Not bad? LOL. She lied for 25 episodes. After the ML injured himself for the marriage ritual, she lied and said that she was Xian’s betrothed 😂 She even lied about the GMD and decided to steal it literally the night that they had sex for the first time! So I respectfully disagree. 🤷🏼‍♀️

You can always watch it for yourself and see what you think. A lot of people love it, it just isn’t for me. I check back on the page occasionally to see the updates because I got juuuust invested enough to stay curious about it, but not enough to keep watching and push through the irritation I felt at the lying being dragged out.

I dropped at 15 for most of these reasons.

She’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but she grew on me as the story developed and I LOVE her. Everyone else on the show outside of like 1 or 2 people want to either kill SJ or harvest his blood for their own cultivation. A lot of us came to appreciate the FL because she is like the only person on the show who doesn’t expect / want anything from him. Also, she does get character development and toughens up later on.

That was one of my favorite scenes, actually.

Yah judging by the some of shows you’ve seen and rated highly, Fated Hearts is pretty good. There’s a lot going around about Love in the Clouds (not my thing with the lying and deceit). Looks like you’ve seen a lot of shows already 😊

Yeah it was like this weird thing that lasts for a couple episodes and then it’s like it never happened lol.

If you’re bored then just keep it dropped? 🤷🏼‍♀️ “Better” is subjective to the viewer, and if you’re bored with them building the foundation of the couple then just don’t continue.

Makes sense. Yeah I encourage you to give it a try. I loved the FL and she does get good development as the show goes on.

I came to really appreciate the FL in WDBtD. Everyone - and I mean everyone - else on the show want to either kill the ML or use him / his blood for their own power. As someone else said, she’s the only person who didn’t want anything from him. I loved her, she really grew on me 🥰 Both shows have some steamy kisses, WDBtD has more of them (and some in hot springs 🌶️). I would also say that I think WDBtD has more just… intimacy as well. Lots of skinship, face holding, being in each other’s space, open and vulnerable communication ❤️ And there is much more screen time dedicated to the couple on WDBtD.

Wow that’s crazy. I watched it before I joined MDL, so I wasn’t around for the internet drama, which worked out well for me because I probably would have spent too much time arguing with the anti-fans 😂 I can’t grasp how people hated Manman (Or Wei Shao, at least after like episode 13 or so, whatever episode had the birthday celebration and he supported her when she was framed for the seeds). Like were we all watching the same show? 😂I literally don’t understand. She used softness and her intelligence in the beginning to protect her people and do this dance of protecting her people without overly offending WS AAAND winning him over. I mean, she was brilliant in the way she did that dance. And WS in turn growing to respect her because of her cunning, seeing that she truly does care for the people, and learning to soften towards her and trust her… gosh it’s making me want to rewatch it now. I truly do not understand how anyone can watch that relationship and villainize either party or the other. 🤯

Ahhh I see what you’re saying. Makes sense. I never looked at it this way until you mentioned it. I never blamed her for keeping the passageway a secret. I will have to go back and watch it again with these thoughts in mind. I don’t remember the relationship being as one-sided though. I remember a lot of scenarios when he had her back, defended her and worked with her to outsmart the schemers. Hmm. Interesting. And he was petty with the scholar 😂 And he was pretty stellar when her extended family turned on him as well.

Oh yeah absolutely 😂 I was looking through my list of completed shows and yeah. It’s definitely the norm 🤦🏼‍♀️
