it's really not bad they look like they just used a lot of stop motion and prosthetics along with the size of it. like i could tell the snow was fake, ofc, but the effects work within the story. it could have been BBC level bad.

on ep 3 and the makeup and prosthetics are beautiful. cgi is hard and it takes so much time and money (rightfully so, they work hard) but doing the best with what they have when things are bound to look weird anyway it wasn't hideous or distracting enough to hate it. so far i really like it hopefully that stays. this shit is up my alley though clearly. i wonder if any school nurse files fans align with this show (or strangers from hell....heheh.) pretty phenomenal stuff so far.

like the concept art is GORGEOUS stuff and the modeling. it only took me out cause i noticed some techniques or could see it being designed for 3D printing but it's not nearly as bad as i would have thought. not that that really matters to me but still LOL

i wonder how many people that work in vfx, makeup, prosthetics, or do any art feel about the cgi and what the difference is for those who like it and do it v. those who dont. am i just crazy for liking it also the blood effects are so often and ridiculous so far and that's so expensive and hard to shoot with i love it?!?!? lmao fellow artistes help and/or defend my honor/bad tastes

t bh i think even their acting leaves to be desired but that's the nature of BL. and i wholeheartedly agree with you. i am 29 and i would think totalyl different. we also all have diff experiences and access to the righ tinformation on how to live healthily with others, friendship, love etc so. genuinely the writer is very obsessed with sexual violence and it's alarming like her use of gang rape is scary. hopefully teenagers are more aware now but i'm sure many fall into the trap that we have/did.

on top of that these stories can be "bad" or not showcase healthy stuff but they should always make it clear what is and isnt acceptable and their behavior is NOT. and they never ever move past it; it's this cycle of ridiculousness. at some point the actors cannot sustain the story enough and the glaring errors become very very clear. it isn't enjoyable and it is sad. if you see some comments it's just...yea sad. unfortunately it's not just the younger people either.

i'm excited but they need to stop filming and be safe. the world can slow down. i know it won't happen and money but that's annoying. also this is insanely expensive and it troubles me that it takes so much (i worked on sets pre-pandemic and do film so i get it) but it's extravagant and extremely energy consuming (like literally for the earth and for people. extremely not green) that being said and my disappointment with working and this capital waste aside.....i really really look forward to it literally all the actors too. goddamnit!!! 2021!!

edit: omg and lee ga sub was one of the segok police officers? i remember him! nice! hpe we get more women in the show...

i know hes thin. he's a small actor, that makes sense but he was purposefully made to look sickly in the series and there's no doubt about that considering what we do know about it now (which is what they were trying to hint at the whole time then failed miserably by the end.)

this is a really tough medium to do but visuals are extremely important. he was stressed the whole time (his character) in the show, right? but for a viewer to not be completely distracted you have to supplement with other things. and i am almost positive i saw something about him dropping weight during the role (productions are stressful it is possible.) the dichotomy between he and song is, to me, a big big flaw.

that being said, there's nothing wrong with his body or face or anything and he's not a bad actor. my point was they made a serious choice visually and it, to me, did not work. in fact it was extremely detrimental to the viewing experience as you try to kind of showcase this love and affection but something is missing. this is a job for a cast and crew they need to take everything into consideration.
