idk how i feel but i ff to get to their parts lol. i think the criticisms are valid and the acting could be better…
oooh and wow ok. so i'm not rly gonna comment on the editing as much because i am an editor, and also a snob, and i'm good at my job so whatever. yes, i am confident in this aspect; i love being a filmmaker and put a lot of time and energy into it—so should they! i know they are doing the best they can but this is a hard job, i'm assuming TV, esp on non-cable, has extremely quick turnaround.
i don't think they have another person who goes over sound and i think the editor is doing it themselves frankly. for the LIFE of me i don't understand why they would use the same sounds in the same scene or input noises that we can see don't match up or do not need to be there. in the beginning when they flashback to what happens there's extra noises indicating that they are sharing a different type of kiss.....WHEN WE SEE WIN'S FACE NOT DOING WHAT THE SOUND SAYS HE IS and then they reuse ANOTHER TWO (I THINK THE SAME SOUND TWICE BTW) when they're on the back shot and it is CLEARLY not what they are doing. then in the locker scene they put in moaning (again that we can see wasn't happening), slowed down the frame rate (fine) and then used....the....same....moans....again......the. same. sound. GUYS. it can't be because the sound wasn't useable because i have never seen a thai drama care about that (this isn't a bad thing necessarily). also we could see prem's mic. does anyone on these tv stations have pro tools???????
oh and the fucking music. did they not want to pay more composers if they used the same song? it isn't as bad as last week in the last scene but damn they need something else.
maybe the editor is a newcomer and i empathize and understand that. and you don't get paid as much as you should sometimes in the beginning, or bosses being bosses and just fucking you over, and this is an extremely hard job, you have to love it to stay. this is also on all the production team and the cast cos we get thrown under the bus. so i'm not blaming them but it's perfunctory, utilitarian and not artistic or cosmic like they want it to be.
the first episode suffered more from this. some of the cuts are too fast but tbh i prefer that to being excruciatingly slow because, from what i've seen, there's an inability for mainstream, popular (or with popular people) thai dramas to film/edit that correctly. i do have hope for the editor bc there's some choices they made (and i hope /they/ got to make it) that i enjoyed like when team ran out of frame after win asks him to come to his room then they cut to the plant with that empty beat.
also i just saw fuckin' tar yesterday which is an amazing movie, with an amazingly insanely talented cast, incredibly deft writing, directing, editing, and deep social commentary and the director was a fuckin' kubrick protege so like what am i even talking about lol

BUT it was good (minus the fuckin unecessary slamming that is very unsexy) and it is at least conveyed to us, or most of us idk, that they look and feel good together and it is intimate and inense but that's jes me. i am very hungover but i was thinking that i have a lot of notes to give. they could really do better (BUT also uwma def had less budget, i didn't like the camera they used, and it looked very flat, very little to look at and minimal shot choices even before the panorama started). another thing: i neeeed sammy to take her lip fillers out my god that trend needs to die. she and pruk are cute tho.
lemme end more positively: when i am more sober i will rewatch it and revel in their chemistree btw i do VERY MUCH like their scenes but if i'm putting my time into it i'm still gonna critique it. but they are the main draw and i'm gettin' what i came here for.

like the above user said it flatlined at the end; if i rewatch i'll cut it off before they get on the bed. also like some1 else said the CHOREOGRAPHY oh my god and the EDIT. there were at least 3 things that i do not understand why they didn't cut around in that scene or use a diff take (if they had it). like when their arms hit each other before they hug before they got on the bed rlyyyyyyyyyyy bugged me lol like why....wouldnt u...just fix it????
that being said there's a difference between like watching two people with chemistry be intimate/physical/sexual, their actual chemistry, and the viewer's satisfaction (which i got in the beginning) and for me stuff like KP absolutely doesn't do it, doesn't express chemistry, and couldn't make me dryer. so u no, diff strokes
this was super enjoyable to watch. honestly now this was an actually different and interesting (and philosophical!) drama. not perfect but wow! engaging
