I already suspect that Sun Yuanzhu might become the SML. And he would probably be the "healthy" choice, yet it's already known that no one can order their heart on who to fall in love with. 🤨It does seem Luke has warmed up to Zhitao — she did not only impress him a little with her initiative to check on the director, which ended in them getting the project, but she also keeps surprising him with her personality, hard work, and work ethic. 😌I don't think that the girl in the red dress was a romantic interest of Luke's. She gave me more of a sister's/cousin's vibe or maybe just a good friend. But Zhitao's imagination really can go places! 😅And I do love the homey atmosphere they have in their apartment. They feel so wholesome and already supportive of each other! They definitely are the best part of this show so far, especially the friendship between Zhitao and Yu. 🤗P.S. Her parents are adorable! ☺️

He's very discouraging, but an interesting start.

He caught her attention the first time she saw him! 😏He's very discouraging by telling her to quit her job, that she's stupid and useless, but even though he's quite cold to her, he's not completely indifferent. She has some characteristics that have caught his attention, and he keeps observing her, even if only occasionally. AND I am glad he helped her to get home, though. I didn't trust that taxi driver either! So, plus points for that. 😌I don't think the man who followed her was someone who wanted to hurt her. I think he was someone moving into one of the apartments on the same floor, considering the luggage. 🤨I liked that she has already made a friend in the city. Sun Yu seemed very nice. 🤗P.S. That typewriter looked like an antique, so could that be a family heirloom?

In the maze

So, I guess all the real secrets might be well-guarded in the Nine-Square Maze Prison. I don't remember who Bai Sanxing was—was he just someone who fought He Simu for the Sovereign title hundreds of years ago, or was he someone else, too? Apparently, he's important for the Left Hand, but why? Someone she loved, maybe? Or another reason? I couldn't really tell... and because she thought he was dead, did she hold a grudge against He Simu? Now that she’s seen him alive in that prison, maybe something will change? 🤔The Right Hand was definitely shocked to learn "that mortal general" was He Simu's spell-bearer. Is it for better or worse? I am quite confused after this episode, but about one thing I am definitely grateful—something intriguing finally is happening and I want to know more.Also, was that scene at the end an illusion, or did they actually get out of that prison? Could it be possible that this is how He Simu gets all her senses back permanently without borrowing them—just by entering that prison together? Probably not, but there’s room for guesses... 🤔

Unexpected and very touching side story

I have to say, the story of Spirit Si—his obsession, his memories, and his choice for ascension—was so sad and touching. I couldn't have imagined I’d cry for a character who was so irrelevant to the plot, someone whose only purpose was to show the path to Ascension and the choice required for eternal peace.The sequence that took up most of this episode was painful to watch: seeing his obsession and his broken heart, then watching him regain his lost memories and find the sanity to choose the path of peace. It was heartbreaking, touching and beautiful! 😭😌🕊️The rest of the episode was something I didn't know I needed—an exciting gambling game! It was hilarious to see the 'winner,' Duan Xu, actually being used to earn even better spoils for the 'loser,' Jiang Ai. The Left Hand is definitely playing a different level of the game! 😂😏

Why is Simu pushing Chenying away and ignoring him? It’s so clear the boy wants her in his life and thinks of her as family. It was really frustrating to watch him get sidelined, and that led exactly to what happened at the end—those evil guys (who I'm convinced are evil spirits themselves) have tricked his mind. 😒I really hope he remembers what Mr. Lin told him about looking harder to find the 'tell,' because the fake one will eventually slip up. This 'real' Xiaoxiao is nothing like she’s ever been, so I don’t understand why he’s still listening to her! 🤔🤞Also, I’m so curious to see how Duan Xu handles the battlefield without his sense of touch. I bet it will actually make him even more skilled! It’s amazing to think about him honing his other senses to compensate for the missing one—which, in a fight, is probably the most important one to lose.

Sense of touch

The way Duan Xu says her name... Simu... it sounds so intimate every single time! I honestly couldn’t focus on anything else in this episode besides those two. And now, she finally has the sense of touch!It’s amazing to watch her enjoying it like a child—so cheerful, playful, and curious about everything from different textures and fabrics to the feeling of the wind. Seeing a grown-up react to these sensations for the first time is just beautiful. Of course, Duan Xu is using that to his benefit... touching her and sending that "electricity" her way! She seems completely amazed and stunned by all these new feelings. ⚡️😊I believe her journey through the senses is going to be quite a ride, full of so many different emotions. I actually love that she cannot use her powers while experiencing these senses; it makes her journey even more diverse and grounded. Also, seeing how Duan Xu adapts to losing a particular sense was so funny—at first, he was falling everywhere like a completely wasted person, yet he was totally sober! 😂

New suspicious characters

Both Duan Xu and Chenying don't want Simu to leave their lives. I really hope she changes her mind and attitude toward the boy, because her rejection really hurts him. Poor Chenying! ☹️ Duan Xu is always searching for Simu when she's not around. He really has already fallen for her. His gazes are such a tell!The new guy, the Chancellor from the capital, is suspicious. I am not sure what his goal is there, but I would like to trust Chenying's judgment. He always notices many little things that eventually turn out to be a sign of some malice. 🧐And I wonder what Captain Han will say when he actually decides to ask, or learns another way, that he's also from the All-Knowing Sect and that Duan Xu was the one scarring his face and removing his memories. I don't think he'll be happy... Simu's right-hand man seemed a little jealous of her "passing amusement" that somehow has taken a lot of her mind and even changes her preferences. I hope the guy won't turn into a villain.

What a fight!

The Chong army should know by now never to underestimate General Duan Xu, even when he’s alone, captive, and chained! Watching him easily break free, throw the camp into turmoil, and set it ablaze to reach their general (the one with the cat) was incredible. His journey gradually shifted him into a "bloodlust mode" until he went into a complete frenzy to deliver the killing blow to the spy, whom he recognized as the "Fifteen" of the All-Knowing Sect. 💪🫣Before their final clash, Duan Xu revealed his own dark secret: he is actually the real "Seventeen", another specially trained assassin from the same sect! Supposedly disappeared for years, he was marked as a betrayer for disobeying and blinding his Mentor. What a character! I already knew he was no ordinary general, but now that we know his backstory, I am loving him even more! All of this led to him finally accepting He Simu’s deal, giving her his senses in exchange for the wishes. I cannot wait to see how her journey with these newfound senses will go. And best of all—Simu finally revealed her true name to him! 🤗✨❤️
