt artificial. Love Park Seo Ham but I understand the backlash over how much screen time he occupied for it to serve no purpose in the end.

This could have been a healing drama with comedic moments, something about two people confronting the fact that they both grew up without a large family and slowly redefining what “family” means. There were interesting contrasts the show could have explored more deeply, like Hyeon Jin having her sister as a parental figure while Tae Hyeong never really had that kind of support, and how that shaped his feelings toward his own brother. They do get into this but it almost felt like an afterthought rather than a main focus.

In the end, the premise had a lot of potential, but the execution never quite lived up to it. I just think the show really missed the mark.

OUR UNIVERSE?????? MORE LIKE HYUNJIN'S UNIVERSE WITH SUNBAE!!!!

Never seen a show with so much potential being ruined this way. This show had everything, a good story, some good actors, emotional background.... And the most important one,Woojoo. This cute little munchkin was the most interesting part of the show,we all wanted to see his story. After his parents died, both his paternal uncle and maternal aunt had to take this two years olds responsibility. This could be such an adorable emotional journey of two broken adults suddenly becoming parents, coming closer and healing together through Woojoo, learning about parenting and eventually falling in love.

But what we got????? Woojoo being completely sidelined, his uncle Taehyung being the single dad who despite being the most distant one having no emotional connection with the baby, took his responsibility and practically living the life of a single dad. Meanwhile, his aunt, his actual legal guardian, who actually knew woojoo from before, almost abandoned them, always stays outside with her old crush, knows nothing about woojoo. Girl is so indecisive, she gives sparkly eyes to both the male leads and can never decide who should she be with. She never picks up phone whenever its from Taehyung when she is the legal guardian of a two years old. But when its a call from her crush??? Imagine what happens??? Yesssssss she recieves immediately. At this point she knows nothing about Woojoo and Taehyung knows, at least trying to know everything.

Idk how are they going to make this blunder work. Woojoo is the main focus of the show but we don’t even get to see him properly. All we see is female lead working with her crush, her crush driving her home, her going on a date with her crush and our og male lead just waiting for her and being miserable . And even the second ml is weired, imagine your boss overworking you till its late at night cause he likes you knowing you have a baby at home!! The female lead is so poorly written, that its just purely frustrating. Its 2026, you can't write a female lead so weak,so immature so indecisive when your goal is to make her a mother eventually. She is not even ready to be a partner, let alone a parent. Idk what the ml saw in her that he fell in love with her, girly wasnt even thankful that Taehyung stepped up and made her life easy by taking care of woojoo.

At this point,I can't even see ml and fl as a couple. It would be the best if Taehyung moves out of the apartment with Woojoo and later find someone that actually loves him and suitable for Woojoo. And Hyunjin can go with her boss or anywhere else, i don't care. These two has no connection left, they have nothing common. Nothing can save the story now. These writers should never write ever again!

Light, short and cute

I liked it! Yes it had a love triangle but what's a romance drama without a love triangle???
I think the leads paired well. 2 young persons who has been figuring out life and both lost someone close to them.
Of course taking care of a baby will be new and their routines will be different.
I am glad they had additional support system like friends and neighbours who could help when they can.
Listen the only part I didnt like and will not get over is that fact that she left that door open....
I dont care, that was very irresponsible so when they took the child away, I didnt really feel sorry as she should have done better. Just my personal opinion.

actual ragebait show

was excited for this child-care and in-law romance theme but am thoroughly disappointed

fl is actually braindead

the ml is not bad but why does he just let the fl and 2ml do what they want... should've just left with wooju smh and the 2ml... literally why is he everywhere

was so excited cuz wooju is so frickin cute but wtv idc fl and 2ml gave me a headache

was getting ragebaited so hard by this drama had to drop

update after watching ep 11&12: couple scenes were cringe, fl is still so frickin dumb until the last ep. i genuinely thought she would improve. i had hope. but im actually so pissed off like everything bad that happened to wooju was because of her like is she rtarded omg and how did the ml only crash out on her ONCE if i was him id take the kid and leave like since the first time. like literally why was the door even open who in their right mind would not close the door when you have a toddler around omg just thinking about this is giving me a headache. i actually hate this drama sm.

initially, before finishing the last two eps, i was gonna give it a 3/10 but im changing it to a 2/10. 1 pt for wooju and 1 pt for me actually finishing it loll (cuz despite how much it the fl pmo, i still actually sat down to finish it LOL)

i actually hate the fl. i haven't hated a character this much in so long. im like seething just thinking about her.

notes: watched properly until ep4 but ff through the whole eps for 5-12

Great start - But going downline

I have seen all the 9 episodes. It started well for 4-5 episodes. But the track is going very bad.
First FL character is very poorly written. Both ML and SML should have not confessed to her so early. Even after that she did not maintain a distance between any of them or made them clear.. She often says ML as family even after he confessed his love. Does she know the meaning of it... It portrays her as two timer and very calculative... Consecutive scenes shows that she is falling for both of ML and SML.... She has been portrayed as very dumb and careless. I dont think the present women are very childish. Come On...
ML has been shown as very hopeless lover. Trying to find fault himself in every matter which is fair enough, initially he has been shown as very brave but the further incidents made him to victimise himself. He takes care of the kid very well and his career, The decision which he takes at epi - 9 is also justifiable. His character is well written till now.
I dont find any fault in SML since he is very clear. He liked her from the beginning , so he tries all his ways to get acquainted with her.. And the hero of the series- kid is very cute..
ML and the Kid are the reasons to watch this show.. It would be good if the FL stops admiring both and find her true love and come back to him... Not the other way round as he running to her...Till then let her stop saying him as Family.. It looks so pathetic and does nt make sense..
Drama lost its potential due the FL's extremely poor character arc... Rest all is fine...

Big expectation, but...

Baby is so cute, and he has very sad story. I had a very big expectation. The story should be good, baby is cute. His uncle and aunte will grow up together and they will be a family. But.....
*
*
*
Please don't think I don't like FL actor. When I watched 18 again, Our Beloved Summer, I thought she has a potential to be good actress. But in this drama, I don't feel any feeling about her niece's love. Actually she doesn't have screen time with baby like ML. In the beginning she just wave to baby just in front of the door. We didn't see anything about she take care of the baby. Mayde director made mistakes, or writer didn't write this kind of scenes. But we need this. Also, she says niece is very important but she always stays very late at work. I don't know but when a baby waits for you, your first place will be baby. In the beginnig she knows uncle will just stay one month. How she thinks to continue work when uncle left the home. Baby will stay kindergarden more than 10 hours ?? She has to say to her boss, I have to take care of my niece. No plan for baby. Just live a day. Because of that I didn't feel emotion.
*
She just uses the ML badly. She didn't reject him but not accept also. I know I watched 6 episodes but until this part she didn't talk about the ML’s feeling. Maybe she said about things after 6 episodes my bad sorry . But when I watched I didn't she. If she said, just said I need to focus on baby and job, it will be okay. But no she didn't and gives order to ML about the baby. she knows his feeling but she is very happy to SML came to house. She should know seeing this will be hurt him (ML) but nooo ''Sunbae uuu you are here'' -_-. emotional locked
*
And also the story feels like just a few of people live in Seoul. His sunbae is her boss now. Okay coincidence, it is be okay because it’s a Korean drama but also landlord. give her space bro. Seoul is your backyard seoul is a village? How they live in his house and because of that he thinks he can came the house when he wants. They have work a big Company, food company and decided to work with a famous photographer. Amy Lee? (i don’t remember the name) doesn’t look like a photographer who take the ramens or other foods. She is cool she has very high standards but takes biscuits photos -_-
*
I know she is little bit skinny, this is her choice. I don't want to talk about her body. But look like she can't carry baby because she doesn't have strength. YEs in the beginning they wants to show us, a someone counldn't take care baby, because she wasn't parent. This is story and normal. But when she carried baby anf his bags or other thing I thought she will collaps anytime. After the uncle came she didn't carry anything because production team also realized that I think.
*
Bae In Hyuk will be good uncle. In the beginning he was also very childish and annoying. But he grow up. Also I saw real moment him with baby on the social media. I smiled. They are cute. Screen time is also good. He takes care of baby, we saw his problem and emotion with baby .... It's little bit unfair for FL.
Soo... the biggest problem for me in this drama FL's . I dropped and will watch uncle and niece moments on social media.

DON’T WATCH!!!

The second lead actually has more screen time than the male lead and the baby. The love triangle is so unnecessary, and the storyline has already drifted far from the title. The series should have focused on how they take care of the baby even though they’re not close and don’t know how to raise one yet.

I thought the show would portray their struggles until they eventually become a real family, but instead it became mostly about the female lead’s love story.
The writing for this series is NOT GOOD!!!
