crazy speculation but remember how SeMi told SanYoung that her apartment was haunted...what if SY dies in the finale and remains as a ghost following SeMi, keeping her company. Like Ujin did with HaeSang.
That's one of the biggest disappointments of the drama for me. I was so excited with HyeJi's casting too. For…
That could work too but it would be better imo if HongSae was friends w/ SanYoung as well instead of just kowing her from afar. Unless there would be a bit of a "triangle" in which SeMi wants to trust SY but HS insists she's guilty.
Whatever the case, Semi could've/should've had a bigger role.

drama could've used Semi more in the story. hope to see her in final two
That's one of the biggest disappointments of the drama for me. I was so excited with HyeJi's casting too. For all the screentime SY's friendship ring gets I could've sworn there would've been an important subplot with Semi but no. The most we got was boy "drama" 🙄 KEH could've definitely done more there with the bff dynamic.
Imagine if the detective main role had been Semi instead of HongSae (nothing against Hong Kyung, he's great but the character is lacking imo). SY and Semi at odds because SY is involved in these murders and Semi having to deal with the potential that her best friend since childhood is the murderer and then realizing not only is she not but she's possessed by a demon, etc. The trio dynamic would have been much more compelling too imo. On one hand SY and HaeSang who are only just meeting but uknowingly have a history that connects them and is helping them grow a friendship, on the other SY and Semi who have an already strong established history but their friendship is being tested by this ghost that is ruining SY's life.
For the acting yes! It’s the type of drama where the acting elevates the script. The story would be great for…
This is completely plot driven story imo. Every discovery leads the characters to the next discovery, and to the next and along the way there's character development. Whereas a character driven drama would be moved by important personal character decisions, these decisions not only develop the character but also the story.
The evil spirit is a character but it's not the one moving the plot. The plot is developing by the need to get rid of it. This objective is the main plot.
Honestly I’m still not sure whether her blindness is genetics or from the ghost latching onto her? Her dad was…
The whole blindness thing being "cured" by the ghost makes no sense to me. How can the evil spirit cure an illness? And even if it can that doesn't help SY since she can't remember anything when the ghost is in control of her body. When it's not possessing her she is still losing her sight. Does SY have to fully accept the ghost for it to cure her or what?
You probably don’t understand the story well.. there has not been any filler episode so far.. even tho the story…
you missed the part I said it could be accomplished in a different way. Plot devices aren't always integral to a story.
Another plot I consider somewhat filler is the whole hungry ghost stuff. It was interesting but, unless I missed something, I have yet to see it's relevance to the story.
No one's talking about his grandmother why she wanted to protect evil spirit why ??? Why she'll die when evil…
The grandma is protecting the spirit because she wanted it to continue giving her wealth. Then she made a deal with it so that no one would ever know it's name. I don't know how literal the "I live, you live" aspect could be.
I think it might have something to do with the original ritual and the evil spirit. The second born died first…
that's actually a good theory. That it takes a second-born child just out of spite. It could also all just be speculation from our leads because nobody knows the evil spirits' true intentions or motivations.
I hope everything is clarified and we're not left with either big questions or inconsistencies.
Could it be a trap? In the trailer for ep11 we hear a Shaman saying "Ghosts are adept at deceit. They often turn out to be traps." Could the insurance claim on SY's mom be something the Akwi did to mislead them somehow? I don't want SY to lose her mom.
Also, HaeSang now said that killing the person the host cherishes the most is the price paid for the ghost getting them wealth but with Gangmo it killed his secondborn. So are we to believe he cherished his unborn child more than SY?
This is the price to pay for having the evil spirit's power, but Sanyeong didn't know this.
HaeSang's younger brother died, presumably killed. Then Gangmo already had the evil spirit and it killed his secondborn. But also, just killing a secondborn doesn’t create an evil spirit, the kid has to be tortured/starved. I have to rewatch ep 10.
I'm setting myself up for disappointment I just know it lol
That would be so tragic.
edit: no, I remember now the actor playing the older detective used to be listed after SY's mom. Hmm
Whatever the case, Semi could've/should've had a bigger role.

The writer hasn't made this very clear.
