And that’s the other thing. I’m all about giving secondary characters some development, but never at the expense of the leads. That scene at the end of 30 with the brother was so… unnecessary. Like why? 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yeah, same. I’m just remembering him taking down a ton of men in the woods WHILE INJURED. Or helping FCY fight the rest of them off. Or his powerful presence in that court scene in Lin’an. Or when in one moment he was taking care of FCY’s injuries before turning around and stabbing her assailant in the shoulder and beating him with his fists. Like… or when he revealed himself through the shadows as the Marquis. Or his first meeting with Qi Min and his chopstick throwing. Or when he foiled their plans with the grain. It really sucks that as soon as he reunited with his army they stopped doing much with his character 😞

He did more while being an injured house husband in Lin’an than when he actually reunited with his army lol 🤦🏼‍♀️

It wasn’t totally clear when the FCY and Princess scene took place. FCY told XZ that she had to leave or she’d never catch up to her Butcher Squad, so I assumed she had left. XZ also said that he had ordered her to be secretly guarded. So people assume that the Princess and FCY scene took place near the beginning of the episode when FCY asked her for help. If that’s the case, though, then the hickey would definitely have been from the night they sparred.

The preview for the next episode has FCY having a flashback of him giving the blades to her the night they said goodbye so yeah 😊

It’s interesting though cause when she had the flashback, yeah we saw them the night they sparred but when she thought of the kiss it really looked like XZ was wearing the fur coat that he wore when they kissed goodbye?? He wasn’t wearing the fur the night they sparred so idk.
