Strengthening trust with the future and cutting ties with the past

After this episode, I am starting to think that LeJun actually acted on her own, thinking she was protecting her brother that way. It looked like GT Xie wasn't aware of her plan, which might create some rift within the villain team, I think. πŸ€”I was a little relieved JiaYu actually had done her own investigation and scheming to find out who killed her mother, and along the way, she even managed to connect all the given dots and concluded that WuYi is Crown Prince WenXi. Clap, clap, girl! πŸ‘πŸ˜ŒWuYi's confession of his feelings was nice and took her by surprise, but she's not indifferent. She has feelings too, and she has shown that more times than I can count... even if she doesn't realise it herself or say it out loud. πŸ₯°And now they are stronger than ever. She trusts him way more, and I love it. With WuYi standing next to her, supporting her cause and making sure everyone in the Xie mansion listens to what she has to say to them, to her father... Couple goals! πŸ€—πŸ’ͺNow she has publicly cut ties with the Xie family, denounced her father, and taken her mother's coffin away from them. What an aura they had during that walk through the streets! 🀩

The lengths they are willing to go to get Phoenix Heart Token...

Just wow. GT Xie and Princess PingNing going to such lengths for the token... 😳 Was it the plan of them both, or just LeJun's? Because GT Xie's reaction to JiaYu's mother's death confused me a little... and oh, how it boiled my blood too! 😑 But that leaves me wondering if the reaction was genuine, or if he just pretended in order to have a reason not to have bonds with JiaYu, and thus also WuYi, anymore. πŸ€” In his eyes, she probably has served her purpose and created that rift between the friends...GT Xie gives me the creeps, and I really, really don't like what he's doing with LeJun... 😨 I think she would have been better off with the Eagle King, not with this manipulator and schemer. πŸ˜“β€‹Also, I get why she is doing it, but I am quite upset that Jiayu already suspects WuYi of poisoning the horses. However, WuYi said it right β€” it actually doesn't matter if he's framed or not, but what is important is that JiaYu's mother died because of that. πŸ˜” He cares for her, and he is sad because she is... I really hope they find some evidence soon so JiaYu can finally understand that she can and should trust WuYi. Always. πŸ₯Ί

Strengthening bonds and revealed secrets

Didn't expect the emperor to be against WuYi's and JiaYu's divorce, but here we are... "balance out both friends," he said? We'll see how that balancing goes! πŸ™„ And considering that the secret of WuYi being the Crown Prince WenXi has been revealed to someone on the side, I wonder how long it will take for GT Xia and Li Mao to learn about that... I expect all hell to break loose when that happens! 😬🫣The prison scene was wonderful. They couldn't hide from each other, so they talked, and through talking, they even bonded a little. 😌 I love that they are growing closer. Her moving her sleeping mat to the place he was chained under the pretext that he had terrible injuries, and then putting her hand on his... I saw that smile, WuYi... I did! 😏🫣A great surprise was that Cui Shao'An turned out to be a rebellious son and became an ally to our guys. 😌 However, I didn't expect his sister to die so soonβ€”and what's more, by their own father's sword. That is so twisted! 😯

Perfect transformation and perfect confrontation!

Perfect transformation and perfect confrontation! Sumin's face was priceless...πŸ‘πŸ€ Jiwon has gotten the lucky ticket by finding a friend like Huiyeon. She's an amazing inspiration and support for her! πŸ€—I am also quite confident that Jihyuk might be reincarnated too, because he knew of those events. How otherwise would he have known to get the chef to go there? πŸ€”πŸ€·β€β™€οΈAlso, could Jihyuk be that man Jiwon pushed over when she was drunk? The moment was blurry, but it could be possible, right? And that would mean that he has known her way longer than she ever expected, right? And then coincidentally worked at the same workplace? 🀨

Ride or die ❀️

Lifei conjuring those tree branches was, for me, one of the most epic things in this drama. I absolutely loved that! 🀩And I wouldn't have expected anything less from Xiuyuan than to stay by her side and be her ride-or-die. They have been through so much, and he has always been the one who somehow wasn't enough, yet this time he was... And I am grateful for that. ❀️πŸ₯Ί Also, might I add β€” Riyun and Mr. Yun coming to their aid? Yes, I think there won't be a better scene in this drama than that! πŸ™ŒπŸ€—As for the ten-year time skip... Tongzhou has lost it completely and has become a tyrant of sorts... All I can think of now is β€” did he ask Miaoqing to change her form into Lifei when they did it? 🫣😳 And the other thing β€” GELIN BETTER BE ALIVE! πŸ˜€πŸ™

When madness takes over...

Zhao Huawei did well in this episode showing us Tongzhou's madness taking over him. I think none of the villains looked as evil and crazy as he did β€” not even Qin Yangling, no matter how hard he tried to deliver that evil laugh. πŸ™„I definitely didn't expect Ye Ye and Changyue to perish, and by Tongzhou's hand, for that matter. πŸ˜πŸ’” But Ye Ye's death hit him hard and even drew him deeper into his madness... How many did he absorb this episode? Like 4-5 people? 🀯 And he just can't stop anymore and wants more. INSANE! But he looked totally OP after getting all that power. 🫣😨Thank God Lifei is in safe hands at the moment, and I can't wait for her and Xiuyuan to finally reunite for the final clash... with Tongzhou. 😟 But having their love triangle be a part of that unending cycle they are stuck in... ah! πŸ™„

Not the direction I expected

Not the direction I hoped for them to take, but they're doing it. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ The biggest surprise to me probably was Lifei not questioning the horns, the skills, and everything else Yacha-like on Hu Jiaping. Nor did anyone else, actually... I thought it was a well-guarded secret of Jiaping's and that he had only revealed it to that dying lady. πŸ€¨β€‹Bonus points for Lifei finding out the true colours of Tongzhou, yet Cui Xuan being the caped, white-haired guy was kind of disappointing. I expected it to be someone else β€” someone who might have been using Cui Xian as their pawn all along... πŸ˜’

Reunion, mysterious disease and the Cui family

Jiayu found the red ribbon nicely hidden among Wuyi's stuff, even though he had told her it was lost. Oh, you man! Were you planning to keep it as a keepsake and never give it back? 😏Mao, however, kept all of Wuyi's dancers because one of them looks a lot like Jiayu? And then to say that Jiayu would eventually return to him and stay at the palace? That sounded quite selfish... Oh, Mao... His facial expression alone in that scene, at one point, gave me some villainous vibes. 😟😬And then we got a few months' time skip! I guess it's reasonable, considering Jiayu left Wuyi to travel with her master, and Wuyi returned to the border... But those first events after the time skip for a moment felt like a completely different show β€” a mysterious disease, with people biting each other β€” to be fair, it looked more like rabies than anything else. 🫣 And all the focus went to the Cui family and the introductions of their family members β€” Cui Shaoan and Cui Lingyi (Prince Qi's betrothed) β€” and Cui family's link to the Beifu disease. But I absolutely loved Jiayu and Wuyi's reunion and all the encounters they went through together after that. πŸ₯° Lady Cui turning out to be an ally was a very pleasant surprise, but Mao getting a hold of Prince Jing'an's troops somehow leaves me uneasy... What if he doesn't return the token that controls them and uses them against Wuyi later? πŸ€”

Parting ways

Many things I wished for after the previous episode happened in this one! 🀩Firstly, it turned out to be true that the Eagle King liked Li Lejun. The way he said it to her actually was quite nice and made me wonder β€” maybe he's just like Xiao Wuyi and has a terrible reputation which everyone fears, while actually being a quite caring and good person? πŸ€”πŸ˜And secondly, Jiayu and Mao met alone and talked about their future plans. Thankfully, it ended exactly the way I hoped β€” with Jiayu rejecting his offer to stay in the palace. 😌The sad one in the end was Wuyi, because Jiayu asked for the divorce papers again and was about to leave... 😒 But at least she's not staying with Mao, right? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Poisons, flowers and alliances

Not sure if the celebration scene was before or after the poisoning, but Huayong and his father looked already kind of close. 🀨 So, considering they had such a relationship all along, I don't want to believe the father was behind the poisoning. πŸ™…β€β™€οΈ However, if the target really was meant to be the Crown Prince, then I expect the poisoner was someone who wanted this favoured son gone and another prince to take his place... Also, I forgot if they mentioned how Huayong's mother died, so I wonder if maybe she was the favoured wife and someone got rid of her too? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈHer giving him the Immortal Vine, not knowing who she was giving it to, was a very kind act. And because of that, he just fell even harder, if that's even possible anymore... 😏But Huayong is on a mission to eliminate all the rivals, it seems. The 4th prince is already out of the competition, so that leaves 3 more to go. πŸ˜‚ Could the next one be the 2nd Prince? At least he was theorising about his possible flaws. πŸ€”And I liked that his poem was unusual in some ways β€” not covered with the symbolism of specific flowers to praise certain traits of Xihe, but instead, with his poem, he let her know she has the reins to choose what flower she prefers and he will just be that. Was it a hidden promise of submission? πŸ˜πŸ€·β€β™€οΈAnd the way Xihe finds her allies... 🀭

Finding out truth

I am so glad Xixiao found out what's going on with Wan, and I am even more glad that he actually respected her wish to keep certain things to herself and not talk about them. 😌 He didn't confront her, but I bet he will confront her mother... She is the main reason for her struggles, and he knows that now! 😀Oh, and Grandma... I wanted to hug her for the favour she asked of Xixiao. πŸ«‚ Please, I hope everything will be alright with Grandma and she survives this illness. 😟

Is that called evidence?

The so-called solid evidence was one phoenix feather and the fact that Lu Li is a half-monster... really? And they call that justice? 🀨😀 But I want to give a round of applause to Xiuyuan for finally killing Huo Yunzi! πŸ‘Now I just have to wait until they find out who the other immortals practicing dark arts are... πŸ™„

The difference of their love

The look on Mao's face when Wuyi said it was love at first sight for him and that he didn't know about Mao and Jiayu's relationship before asking for marriage! Oh, Mao's jealousy is there, and the rift between the friends is widening. 😟But to be honest, I am actually starting to question Mao's love for Jiayu. He wants to take her to the palace because that place is more convenient for his ambitions, and he assumes him being there is enough for her happiness... But would it be? She wants to be free, travel the world, and master her crafts, not to be secluded in the palace. Not caring about her dreams won't work in Mao's favour, I think... πŸ™„πŸ€¨Wuyi, however, considers her feelings and dreams the most, willing to give her that freedom to choose what she wants, who she wants to be with, and how she wants to live her life, without really asking for anything in return or making any conditions... The difference between those two men. Wuyi, my heart! πŸ₯Ήβ€οΈAnd I have noticed those micro-hesitations when someone asks her about her future plans with Mao... πŸ€” Could that mean she doesn't want to leave Wuyi that much? I think so. And at the moment, seeing what is happening with Mao, all the good cards are in Wuyi's hands. 😌😏I am not sure how they will deal with the Eagle King and Princess Pingning's political marriage, but so far, it looked like Jiayu was closer to success... but at what price? The technique Wuyi didn't want to give them? 🫣

What was that revelation?

Hu Jiaping revealing he is a Yecha, another Guardian of the Demon Clan, got me all confused! So are there two Yechas, or is Yecha a title, not a name? 🀨🀯Tongzhou looking jealous and frustrated about Lifei still not choosing him after all he had done for her β€” and after all Xiuyuan had done to everyone, her included. He would expect her to turn her back on him, but he still thinks of Xiuyuan as his rival. And I believe he is, yet this time Lifei made the choice for herself, not for either of them. I believe this would be the point where Tongzhou finally ends up doing something villainous. 🫣Also, we still have that white-haired man in the hooded cape who went somewhere with that one immortal and, if I remember correctly, we also saw that caped guy sometime in the beginning. Who is he? I can count just a few white-haired characters... not Riyan, right? πŸ€”

Everyone still wants some Divine Tree power...

They got me all confused with how they dealt with the demons. At first, I was quite relieved to see Xiuyuan was able to snap out of Yacha-mode, but then Lifei killed him... She cried a lot, and I even saw him disintegrate... Didn't he? But then some scenes later, he wasn't dead after all. πŸ«£πŸ˜–But funny enough, the saddest part for me in this episode was Zhaomin's death, because I kind of rooted for her and Deng, but well... now it is what it is. πŸ˜’πŸ’” And I must admit, Master Chongyi cries well. πŸ˜πŸ‘But Tongzhou, Tongzhou... I have been balancing all the time between whether to trust him or not, and the drama comes to an end very soon and I still can't figure out what his role in all this actually is. πŸ€” I hoped he wouldn't try to leech Lifei's powers anymore, but greed is greed, I guess... I don't really trust his words that it is to protect her. Maybe he thinks so, but I definitely do not. πŸ˜’πŸ™…β€β™€οΈ
