Okay, so wow, that was some scrumptious 10/10 RR for the secondary couple! Like, I don't really have many gripes, tbh...? Like, usually there's at least one scene that I sigh and roll my eyes at, but this one was pretty fucking awesome throughout!
I loved the attention to detail when it came to the role reversal. SML and FL are very similar in personality, and I loved that they didn't shy away from letting them actually act similarly (like SML wanting to be pampered by SFL in the same way FL was pampered by ML). In no moment did he wanna be "THE MAN" and "DOMINATE" her, he actually just wanted to be her babygirl princess, and I LOVE THAT IN A MAN OHMYGOD!!!! No bait and switch!!!
Like he wants to be the trophy husband soooo bad. The whole taking care of her while she's at work, then telling her that he'll wait for her at the hotel (concubine behavior), the whole "you have to take responsibility for me" thing he said to SFL in the beginning! And don't even get me started on the way bro faints onto FL's lap but conveniently puts his arms on her shoulder so she can easily carry him back. AND IT WORKS!!! The diva!
Like she really does carry him twice, and I think these are HANDS DOWN my favorite SFL carrying SML scenes I've ever seen! Actually looks like the actress did that, feels so natural! Bro,, the scene where she tells him to jump down and she'll catch him and he actually does, and she actually catches him like a princess was hysterical and I'm OBSESSED!!!
Of course, the steamy scenes... Like... WOW- The window scene will be living rent-free in my mind for a long time because only Love and Leashes got that close O-O The way she pinned him down, his back against her chest and her hands holding his down- Wow... just wow... But I also gotta appreciate the way he's ALWAYS in her arms when they're in bed. Every. Single. Time. He's just SUCH a princess! I can't tell you how much I ADORED this, because it's so rare for a ML to act this way!
But also the chivalry scenes? Like she really does carry him twice, and I think these are HANDS DOWN my favorite FL carrying ML scenes I've ever seen! Actually looks like the actress did that, feels so natural!
Also, can we talk about the scene where he gets all dolled up to impress FL in his concert, then has RUNNING MASCARA from all the crying he did when she didn't show up?! And him just sitting out in the cold crying, so she shows up all cool with the umbrella, and DEADASS tells him "don't cry... you'll ruin your pretty makeup" I AM SCREEEEAMIIIINNNG. He's so dramatic, and she loves that about him, pls. (Also, her cancelling all her meetings for the night 'cause and I quote, "a stubborn puppy is waiting for me" AAAAAA)
And the scene where SML goes to cheer SFL up,, and he's in the fluffy bear suit? Reminded me a LOT of that one scene in Begin Again! Also did the suit kinda... get her excited or what? XD 'cause she was AGGRESSIVE. The way she grabbed him by the neck and just PULLED HIM UP INTO A KISS WAS NEXT LEVEL OHMYGOD!!!
And don't even get me started on the club scene... Like FL really is a menace 'cause she brings SFL to the strip/host club and SFL is lowkey uncomf while she's having the time of her life!!! And then the husbands showing up, and I was fully expecting SML to have his dom moment then, but NO!!!! He actually replaces the entertainers and tries seducing her, and it WORKS!! "Anything they can do... I can do too"- yes bbg, yes you can! We love to see a boyboss win! I loved this scene sm. The reversal of finding your husband at the brothel!
I also really appreciate how SML takes every chance he can to be a babygirl princess to SFL. Putting his head on her shoulder, holding her arm~ He lucked out with a dom wife and was NOT gonna let that opportunity go to waste!
And last but certainly not least... SML jumping into SFL's arms in the very final scene. 10/10. Perfect conclusion.
Also, the lead couple. Quite traditional in most ways but also... oddly a bit not? ML for one was very babygirl and... docile in a way. And though FL was quite the brat uwu kind, she kinda acted a bit like a thug xD Also, the scene @potato mentioned, which was *chefs kiss*. The daddy dom having his own tricks used against him was great, and the way the camera lingered on his face and the noises he made... mmm very nice.
Honourable and dishonorable mentions to:
- The not-gay wedding in the beginning! (characters literally say that it looks like the FLs are marrying each other and WHERE'S the LIE!?)
- FL's reason for marrying ML being: Nice face, cute butt.
- SFL walking in with her brand new
boytoyhusband, all badass and cool, while ML and FL are sitting there awkward asf. - SML to SFL: "The men in our family are really traditional, so... YOU MUST TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ME" SENT MEEEEEE- I WAS HOWLING BRO
- The kitten sound effects used for both FL AND SML!
- FL being an absolute unhinged menace
- The younger siblings-in-law conspiring against their spouses by exchanging secrets (ML did his bro SO dirty!!! "he caves when people act cute" he says. Bro learned that from experience T-T His didi been laying the ground work for FL to floor this man.
- A moment of silence for ML having to gentle parent his wife... That shit sucks, bro, but very role reversal at least 💀
- FL's wearing microskirts in the middle of winter while it's literally snowing outside, and both MLs are wearing at least two jackets.
- The brotherhood between ML and SML and the sisterhood between FL and SFL.
Overall, the story was okay. It was interesting, and I liked the dynamics between everyone, but it was sadly still lacking plot-wise. Kinda wish it could've been a regular SLS instead, maybe then it could've fleshed out the non-romantic dynamics and plot a bit more.

I'm truly flabbergasted. The RR was perfect! I kept waiting for the SML to have his big "i am man hear me rawrrr" moment, but it never came. He loved his stoic CEO wife, and wanted princess treatment all the way through. I feel like this is a big win for RR content, but my heart aches because a lot of RR-lovers are going to miss it. Heck, I almost did.

Proof that the steamy scenes weren't the only thing the drama did well. I thought this was soooo cute! I loved how much effort he was putting in to look pretty for her and surprise her with a whole birthday concert, and how everything was eventually resolved. I was expecting the ML to be this intense "alpha" CEO, but bro was down to switch in the bedroom, and by the end he was walking around in frilly aprons cooking for FL. It was such a pleasantly unexpected surprise!

YES! She was very annoying, especially at first, but she honestly ended up growing on me! She was childish, but smart and didn't back down when her family members were trying to bully her. She was straight up snacking at that funeral, and threw stuff at that one family elder when he suggested taking the family head title from her sister. She was refreshingly tough when the situation called for it.

I was giggling when they got together to trade secrets about their spouses. Ah, a meeting of bottoms. I always like seeing male and female bottoms interact because it's similar energy in a wildly different package. I find it interesting.

It was funny to see the contrast, but if you look closely the FLs are wearing fleece-lined stockings that just look like skin. I actually have a pair I ordered from Shein, and people think I'm running around in the cold without pants too hahaha. You can tell because no one's legs are that matte or 2-dimensional-looking. There's no light reflecting off their legs or lines and creases when they walk. I think there was only one scene where one of the FLs (I forgot who) wasn't wearing the stockings.
I liked the dynamics between everyone, but it was sadly still lacking plot-wise.
The plot was virtually non-existent, but I had so much fun with the characters and their relationships, I didn't mind! Which is rare! Usually when there are multiple couples in a vertical, I only care about one, but I ended up liking and rooting for both couples. I even stopped fast-forwarding the traditional couple toward the middle. The brotherhood and sisterhood were done well, and full-length dramas could actually take notes about how this vertical approached the relationship between sisters. The older sister was the protector, but when it came down to it, the younger sister tried to protect her too (esp at the end). They talked, texted, and hung out regularly without their husbands, and there was no weird competition between them. It was wonderful.
I also liked how the four of them basically became a little family 🥺 Their support and love for one another was demonstrated during the funeral when ML and SML both jumped in to protect SFL's position as the Su family head, then later when they all stood against the boys' father. I love the found family trope, and this gave me a little bit of that. Overall, the drama was pure fluff, and somewhat slice-of-life-y with amazing RR elements.
Ooh, it would've made an adorable mini drama. The characters' shenanigans would've been even more fun with more time. And the screenwriter could expand on many things. But at least we got a decent vertical. This was such a pleasant surprise, and I'm glad we could chat about it. The end of 2025 into 2026 is giving us so many RR gems. And some in the most unexpected places.
You know what's making me shake my head though? Hong Luan Yin. How could I find a random, not well-known drama like The Wedding Mix-Up with the original audio, perfect subs, and decent quality, but not Hong Luan Yin?? The ironyyyy! I thought I might be able to find it on the same site The Wedding Mix-Up is on, but NOPE. Which is crazy because the site literally has every other conceivable vertical!! I found other verticals on there I've been looking for for months, but not Hong Luan Yin. How is that possible??? It truly is the one that got away. It's one of the few dramas I haven't been able to track down. Oh well, I've already resigned myself to watching it on YouTube. Just wanted to let someone know I looked through eighty pages of dramas on that site and still came up short.
