As for "Spiral" by Reini, that's already on the list. The cover art for that song should be a dark blue. I know I added it because it was one of my top favorite songs last month, lol.  I added all the songs you mentioned to the playlist just now. :) 

I truly love the banner you made! Would you be able to design a cover for the Spotify playlist? I'm struggling to find four couples whose cover art colors coordinate well for the overall playlist cover. If you could assist me, I would greatly appreciate it. Also, if you want to include the phrase 'roll reversal' on the cover, feel free to do so, or you can simply use 'RR' along with some beautiful couple photos on it, haha.

Any specifications? 

Could you arrange four boxes, one labeled with 'RR'? Then, you could select one drama from each country: Japan, Korea, and China.  I'm not sure what the required dimensions for Spotify cover art are, but I assume that if you select the logo template on Canva, the dimensions of a full white page should suffice. I'm just making an educated guess here. What I do know is that if the height exceeds a certain limit, it will prompt me to crop, and then all of your amazing work will be lost. I believe the purple color scheme you've chosen for your image above is quite appealing. Perhaps we could use that color scheme as it would complement our club's photo, if you catch my drift. Hope!

It's why I really like the screenwriter Kwon Do Eun. Both of the K-dramas she's written are romance at their core, but the female characters consistently pass the Bechdel test, and they have other important concerns. Neither drama is RR, but there are...undertones >:3

Imagine if Yuanyuan and Su Mu met in the brothel instead, and they first started out as patron x entertainer... Could be either by her own accord or per FL's persuasion to go out more. I think this would've made a LOT more sense for them and also added extra steam ;)

It's giving Pretty Woman (the movie), but RR. And it's a much better storyline than the one we got!

that disgusting POS mother probably gaslit and manipulated yuanyuan into being extra depressed and have low self-esteem so that she wouldn't easily get married, have her own kids, and then compete for the throne because that POS always wanted to give the throne to FL.

I should've come up with my own head cannon too, so the drama didn't raise my blood pressure smh.

He was PERFECT. A character like him deserves to be in a better drama.

Sooooo I rated that drama a 5 😬 I wouldn't recommend that to anyone tbh, but I do seem to be in the overwhelming minority here, so I clearly missed the memo TOT Now that you mention that they're by the same screenwriter, it makes so much sense... Tho both are adapted from novels, so idk anymore...

But then this same screenwriter has TWO more RR dramas under her belt? I don't get it? Maybe she was heavily censored? Kinda bummed that her most popular work is traditional slop :/ and her second most popular is pretty much also traditional slop, but a little to the left, lol

GIRL NO WAY 😭 You're telling me Prisoner of Beauty is lowkey traditional too? It's not even egalitarian? Then why's everyone acting like it is??? (I've already mentally answered my own question, but this is such a bummer!!!! I was looking forward to watching it since people always rave about the FL.)

The screenwriter has two more RR dramas? Which ones are they? Maybe she should give RR a rest since she keeps writing traditional stuff anyway. Sorry not sorry.

Finished it yesterday, but was too tired to post about it. I took notes as I watched but lost part of them, and there's so much caps, I'll spare y'all the lengthy eyesore (and instead give ya another lengthy eyesore) xD 

Finally, some genuinely good toxic CEO FL rep! Like her possessiveness was next level! She did not let that man escape her, not even once! Loved that she was super jealous and glaring daggers at anyone who dared look his way. But also her more subtle form of dominance, like declaring he would not drink alcohol because he was allergic, and giving him juice instead. So good. 

And oh my god... the kisses. The forceful, dominant kisses. WOW.... yeah, those imma be rewatching for SURE. She's so aggressive, omg! Like, the car scene? How she pulls him in, manipulates him into staying there, forcefully kisses him multiple times, GRABS HIS NECK 🥵, and tries getting them caught by his girlfriend? AUGH 🔥 🔥 🔥 I can just hear the "well, if he's your boyfriend, why did he wander helplessly into my car?" Lowkey I hate love triangles, but I would eat up a drama where two fierce, domineering CEOs duke it out over a pretty boy.

And the pool scene was next level. She really likes bending him over, huh? Never thought noncon pool playing could be so sexy. She really showed off that jealousy in this scene, like sheesh girl. And how she casually says that "no one is gonna tell" and that "it doesn't matter if you have a girlfriend". The POWER

Also, yeah, that tie-up scene. LOVE. I also love how she seems to be attached to his shoulder. Cuz that's where her love mark is, but why is it giving omegaverse, lmfao. Insanely hot 🥵 Just wondering how he managed to remove the restraints. She seemed to have tied him up pretty good. Guess he really just is a slippery little sucker (literally). Also, just me or did it feel like they kinda forgot about his shoulder scar about halfway through the show? I was hoping to see her nibbling on his shoulder some more :(

Couldn't help but notice that for someone who claims to dislike FL so much, ML sure goes to her all the time. He answers every call and trusts her with his life, yet talks mad shit about and to her (okay, but the scene where she starts kissing him every time he throws shade? THE POWER- So hot). I know this is probably like his subconscious working against him, but I still think it's funny. On the note of the amnesia arc, I really didn't mind it in this drama, I just wish they would've done it a bit better. I liked how they showed that his mind rejects her, but his body craves her (and not just in a sexual way but in a comfort kinda way), but it feels like they didn't really max out on this past him lingering too long in kisses before pushing her away. I think we were robbed of more layered angst. And it was just wrapped in a very underwhelming kinda way. They just crammed in the conclusion in the last couple of minutes, bruhhhh. 

Also, the change in attitude from ML after breaking it off with his girlfriend threw me off. Like, he was SO devoted, wanting to marry her and dodging FL right and left, then he abruptly breaks up with her and falls head over heels with FL in days? Idk, chief, it's lowkey painting him in poor light, ngl. The whole thing was not it, tbh. I think this is probably the issue people had with the fact that "ML took too long to fall in love", 'cause basically, he was in love with SFL until he then suddenly wasn't. It also didn't help that for the most part, his GF was pretty chill, which just makes it seem more like cheating and homewrecking than finding the "true love". I was waiting for the plot twist that his GF was actually quite evil, but it never came. I was totally expecting her to be with other men and to probably even have manipulated him into being in a relationship with her, but it seemed like, other than not correcting him when he assumed they were childhood sweethearts, she didn't do anything of the sort. 

Also, FL letting herself get hurt so she can demand affection from him was 10/10.

Mandatory comment: That brief mdom scene was -10/10. WHY WAS THAT THERE?!?! Thankfully, it was very brief, but I still skipped it. It was so out-of-character for both of them, too.

Also, why did ML's sister have a thing for him? O...O

I typically watch verticals on YT where the audio is busted, and wow is this a different experience to watch with audio.... Like, I noticed I'm way more invested, even if it's cringy over-the-top music than otherwise. The magic of audio, amright? (It's hysterical to hear K-thriller OSTs in this random mini tho, I'm laughing my butt off xD Flower of Evil OST, what are you doing here?!)

So anyway, a solid watch, tbh. Idk what's with the reviews.

Wasn't she crazy in the best way?! She's honestly the best CEO FL I've ever seen in a RR. I was kind of in love with her myself. She was so fine, and I was shocked at how toxic and dominant they let her be while still giving her a happy ending.  We are healing as a people  🥹

Giving him juice was adorable. It's the little things for sure :3

OHMYGOD!!! CAN WE TALK ABOUT THAT SCENE FOR A SECOND? It, and the non-con pool scene were my favorite for a reason.

First of all, I gasped when she grabbed his neck and pulled him into that kiss. Then I SCREAMED when she rolled the window down AND BASICALLY GLOATED ABOUT RAVISHING HOME GIRL'S MAN RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER FACE. The FL's AUDACITY is one of my favorite things about this drama. I've never seen a woman have so much of it on screen before. But the way the ML kept squirming and sliding down in the seat so his girlfriend wouldn't see him was DELICIOUS. And when the FL tossed part of his tie out the window to further taunt him and his girlfriend? Kudos to whoever wrote the script. It wasn't perfect, but they're still my hero because they delivered so many things we've never gotten before.

She sure does >:3 She bent him over every chance she got. I, too, never thought a game of pool could be so sexy. FL was such a boss in that scene. I love how she scared the other lady who was flirting with him off, and the way she threw off her coat before beginning the game??? I almost drooled, so idk how he didn't.

I love how she kept marking him too. It was definitely giving competent alpha CEO x plucky omega reporter who's just trying to make it in the world. Hey.....there's an idea! I was hoping the story would do more with the mark on his shoulder too :-/ There were a few interesting little things the drama neglected as it went on.

There were a few interesting things that were neglected, but a few interesting things that were added as well. Not only did we get forced kisses, I love that the drama didn't shy away from kisses in general. All the kisses were real and firmly on the lips. No dead fishes here.

On the note of the amnesia arc, I really didn't mind it in this drama, I just wish they would've done it a bit better. I usually hate amnesia heavy plots, but I also think it worked well here. 

But yeah, when I said there were things I wish the drama had started resolving the minute we hit the last quarter, the ML slowly regaining his memories is what I was talking about. I wish he started having more dreams about their past, then slowly started realizing the dreams were memories until it culminated in a big reveal at the end. It would've given him and the FL's current relationship a more natural progression, and we would've gotten the layered angst. The way they crammed it in at the very end was disappointing. 

I would've also liked to see the ML confront the SFL about their whole relationship essentially being built under false pretense. I think the drama kind of minimized the magnitude of that. I mean, like yeah she'd mention it once or twice after a particularly jarring dream, but it was always in an off-handed way. She really needed to drive home the point that they didn't go to school today, and to be fair, he really needed to accept it. 

This is what I meant by the decent writing unraveling toward the end.

Yeah, I realized that the farther I watched. I think his shift in attitude would've felt more gradual if they'd peppered in more dreams, and a slow realization that FL might be someone from his past.

You see what I mean by thinking we escaped it?! They literally shoe-horned it in during the last minute, and it was soooo out-of-character! Why do RRs think the audience wants to see at least one traditional scene?? I like my egalitarian relationships every once in a while, but when I'm watching RR, I want it to be RR. If I wanted to see a more traditional dynamic, there are a million other dramas I could watch. I wouldn't seek out a RR.

I thought they were step/adopted siblings, so when she said "blood related" I almost spit out my drink. I will never understand the incest trope some dramas and so many anime pepper in—even as a joke.

Oh, girl...I never watch verticals without the full audio. I can't live that life. I don't know how other people do it. So for that reason, I never watch them on Youtube. I usually find them with full audio on Dailymotion, Reelxia, or another app. It's more work, but it's worth it.

That always kills me lol. Verticals looooove their K-drama OSTs. Particularly the While You Were Sleeping soundtrack for some reason. I've lost track of how many times I've heard "Lucid Dream" by Monogram in a vertical. I kid you not, I've heard it in almost every single one. It must be whoever handles the music for vertical's favorite song.

Glad you enjoyed! It was definitely one of the better RRs I've seen, and probably the best modern day one. The reviews totally don't add up, which is why I usually ignore them on MDL.
