I think it is because of the demon. Perhaps the longer it takes over her the less she remembers.

I assumed the blurry vision was like vertigo but yeah, it could have been foreshadow.

I don’t think she's forgetting things. The moments she struggles to remember are just because she blacked out when the evil spirit takes over her, then she starts to remember things little by little or just remembers the gist. I don’t think her reaction to Semi saying she was seducing HongSae was lack of memory but more whiplash from the random jump in conversation and incredulous because she absolutely wasn't lol. It looked like that from an outaide perspective and done so to create this little drama with Semi.

There's one part where he sees himself when he opens the door though. Unless it was just his guilty subconscious.

First time Haesang sees the ghost attached to SY is when it has just latched onto her, leaving her dad's home. The second time he sees it is after the scammer has been killed and HS does notice it grew.

When was it implied in ep1?
And forgetting things?

Maybe he never expected to have a second child and when he did and ended up killing it he had major regrets.

I'm hoping he'll just be hurt but not dead.
If that girl that was hit by a car and tossed like 10 feet into the air can survive he should be able to survive too since HongSae is there (unless he's knocked out).

I was kind of struggling to feel invested too. Ep 7 is what hooked me in because all the pieces are starting tp fall into place.
I think a lot of crazy things are gonna start happening. There's only 4 episodes left.

I know why she'd want the ghost. My point was that it felt too early to have her admiting it imo.

Semi hasn’t forbidden anything. She just asked SY to tell her if she did like him. They were bickering like any close friends would. Imo Semi doesn’t actually care about him or, like you said, she'd be going after him. SY mentioned she's claimed over 18 "first" loves.
She also doesn't need to stake claim since SY obviously doesn't have feelings for him.

I actually didn’t see anything other than friendship between SY and Semi prior to this episode.
After this I did get strong vibes from SY towards Semi.

KEH plays a lot with unrequited feelings. I think she's mentioned this in past interviews too. Unrequited feelings seems to be a theme in the drama. So far we have Semi and HongSae liking someone that doesn’t notice them, wouldn’t be surprised if SanYoung is feeling the same. All it took to represent & people to believe HongSae had feelings for SY was him staring at her. It's not totally implausible for SY to feel something for her friend imo.

I wouldn’t consider characters quietly having feelings for others as romance.

Interesting theory but I think that'd only work if both twins were killed.

I'm not trying to push a ship but there were odd vibes between them in this episode, especially from SanYoung. I mean if HongSae can have an unrequited crush on SY in the past who's to say SY doesn't have the same thing for her BFF? It's a love triangle made up of unrequited love lol. Semi -> HongSae -> SanYoung -> Semi

That "you're right. I want you" line was oddly placed because 1. it comes right after tucking in Semi and giving her a longing gaze 2. every time she speaks to the evil spirit she looks at her shadow but she didn't in this scene 3. it's been less than a day since she vowed to get rid of the demon 4. everything that follows after does not support the idea of SanYoung wanting the demon. She's afraid and still fighting it. So, was she actually talking about the ghost or...
idk maybe I'm reading too much into that table scene but it felt misleading to me.

If it's not this then how do Semi and their matching "soulmate" rings fit in?

but anyway, their scenes were adorable, and I want more scenes between them. After all, Semi still hasn't forgiven her lol.

Is it me or did the SanYoung and Semi scenes contain a good amount of subtext?

1. Gungmo was going blind and wanted the ghost to cure himself (I almost feel like it'd make more sense if he was going blind because of the ghost since it's "living" off the person like a parasite) but we still don't know how he got his hands on it.

2. Haesang was the one possessed in 1995, not his mom? Or maybe when he held the hair accessory it latched onto him and killed the mom. But then now we need to know how/why he wasn't possessed after that. Has he been lying this whole time? What's going on.

3. With Detective Munchun being killed or almost killed HongSae will either fully think SanYoung is the murderer or believe that's there's a ghost.

4. the biggest reveal being that Mokdan was not a first born means this isn't a juvenile ghost? Perhaps she was an orphan that the family passed off as their second child? She was asking about food which is odd if she belongs to a family.

Okay so, a lot happened and I need to process it.

I have to agree with all.
He feels more like an important support character more than a lead. There may be a moment where it ends up making sense why he's included as a main but he really doesn't do much other than being the skeptic. Maybe at some point he'll finally have the a-ha moment and ultimately help SY and HaeSang bring justice (or get in the way).
But that really could've been the older cop, Detective Munchun, who has been after these mysteries his entire career and it'd be a bigger payoff to see him finally solve the case by helping SY and HaeSang.

HongSae really doesn't add much in terms of plot or even on a character level since neither of the two main leads have an important connection to him.
He kind of feels like the obligatory third main that every drama has but I think any other character would fill the role fine at this point in the story. But it may change later, who knows. KEH builds a slow burn story.

HongSae probably thinking "holy crap I'm so close to my promotion" lol

okay so, we learned that Gangmo tried to blackmail HaeSang's grandmother to get the evil spirit (and he didn't know how to create one) but we still don't know how the hair accessory ends up with him since it disappeared when HS's mom dies.
When he killed his secondborn he was already possessed and it seems like he didn't want to pass the evil spirit on to SanYoung (and likely didn't want to kill his second child).

So how did he end up with the evil spirit?
