The Dragon Bone

I can just applaud Xiaoqian's creativity when it comes to her survival. And on top of that she even managed to get the Dragon Bone for Han Shuo and cured his heart. 😂👏 Now I expect he won't try to kill her anymore.😏And once again Chuchu's plan of catching the spy failed. Her missions always happen in the most inconvenient times and places... 🫣

I think she's won him over

He genuinely likes her now. 🥹I really liked how he accidentally overheard so many conversations, and each of them made him fall for her more and more. And I am sure the birthday gift she prepared, along with their sincere conversations and drinking under the moon, won him over completely... 😌What's with that rumour that the second princess is not Her Majesty's real daughter? Shouldn't Xiaoqian know about that too? 🤨

The change in his behaviour once he assumed why she saved him... lol 😂

Hahaha, his deductions about the reasons why his wife does the things she does. Of course she likes you! If only she knew that, too... 😂 And the way he so suddenly changed from an antagonist to a lovesick puppy all because of his own assumptions. I am so here for it! 🙂‍↕️ I really love the comedy bits and funny misunderstandings this drama provides. 🤭

I needed this chaos!

His unsuccessful attempts to kill her and her messy attempts to get the plot back on track without getting killed — I really needed this chaos! 😂

Looks like a light rom-com in fictional world. Just what I need!

I've wanted to check this one out for so long, and finally couldn't resist the itch. Not sure yet if I will continue right away, though, but this gives off a light rom-com vibe which could be an easy watch and something I need. 🙂‍↕️Both of Zhao Lusi's characters are pure chaos — the fictional third princess and the author herself. But that just adds to the comedy, in a good way. 😏I like that the setting is a female-dominant city, which is unlike anything I've seen in C-dramas before. The dynamics with reversed gender roles will be interesting to watch. And I am already excited for this enemies-to-lovers trope! 🤭 My only concern along the way will probably be if this is all just a dream of Chen Xiaoqian's and she wakes up at the end. 🤨P.S. Sad that Han Shuo doesn't have Ding Yuxi's beautiful voice. 😔

I have a hunch James realised...

It did look like the unreadability could be a Nour thing. But now it won't matter anymore, because James most likely understood everything from Ken's colours, and now Ken will have to do some explaining in the next episode. 🫣😟And some bits of the investigation weren't too convincing for me... Like, why didn't they ask Tee's girlfriend to specify what it was she had forgotten in the lab to make her return for it? She obviously would have lied, since it was a blood bag, but why did they never ask her that? 🤔 Or, how could she so confidently confirm that the body was Tee's just by looking at it? Except for the tattoo, there weren't any other visible clues. 🤷‍♀️5

The symbolism of the red line

So, Ken is a Nour who is looking for a special type of Nour that can kill other Nours... I finally got it... phew. 😅 I really thought James would see the Nour and it would also be white/grey like Ken and he would put two and two together. But maybe that colour is not a Nour thing, but just Ken's. 🤔I really like the symbolism of the red line illustrating how the relationship between James and Ken changes. With every episode, it frayed bit by bit until now it is torn completely. No borders anymore, perfectly showing how close they have become and how much James has managed to get into Ken's space, meaning into his heart. 😌However, I don't really enjoy how much the story relies on physical intimacy. I would be perfectly fine with their love being shown through their eyes and body language rather than intense kissing in every episode. 🫣 And I must add that hearing all the kissing noises during those scenes is a little distracting to me. If they add background music (which they did), they could easily remove all the sound effects of saliva exchange. 🤨

They are moving quicker than I thought they will

Smartphones have been around for more than fifteen years, so how could Ken not have learned to use them by now? 🤨 And whoa, the final scene! I didn't expect to see them kissing already. And for someone who mostly watches C-dramas only, this felt like A LOT. Chinese censorship wouldn't allow any of that chmok chmok I heard and tongue-locking I saw. 🫣🤭But about Tee... Was he in some kind of berserk mode, with his eyes changing colour and the skin around them turning red? Could that be a genetic thing, or did someone infect him? 🤔And at least one of my theories turned out to be right — James wants to investigate the case because his father died in a fire, and they never caught the person responsible. Now I need to figure out if I understood it correctly and Ken is a Nour, not someone who needs to find one to be able to die. 😅

Interesting start

The first question popping into my head after watching how many years Ken has tried to die was — couldn't he be killed the same way as the Highlanders, maybe? By beheading? I think it's hard to wake up after that, no? But considering his goal, this might have a sad ending. 🤔The dynamics between James and Ken are pretty fun to watch, and I want to see how long Ken will be able to hide from James that he's tied to his father's death... Drama is already brewing, I believe! 🫣 And how could he be so calm after fishing a man out of a washing machine? Is that a common thing in their country? (I know it's a fantasy, but still...) 😯And is Ken attempting to hitchhike to the afterlife with the people who die in fires? And was it really him everyone claims to have seen? 🤷‍♀️ I do love a good mystery! 😏🙂‍↕️Side note: I somehow had missed that this is a BL, so that caught me a little by surprise. But the chemistry between both male couples is very visible — that's what made me pause in the middle of the episode and check if there's a BL tag! 😅

Marrying her husband

Jihyuk and Jiwon are so adorable together! Their date and walk on the beach and her caring for him while he's sick... 🥰 However, I worry about how they keep reminding us of his future death. I know it's very selfish of me, but can't someone else die in that car crash instead of Jihyuk? Any of those intolerable men like Mr Kim, Minhwan, or Manager Yang's husband, for example? 🫣🤨Also, Ms Yang having stomach cancer is a big no from me. And they didn't say how far it has progressed, so I can only hope it's still at a curable stage. 😔🤞Absolutely loved the trio from school crashing Sumin and Minhwan's wedding. That was pure gold! And they ARE finally unhappily married! Woohoo! 👏🥳And Jihyuk's ex-fiancée? What's her deal suddenly? Why she joined the plot? 🤨😒

Loved every bit of this episode!

Oooh, the confession and the return kiss... He has waited for this for like 20-30 years if we count both timelines. Love them, they are finally together! 🥰Pure gem how Jiwon publicly at work let everyone see that she and Minhwan are done — the slaps, the panties (lol, "Panties Park"), the quick spread of all the rumours. That downfall was quick, quick, quick. 😂🤗Sumin pulling the pregnancy card? She should be smart enough to know that no man can be bound by a child alone — whether he marries her or not. But her reasons were to make herself look vulnerable and give people a reason to feel sorry for her. I wonder how she will explain when the baby is not there... most likely a miscarriage, like in all those fake pregnancies. 🤨This episode in general was very satisfying as all the villains received some punishment for their doings! 👏

An accident...

Didn't expect them to go all the way already, but at least she was sober. And I didn't expect this kind of intimacy to be seen in a C-drama. I think I even blushed! 🫣🤭I understand why she said it was an accident and is trying to act like it wasn't a big deal. It's all to protect herself from any heartbreak this could cause her later. Yet, he had a bit of a mixed reaction to it — on one hand he doesn't want a relationship, yet it does feel like he doesn't want to let her go either. Will have to see how this evolves, but I sense some toxicity coming our way. 😔I wanted to hug Yu to cheer her up after that bad day... 🫂

Canadian, Zhitao and Luan met in a bar....

Don't know why, but I don't trust the Canadian. The way everyone disappeared so quickly from the table and left the cards behind for Zhitao to clean it all up — I didn't like that either. And adding to all that, I definitely wouldn't follow a man I just met to a nightclub. 🤨 So, I am happy Luke was there, because I don't know where the Canadian would have taken her if she couldn't remember where she lived. 😮‍💨I'm a little worried about a possible love triangle forming between Yu, Yuanzhu and Zhitao. I noticed how Yu looked at Yuanzhu, but I already suspected before that he might like Zhitao (if not now, then eventually). If it really comes to that, I hope it won't ruin the friendship between the girls. 😟🤞Luan's friends were funny — they were quick to notice he's different in some way. Also, him taking someone to places he never takes anyone, or not allowing another man to touch her, and still being very protective of her. AND now he's even taking her to his home, because she can't remember where she lives... 🫣From those snapshots before the additional scene, it looks like they will get more intimate. Will they kiss? We'll see, but considering how drunk she is, I hope they don't. 🫤P.S. I wonder what happened between Luan and his ex-girlfriend and why she's so mentally unstable and obsessed with him.

Unrequited love

Didn't look like Yan Ke was OK with Simu's rejection. That dark aura... 😬 But I still don't trust Jiang Ai. Her wanting to save Bai Sanxing clearly means she has feelings for him, but since he's an enemy to Simu, where does that leave her? 🤔I really can't wait for Simu to reunite with Duan Xu and Chenying. 😔

Workplace rivalry that brought them closer

Uff, I didn't like what Kitty did to Zhitao. Using her as an assistant to run so many errands just to keep her away from the filming site. And I sense it didn't matter if Luke scolded her. She might not be done with Zhitao since they might eventually compete for the same promotion. 😒BUT, not everything's bad and it did let Luke show us how protective he is of her. And I must admit, he already looks at her like he's falling. 😌
