The sis envies him but I don't get why ..like u were the one who was born out of the wedlock.. and ofc she is…
You've answered your own question. She has inferiority complex and has to prove to her father and everybody else she's superior and a worthier heir than ML.
Yea, definitely getting better. That last episode's ending, lol. Just gotta resign that it's fate, come clear and confess already. And props for ML for not wanting to sit on both chairs and getting stuck in the middle, but he has managed to dig a hole for himself anyway, lmao.
That writer/director-nim character is pretty funny, btw.
I feel like with every new episode this plot is getting better. This drama has a very messy start, but now that everything is established and the main couple have started getting to know each other irl and anonymously through the Onion, it's actually a nice watch. The only thing that wastes screentime atm is the secondary couple. I don't care about them, they're not interesting to watch. I've seen another drama with a very similar situation to theirs and actors there really got into their roles, here I'm not feeling the effort. The main couple are nice though, I like both actors' performance and their characters.
Why are people fighting over whether ML is a red flag or not, lol? Besides the common power discrepancy trope between ML and FL in dramas such as these, what did you expect? He fell for FL real hard, but she left him without explaining anything and then it turned out that she lied to him big time. Who wouldn't go on a power trip to make her pay for hurt feelings? The only ones who wouldn't are those without means. ML's got the means, though, so he's using them. And he could have used them real hard and fired her or done something nastier. But he didn't. Yea, he made her work overtime one time and threw a report in the pool, that's about it. I'd say it's a pretty mild punishment. And now that he's got the chance to learn more about her situation, I'm sure he won't do anything else, he's too soft on FL. Also, he doesn't care about what's going on at work, because he was forced into that position. But in the last episode FL has motivated him to start caring, because she's there and needs his help to succeed at her job.
If anyone's a red flag here, it's FL. She's been lying non-stop since the beginning. Yea, she's got big money problems, but stacking lies upon lies will eventually bite her in the ass big time. She keeps torturing ML with her lies and pretends to be oblivious to his feelings. She's probably gonna get fired anyway when the truth will be revealed, and not by ML but by his sister or father. Moreover, that'll likely hurt SML and his kid, whom she also got involved in this. It's like that meme song: "Stop fkn lying!".
Personally, I don't understand the debate over this. It's just like those countless other dramas about a boss and a secretary, where a nasty (but actually very nice, with a tragic backstory) boss be trippin' and a (poor, but spunky) secretary be sufferin', and then she be makin' a fluffy bunny out of a boss. It's one of the most common tropes out there. If you don't like it, don't watch it. But don't be saying that it doesn't work, because this trope is also one of the most popular ones. Most people don’t care about timid green flags, because they’re just plain boring to watch.
What do you think ML's friend's from jail crime was? He got in jail before there were cell phones. Must have been some crime. Also makes one wonder how old is his daughter.
Don't forget flagship mobile phones as well. Even poor cleaning ladies gotta have it.
I recall there literally was a drama where a cleaning lady had a top Samsung, all the while being up to her eyeballs in debts. 🤣 But I see the battle for commercial rights has intensified lately - lots of iPhones in kdramas.
But neither know that their friends know each other. Seon u doesn’t know the relationship between her and ji…
2ML is going to work with FL's team according to the teaser, with 2FL visitng. It's gonna be real hard to keep on lying. But we'll see how far it's gonna go. My bet ML will know around episode 8.
I knew it, innocent kids are always blowing up the lies, lol. 2FL now knows that 2ML doesn't have a wife. I wonder what they'll lie about next to cover this up, that FL is not the kid's real mom or smth and the kid just misspoke? And then there's FL's mother who is out of the loop. I doubt FL would ask her to lie about this.
Is it hurt pride or has ML really fell so hard for FL? I'm kinda leaning towards the latter, lol, sexual tension is palpable. Actors are doing a great job.
I haven't finished Ep. 6 yet, but it's clear this drama is going to follow the same trajectory as prior films…
I've written what I think about it below already. They don't really know each other yet, that one has only just begun in the Onion chat, even though they don't know each other's real identities there. So all liking is superficial and on the surface so far.
She likes his looks and cool heroic detective persona from his role, she also likes him donning that role on occasion irl. And it seems like all her previous bfs hit on her first, while she wasn't particularly interested in them. She's also very nerdy about her profession, so it quickly turned off all of her bfs. But this time she liked ML first, so that's why she said what she said at the Onion deal encounter.
He likes her looks and her credentials of being a serious pro journalist. He's a drama queen though, so it's hard to gauge whether he'll be off put by her nerding about her profession, because right now he's being off put by her paparazzi stunts and unlucky encounters with him. Luckily in the last episode she's had enough and decided to quit that job.
I'm glad FL decided to call it quits, that job is trash. You either gonna degrade your self-esteem because of being seen as a trash person, or you really will become a trash person. She gotta get back to serious journalism.
Yea, probably something happened akin to dumb noble sacrifice. Doesn't mean SML should forgive her, he didn't ask for this and she could have explained it to him instead dumping and hurting him. Seen a plot just like this in another drama, ML there got bitter about women and people in general because of that.
