I had a feeling the dance studio would be their mediating ground! 😉☝️

The fight scenes were pretty good, imo. But I never expected the Nine-tailed fox's bell to be so fluffy! 😂 And are we having a love triangle forming between Xiuyuan, the prince and Xiao Bangchui? The prince is suspicious of Xiuyuan, but does he also want to help him? 🤨 Ye Ye always protects that one girl, which leads me to think they might eventually become a couple as well. The princess is terrible. I can't understand the reasons behind her hostility towards Xiao Bangchui—if there's any solid one, that is. Is it just her arrogance, or something more? 🤔 But at least they are now on the Academy grounds and are forbidden to harm other students—unfortunate for Xiuyuan and the arrogant princess, I guess! 😏It looks like Xiao Bangchui's power can activate or heal—or whatever it can be called—Xiuyuan's memories of their past life? So, are they the Demon Lord and Flower Fairy from the opera play shown in the previous episode? I believe they might be. It will be interesting to learn what happened and why they don't remember that past life. ☝️🤔P.S. And just when I finally started to remember her name, they changed it to Jiang Lifei.... 🤦♀️😂

Even more character introductions! I am getting lost with all those people. 😂At least we know that one of the travellers—Ye Ye was his name?—is someone from the same place our ML is. ☝️I didn't realise in the previous episode that the fox spirit had hidden inside the FL. At least it's clear now why the ML is so persistent about catching her—he wants to get that fox spirit out of her to save his brother. But I don't think for one bit that the angry old guy will treat the brother—he just wants the fox for himself and is using our ML. 🙄The ML has some very strong powers, and, to be fair, I think those blocked meridians actually hide a very strong power inside the FL as well. 🤨 But I might be wrong, of course, and she's just a witty young lady... But then—what was the deal with those divine beads on her wrists? 🤔 I believe they are something unique because they piqued the ML's interest in the previous episode.P.S. Damn, I should start memorising some of those character names.... 🤦♀️

I am starting this without any expectations, except from the poster, I realised it would be a costume drama. And it turned out to be a fantasy one! 🫢 It's been a few months without a fantasy drama on my ongoing watchlist. Good thing I chose to check this one out, then! 🤗So much happened in this episode, confusing me to the bone. 🤯 We got an injured nine-tailed fox, some very aggressive old man who wants that fox at all costs, a missing master, a dying brother, an Academy that is hard to get into, some assassins, a princess, a bunch of travellers, and a very chaotic duo—our leads—somehow tangling it all together. 🤩😏 Need to check more episodes to see where this goes, but this being the fantasy genre alone could make me keep watching! ✨

I did love how Ms Fang countered Liao Shiyu's attempts to get rid of Qian Fei. 👏 However, I wonder who the third party trying to sabotage Shanlifang's reputation is? 🤔 Is it someone Ms Fang has hired? Because she has said before that she wants to see the Qian Fei and Wang Ruohai drama unfold, and as far as I can remember from those investigation episodes, she had some agenda against Shanlifang. 🧐 Or maybe Wang Ruohai is pulling something from behind the scenes himself... time will tell. 👀Yifei was brilliant in this episode—not only did he manage to get tickets for his girl's idol, but he was also non-stop boring all his friends with his blabber about Fei and the things she likes, like that stand-up comedian for example. 🤗😂 I do hope they get together soon or do something that makes my heart leap with joy! 🥰💓And yet again, I have to vent about how terrible Jun's mother is... I am already feeling like an old record there... 🙄 But I did enjoy how Dang Yu said she should talk with her son instead of her about that compatibility... 👏💁♀️ However, I suspect the dance studio arc will bring those two closer and the mother will finally come around.

Is Fei finally realising he's more than just a tenant to her? 🤗😌 And Yifei taking her for a makeover? 😏 Ok, I am taking what they are giving me.But Jun's parents are just something else... The lengths they'll go to just to control what their dear son is doing... OMG, just give the boy his freedom to choose things and to make his own decisions! And they don't need to align with your views all the time! 😩But it was nice to see that Dang Yu finally agreed to go on a date with him. 🤗

I kind of felt embarrassed about Jun Cheng's parents. 🤦♀️ Yes, I get they wanted to understand what Dang Yu's qualities and other whatnots were, but could they not let their son make those decisions about whether she's good or not by himself? But like Yifei said—at least she saw a different side of Jun, which has led to their relationship moving a little bit further. 🤗Yifei and Fei were kind of cute in this episode, except... I didn't get the ending. Why didn't he come to eat? Did I zone out a little while watching and miss a scene? 🤔

I kind of expected there might be an argument between Jingjing and Lu Ze about his work situation and him hiding it from her, but, oh boy, I didn't expect that it would end with them splitting up... or whatever that can be called. 🥺💔 She gave the ring back because he chose his "baby" (his work) over her—a person who could have helped him through this, both morally and maybe even financially. 🙅♀️ Now he's sitting at Yifei's father's house waiting for the meeting with his last-chance investor... If Yifei is on his way to the same meeting, that could turn into something interesting! 👀Ruohai finally made a somewhat okay choice by letting Shiyu give him the money as a loan. It's much better than just having that money gifted to him. That way, at least he can avoid the feeling that he's just using her. But we all know that he actually is just her trophy boyfriend—like a doll she's bought to show everyone and keep at her side. Their relationship feels quite stiff. 😬I loved seeing Yifei finally doing some chores, even if he only did them after throwing tantrums and whining... baby steps in his progress! 🤗 A few more episodes and I hope it will become something natural for him. But I do love how he secretly continues to pull all the strings he can to help Fei. He's not telling her and he's not asking for credit—yet... 😏 The bedroom scene was so funny and cute! 🥰😂

Well, they shouldn't have kept Lu Ze's work problems a secret. Then maybe our fiery Jingjing wouldn't have acted so impulsively. 🤨 Ruohai will definitely be in trouble with his girlfriend because now she will know he lied. 🤭Jun Cheng and Dang Yu finally had a somewhat normal conversation, and at least he knows now what to improve in his personality if he wants to pursue her. However, his parents—though I think his mom more than his dad—are still such snoops. I just can't. 🫣🙄And I do hope that with Yifei's smart advice, Lu Ze can do better with his business. But I wasn't entirely sure if he could catch up with what Yifei was telling him. 🤔

And just as I expected, Lu Ze's work is affected and Qian Fei is named as the one responsible for that. 🤦♀️ And of course, that creates tension between Fei and Lu Ze, and eventually will also involve Jingjing.I know he said he's not really blaming her per se, but he hinted she could have at least said something before it was told to him by Liao Shiyu. On one side, his reaction was reasonable, but on the other—in a business relationship, professionalism and objectivity should be valued higher than personal affection. This is one of the things Yifei's opinion actually hints at. But we all know that doesn't happen all that often. And now Lu Ze has asked Fei to be the one who tells the news to Jingjing. I am a bit nervous about how this whole situation will turn out. 😟😬Wang Ruohai always looks like he's lost—both in time and space. 😵💫 I have never asked this out loud, but I've thought about it since episode 1... is his voice also AI-generated? Anyway, his character is terrible. I can't tolerate a man who has chosen to be someone's pet and lose all his agency, just for some wealth he won't even be able to get because of how incompetent he looks in everything he does. 😤 Thank you, Yifei, for breaking his nose! 👏👍

This episode really tried to push Wan and Xixiao down. But out of all the bad, something good has happened, and they have finally found a common language and can even laugh together. 🥹🤗 The way he gifted her the arrow necklace was cute; he's so fallen! 🥰Gu Meng's mumbling made my day... 😂The ruffian guy looked way too surprised by Wen's interference to save Xixiao... I hope he won't try to pay her back, but I think he might. Xixiao's father and "stepmother" trying to sell his mother's house? Doesn't it belong to Xixiao by inheritance rights? At least partly, if not all of it? 🤔🧐

Why do I think that Lu Ze's trouble at work will somehow impact his and Jingjing's relationship? 😟 Please, don't hurt her in any way... she's precious! 🥺The worst thing about Yifei is that he doesn't even try when it comes to household stuff and chores. 😤 Alright, a few moments maybe are cute, but they usually happen when she isn't looking or isn't even present... 🫣 I really hope he changes his attitude about all that very soon, because I would be annoyed if I had to live with such a person. It's like she has a lazy and spoiled son. 🙄😮💨

Wow, I didn't expect the twist about the brothers! And adding Wen's mother to the mix, Xixiao's father becomes the father of all three of them... in a way? 🤔🙄But Wen's mother boils my blood. To take all the father's money and leave a child to take care of her grandmother? Then to not even send money to pay for anything her child might need, and even now to say that Wen is not understanding her? I want to hear her reasons, really, because I can't imagine any that could justify her actions in this situation. Maybe I could accept it if it was to protect Wen in some way, maybe, but I don't know. Also, whose mother is the grandmother—the father's? 😩🧐Xixiao making that arrow necklace to fit Wen's bow... it's so cute. 🤗 Sadly, he never got to give it to her... yet.But as for the time jump, I can't express much shock because I suspect this wasn't the ultimate one. I believe their story will be covered by showing events in both timelines—events of what happened in the past in 2016 and then what is happening now in 2026, until they finally reach the point where the past is explained. And they will probably do that in parallel. It wouldn't be the first time a story is told that way. 🤨

I wonder who wiped the whiteboard? Was it a targeted sabotage? 🤨🤔 Even I saw this possibility that it might be erased and she would lose all her night's work. Oh, that silly girl! 🤦♀️ At least Yifei took photo of them and could save the day for her. What would she do without him, eh? 🤷♀️I am glad they talked and resolved that issue with "using", which means they returned to their old cozy selves—the way I like them the most. 🤗 And those Yifei's answers to Gui Lili from Fei's phone... 😂 And kudos to Zhao De for reading the room. Yeah.... card in his office. 🤭Jun Cheng's parents are the worst... I will complain yet again how they don't have any boundaries. If they expect that to be a comedy-like move—well, it isn't. 😩

All the annoying ladies are getting punished, which means we will soon be out of antagonists. Could that mean something big is coming? Also, Yuan Shen joining the imperial court probably means he will become a more regular fixture in all of their affairs. Maybe he'll be the one to stir the waters for Buyi and Shaoshang? 🤔But Shaoshang and Buyi are so smitten with each other! I can't ignore those smiles, those gazes... 🤭🥰🤗And, lol, "a few small items"—and Buyi empties Shaoshang's room completely! 😂
