IrenaK Another unforgettable episode. I really loved that we got some action (and amazing action at that), but I am so sad it caused Jialan another trauma and gave her nightmares. But how could it not? She's not used to bloodshed, and death in general is very traumatising for her. 😔And they are growing closer by the minute—especially him to her. I can see that. He already cares for her a lot, no matter if that's because she's his servant or because she helped him. I think he genuinely likes her as a person, and that's where the worry and care are coming from the most. And Nanke telling their master and Lanxiang have the same fierce look in their eyes that says they have to survive... They are alike in so many ways that they could be considered soulmates, yet they don't know that yet. 😌And I love the friendship the maids have... especially how dear Lanxiang is to all of them. She has helped them unintentionally in ways that anyone would be grateful for for the rest of their life. My example this time is Gantang, who was saved from being sold by her family. 🥹🫂Loved the little scene where Jiugao gave sweets to Yuchan. It was done so casually, yet I think it was because he likes her. 🤭

Seeing which actress plays Young Lady Du, I am already wary of her. She is humble, kind, and friendly, but I want to see how she acts when she's alone or just with her personal maids. Only then will I be at ease. 🤨I loved how Jinqi just stopped outside the doors to listen in on what Lanxiang would say about herself, and how he told Yuchen not to worry about whether she knows why he divorced Young Madam Zhao. It already shows he's growing fond of her. And knowing he won't get remarried for at least another year gives our leads plenty of time to fall in love. 😌🤗P.S. I am just so amazed at how every single episode introduces plenty new characters, and I'm not even sure how many of them will ever appear again. 😅

Wow, does that mean Xingtang and Jinqi never consummated their marriage? I bet it's easier to divorce if that's the case, no? 🤨And they finally talked! I didn't think she would become his spy, but I actually love that turn of events. He had gathered info on her because of that painting and knows she's hiding things from Xingtang. Now, meeting and talking with each other on a regular basis will bring them closer... I am a little hyped for this arc! 🤗Also, why were they both watching the plum tree blossoms? My guess is they might be her favourite and he just enjoys them because they remind him of Shen Jialan. 🫣I really want to add how much I love Yingge and Xiaolian. That scene where they took care of Lanxiang when she was so frozen was really touching. "A close neighbour is better than a distant relative." That line is so true. 🥹❤️

I really liked the museum scene if I ignore how much AI was used there, but overall it did feel a bit too easy how he managed to get back into her life and win everyone over just like that. 😅To be fair, I expected some comment from Tao when he said to her parents he's ready to take responsibility, because all he said there was "responsibility" and no word about love — not even after her parents left. But we know what he meant there and that's enough. 😔Overall, it's a good story about someone with flaws learning to love another person with flaws, and how it helped them grow as individuals. While Nian learned to express his feelings in a proper way without hurting others, she grew professionally, gained confidence, learned to put herself first and matured a lot. 😌However, it did sometimes feel like the story was missing depth, but that might have been caused by the number of episodes they cut. I personally would have loved to see way more of what happened in Lumi's life with Will, and in general. Same about Sun Yu, and even getting a better insight into Yuanzhu's struggles that led him to that choice. For that, I feel a bit robbed. 🫣

I won't comment on the intimate scene, but the good thing is that James knows everything there is to know about Ken now. And they even said they loved each other. 🫣😳 And finally being able to put their minds together to solve the Nour case with ALL the info? Let's go! Because it's been proven a gazillion times that two minds are always better than one. 🙂↕️☝️Ji and Chita, hmm...Chita is like a fluffy little pet — he's shy and does seem very pure and innocent. And that reason alone is why I forbid that Nour chick from harming him in any way. 🙅♀️But I'm not sure about Ji... Chita said he broke up with his previous partner because of that person lying to him, and Ji's face looked a little suspicious to me at that moment. Could he be lying about something to Chita that could potentially affect their relationship? 🤔

This episode was heavy and very emotional. 😭💔 I hoped this wouldn't happen, and that he could find happiness with Sun Yu. But sometimes things are like this, and while watching, I thought a lot about those people I knew in my life who chose the same way to leave this world. 🤧At least Nian and Zhitao didn't break up after he misunderstood the situation. And, hey, the plot twist — he noticed her in the hallway too! 😌

This episode was golden! 🤗🥰I loved Lumi, as always! She got a gang of motorbikers with bats to demolish the real estate agency that offended Zhitao — a best friend indeed, almost feels like she's become her ride-or-die!🤗Nian was like a completely different person. He admitted his mistakes, and they reconciled. He promised her to give more praise and encouragement. And him calling her his girlfriend completely melted her heart... Yes, I noticed that. 🙂↕️❤️ And now they'll live together for a few days. Awww, the look on Nian's face when he saw the dog... That man would agree to anything if Zhitao asks him. I just want to know what he will say when he learns the dog's name is Luke. 🤭I am so sad about what's happening with Yuanzhu, yet I am glad the one who accidentally heard of his family's problems was Sun Yu, not Zhitao. I want those two to grow closer. 🥺

I think that girl who's going to Hong Kong is someone Zhitao went to university with — might be a classmate, or maybe she's the senior Zhitao mentioned. At least their conversation gave the impression they've studied together. 🫣I dislike Alex even more now. His comments on things and those little smirks here and there make me feel uneasy. Also, Annie might have some issues with Zhitao and hold a grudge against Luke. She and Alex could easily cause some trouble for our leads. 😬😟Loved Nian's friend. He sees right through him! 😂 And I can only hope that in the future Nian takes his advice as it is given, not through his own prism and interpretations. 🙄And, lol, I guess Nian's mom is so confused about her son — one minute it's a "yes", then five minutes later it's a "no"... Jealousy can make people act unreasonably. 🤭

Didn't expect them to go all the way already, but at least she was sober. And I didn't expect this kind of intimacy to be seen in a C-drama. I think I even blushed! 🫣🤭I understand why she said it was an accident and is trying to act like it wasn't a big deal. It's all to protect herself from any heartbreak this could cause her later. Yet, he had a bit of a mixed reaction to it — on one hand he doesn't want a relationship, yet it does feel like he doesn't want to let her go either. Will have to see how this evolves, but I sense some toxicity coming our way. 😔I wanted to hug Yu to cheer her up after that bad day... 🫂

Don't know why, but I don't trust the Canadian. The way everyone disappeared so quickly from the table and left the cards behind for Zhitao to clean it all up — I didn't like that either. And adding to all that, I definitely wouldn't follow a man I just met to a nightclub. 🤨 So, I am happy Luke was there, because I don't know where the Canadian would have taken her if she couldn't remember where she lived. 😮💨I'm a little worried about a possible love triangle forming between Yu, Yuanzhu and Zhitao. I noticed how Yu looked at Yuanzhu, but I already suspected before that he might like Zhitao (if not now, then eventually). If it really comes to that, I hope it won't ruin the friendship between the girls. 😟🤞Luan's friends were funny — they were quick to notice he's different in some way. Also, him taking someone to places he never takes anyone, or not allowing another man to touch her, and still being very protective of her. AND now he's even taking her to his home, because she can't remember where she lives... 🫣From those snapshots before the additional scene, it looks like they will get more intimate. Will they kiss? We'll see, but considering how drunk she is, I hope they don't. 🫤P.S. I wonder what happened between Luan and his ex-girlfriend and why she's so mentally unstable and obsessed with him.

Uff, I didn't like what Kitty did to Zhitao. Using her as an assistant to run so many errands just to keep her away from the filming site. And I sense it didn't matter if Luke scolded her. She might not be done with Zhitao since they might eventually compete for the same promotion. 😒BUT, not everything's bad and it did let Luke show us how protective he is of her. And I must admit, he already looks at her like he's falling. 😌

I already suspect that Sun Yuanzhu might become the SML. And he would probably be the "healthy" choice, yet it's already known that no one can order their heart on who to fall in love with. 🤨It does seem Luke has warmed up to Zhitao — she did not only impress him a little with her initiative to check on the director, which ended in them getting the project, but she also keeps surprising him with her personality, hard work, and work ethic. 😌I don't think that the girl in the red dress was a romantic interest of Luke's. She gave me more of a sister's/cousin's vibe or maybe just a good friend. But Zhitao's imagination really can go places! 😅And I do love the homey atmosphere they have in their apartment. They feel so wholesome and already supportive of each other! They definitely are the best part of this show so far, especially the friendship between Zhitao and Yu. 🤗P.S. Her parents are adorable! ☺️

He caught her attention the first time she saw him! 😏He's very discouraging by telling her to quit her job, that she's stupid and useless, but even though he's quite cold to her, he's not completely indifferent. She has some characteristics that have caught his attention, and he keeps observing her, even if only occasionally. AND I am glad he helped her to get home, though. I didn't trust that taxi driver either! So, plus points for that. 😌I don't think the man who followed her was someone who wanted to hurt her. I think he was someone moving into one of the apartments on the same floor, considering the luggage. 🤨I liked that she has already made a friend in the city. Sun Yu seemed very nice. 🤗P.S. That typewriter looked like an antique, so could that be a family heirloom?

Oh, what an ending! Some might object, but I think it was very satisfying and very well wrapped up without leaving any loose ends. 🤗👏The Yu family's end was well deserved, I think. Lord Yu, ironically in a struggle to make his son take the blame for his own sins, got accidentally killed by him. Madam Yu, with her son and grandson, was exiled and their wealth was confiscated, and she even "lost" a bit of her sense of reality and kept living in a limbo where she tried to match her son with Tingyun. Her mind was her sharpest tool, which she will never be able to use properly ever again, meaning she was crippled in her own way. 😌I didn't expect to see Yake any more, and I thought what we saw before was her ending, but I think it's even better knowing she became an instructor in Ganlin Town, because it actually suits her quite well. 🙂↕️ All the other side characters also got well-earned endings. Sen married Miss Wang, Miss Wu got her freedom, the Mo family got their first scholar, Tingzhou excelled with his teachings, and then there's the Wei couple's shenanigans in the bedroom... 🤭However, I didn't expect to see Mr Jin, as I thought he had died from that beating. But crippling his leg, just as he had cut his ear for betraying his brothers and Zhao Ling, was a good enough ending for me. He wasn't a bad person after all, he just sometimes had misplaced trust and motives. 😌But as for Zhao Ling and Tingyun... I couldn't be happier with how the story ended for them! 🥹❤️ I was so proud when Ling did not accept the Emperor's generous reward and chose to stay as regional commander to live his days happily in peace with Tingyun and their daughter (and maybe more children if they eventually come) in Ganlin Town. 🤗This drama was such an emotional journey, touching on so many topics that are still relevant nowadays, and not only in China, but in other countries too. It showed very well how people can lose themselves in the climb for power, wealth, and status — how much they have to sacrifice if they aim too high... So, in the end, choosing peace, love, and values that matter to one's heart can be way more rewarding than all of that. 🥹I liked one line that one of the Yus said a couple of episodes ago — that the top is very cold. And I couldn't agree more, as it did feel that way very often. 😔The cinematography was stunning and the OST was a treat for my ears. The directing and actors did their job marvellously, making me hate the villains, love the heroes, and sometimes question their choices and motives, especially Zhao Ling's, but it all showed how human they are — with their faults, their strengths, their emotions, their desires, and ambitions.All I can say is, I really loved this drama, and I highly recommend it to anyone. 🤗A pure masterpiece in its own way. 💖

This episode was so sad.... 😭💔 And Zhao Ling vomiting after executing General Mo — the lengths he has to go to and the things he must do to remain in the Emperor's favour... 😟 I really want them to get out of the political game and return to Ganlin Town... But even that would not be the same anymore with the Northwest feeling betrayed by Zhao Ling and Tingyun.His heart is with his roots and he's struggling so much to remain loyal to the Emperor, but I want him to talk about that with Tingyun — he's trying to shoulder most of those burdens alone, and that really isn't doing anyone any favours. 😔
