no i dont lmao i didnt reply to you when you said "i respectfully disagree" bc you disagree with me and it's fine. i presented a counter-argument and you stated, "i do not agree." ergo, no response.

don't pathologize me replying to discussions on a forum that are out there. i haven't been rude out of nowhere (except a particular user who is a ridiculous harasser.) was i rude? no. my observations are observations. dissent is fine and i am interested in why people do so but if i feel as if there is an explanation or counterargument i will say so. but feel how you feel homie.

the beauty of s1 was the cloud and the presence of someone who was so confusing. when we came back to rewatch it we could appreciate who he was and what he was doing. they're just done in two totally diff ways. we got answers to some things in s2. we got answer to the major question in s1 which was the minister and his bribery case but overall the question for moo sung's death and kim ga young was a confusing mess because of culpability, reasoning, and the prosecution's involvement. in the end we get the satisfaction of knowing what it all meant and who did what and why. this season is just a different set up. i hope the ending is just as impactful in an interesting way. by s1 the progress made by ep 12 was taken back bc of eun soo and what happened to her as well. everything was confusing and then BOOM the latter eps. impactful stuff. it's just too quick to see it all as one. but i think many of us have intimate knowledge w/ s1 lol
im guessing another part is just negligence (remember he was looking up accidents on the bridge and keeps going "'a car accident can happen") i don't think it will be as much of an emotional blow like s1 but i hope it will be a blow regardless

we didnt know anything until ep 13 lol without ep 14 (15?) there is no way we would have understood that conclusion and that is an extreme positive for s1
I also want to commend Lee Joon Hyuk for his performance. He truly embodies Seo Dong Jae. He acts in a way that…
this was the first thing i remember LJH in (i saw city hunter but didnt remember him) then i saw designated survivor. i hated him and yon se ah in this the first time around. then i realized that their mode of acting for them was perfect and that i just didn't mesh with the execution. but i realized for LJH and SDJ especially (i warmed up to yoon se ah and her acting technique and i love it) the fakeness that comes across as so annoying and fake is well done as he filters in between fake/real self as sdj. i didint' appreciate it and i think it shows way more in s2 because of his fall from grace.
In E2, One of the cases Dong-jae brought to Tae-ha was the ex prosecutor who died from a suspicious heart attack.…
also to note that oh ju seon is taking over for gwang su's posiiton. they are trying to fight paying back fines for tax evasion (they say they have no $) and basically frauding when an audit comes. there's also the question of the car accidents and the sturdiness of the bridge. to be clear though there's two parts of hanjo—lee young jae's share and her half-brother and father's share.
Another episode to fill time and earn petty cash for everyone involved in this scam of a show. Initially there…

it's nonsensical but you would understand if you read crime and punishment and betrand russel in it they say "those who do not understand show understanding in the misunderstanding" and "a superhero is not real, only a human" (right approach from writer) and our participation as victims is the point of the show while we watch them get paid and nothign in return
Everyone is criticising the writer when I am absolutely in love with how things are going (haven't watched ep…
i think the space given gives it more gravitas. and di am happy because they are their own people together or alone, you know? but also we see all these other aspects that are fascinating. lee chang jun is one of my favorite characters of ALL time, without him the show would have been so unimportant. the characters in their world make their rship and the way they operate fascinating. idk. i love it too. it is extremely immersive and gripping. i am sure you are not the odd one out. there's always an expectation with a precedent. i've always considered FoS one of the best shows ever tho and i think it deserves a 10 (as far as 10s can go lmao there's no such thing as perfect) but it never got that here either. anyway, you're def not alone.

i have tried and failed. but its uniqueness helps us appreciate all the different types of dramas / art/ tv it really shaped my way of how i see other dramas in a good way.

also: for all the criticism that isn't really constructive or conducive to the material at hand—more about how people wish FoS2 went and how it deviated from what they wanted whilst, i argue, missing the point of the first season in itself—most notable to me is that i can compare TONS of scenes to their counterpart from s1 and the necessity of s1 into the scenes in s2 to the pacing, the "coincidences", the reveals, the dialogue, the relationships and our prior knowledge. it's literally a mirror to it but executed with a more developed world. whether that was achieved or not in a likeable way is different but the differences are not so stark at all. more the differences in the similarities and how a world 3 years later and more mature creatively, in real life, and in this world deal with it...
i think criticism is necessary but i just don't think this type of criticism makes any sense and frankly it seems as if the material presented is totally forgotten with what s1 gave us and any enjoyment in deviation. since when are hsm and hyj pit against each other? why would they be the only 2 things for us to watch this show on? why wouldn't sdj's lack of presence be important and create a presence? the expectations created by the show were lived up to here and amplified. of course it is different but what exactly did the writers betray the viewers on? i have to go through this again as a work on its own and also as a work in conjunction with s1 because i just cannot seem to understand it. my interpretation of course could eb wholly different. on the other hand, the fact that we are relying on s1 so heavily to enjoy this season seems so dissatisfying. it woudl be different if certain things didn't work—we can argue that—but how could it consistently be only about s1 when this is still something that is presented. what would have made s2 worthwhile to others? at this point think of it as a wholly different show then (which i argue you CAN'T bc we know the histories); how does it stand to you?
i can't really think much but i can't beleive we have two more weeks left and when it's over we're all gonna be able to go back and rewatch in totality and it's gonna be nuts. already though i am happy and satisfied. i feel like something is missing not knwing the whole, but i feel like the differences and the similarities within the show are really telling us what we need to know on an emotional and philosophical level.
i am just pleased. i am pleased and sad this is here but it will be over. i like it more than s1 but perhaps bc i've seen s1 so many times. but i feel as if i just got immersed this time around in a way i didn't in s1. i am happy we get to see all these people. and i cant wait until we know it all. this show has given me such pleasure since it's conceptionn and i thank everyone. it's clear how much this show means to the crew and that labor of love is evident. what a ride.
the payoff of the staircase scene is in their seperation. having them grow as seperate people but be able to trust each other and come together. the staircase scene is a direct callback to the beach scene. and i say this every week but the word of FoS never deviates from the paramaters they set up in s1. the target is different and the focus is broader and focused on the ensemble but it then goes back to how hwang si mok and han yeo jin will operate with their surroundings. the goal of the crew was to do something new but also acknowledge the foundation which is something that should be done if shows want a continuation. it didn't stagnate, it matured, and with maturity becomes a broader understanding of the world. the show's murky and vague and i could critique that but i also realized there's some editing beats they got SO much better this time around, too.
and we know the significance of every word and action. we may have missed that the first time in s1 but we know we have to pick up on it now. especially grateful for as much as i don't understand hanjo's involvement that the lee family and chang jun are integral to this story; for better or for worse. and this episode shows choi bit and wth being opposite hsm and hyj in the most interesting ways. they're more world-weary and mature but at their expense. anywayssss i'm HAPPY
