This first season of Ever Night is such a great revenge story! Talk about reading the novel, I ended up reading the mammoth 1118 chapters after S1 was done, I couldn't wait for S2 :D The put a lot of money into it, the lead is Chen Kaige's son and the production company spared no expense.

Nothing pathetic about that! I tried to watch the untamed last year but couldn't get past the credits lol. I hate flying sword dancing, I prefer my wuxia to have tighter sword choreography. Ever Night was my first wuxia and it totally ruined me for fight scenes. Highly recommended if you've not watched it and enjoy the genre (skip season 2, tho, it's awful) I'll watch Immortality when it's out, so I'll get BL then too. :)

I'll still try to check out Dinner Mate as I have time, my drama watching girls are watching it, but I'm afraid of another hate watch lmao. Tkem is enough for now. And with those two on Wed/Thu, I have so many dramas and so little time, I think I'm good for now! :D

I need to watch it again and again, too, lol. It was really well shot! The food (and that ship) looks very seductive, I agree. I hope they're able to maintain the seduction!

The normal place I watch dramas at in HD didn't have Dinner Mate, I tried on iqiyi but I don't have a sub, and dramacool with the lower quality doesn't do it for me anymore, so good to know that it was the lesser of the two! I saw the first five minutes with Kim Jung Hyun and if I'm going to watch those two I need a happy ending so that was a turn off.

Fancy meeting you here! What did you think of that run-in in the stairwell? I swear I teared up, it was electrifying. I do hope the two men end up together, but I suppose that's unfortunately unlikely to happen. But those two guys could give LMH lessons, eh? ;)

I can see where this premise can be seen as offensive, but how many of these dramas have we had where the man passes off as a woman, etc., I'm placing this drama in the same bucket. Hoping this is a love triangle a la Coffee Prince and the girl ends up like Han Sung.

I recently found one for American TV, which surprised me. Normally people don't need this sort of thing for their own local TV (like I don't think I'd ever find one for Hispanic telenovelas, but how awesome would that be? Hehe) Is there something like imdb or rottentomatoes.com there? That's the only other stuff that comes to mind. Good luck!

The more I think about those ridiculous scars (why do they even matter? And how is lightning related to the portal?) the more I think they're just shiny plot holes. They even have convenient cracks through which the plot can seep into the void that's inside these vacuous characters.

Through 9 and 10 I was wavering.. Is it time to drop this? It felt like it jumped the shark there with her walking allll that distance with only one heel on, and the empty emergency room except for her and the dad, although I guess if we put it from the memory perspective, you can reasonably argue that that's exactly how she remembered it, with no one else around.

But the end of 10 and the hint of the machinations behind why Jae Hyun is where he is, and why he's been slowly simmering his revenge, oh man, I'm back in.

Oh, I do too! But when life gives you LMH-size lemons, you make the juiciest lemonade possible, with fangirl tears as the secret ingredient :D

Interesting! Totally missed that :) thanks! I've a suspicion that it's a dead end, but maybe that's why we haven't seen Tae Eul's dad in a while. Maybe the parents were the swapped ones and her dad is back in the kingdom.

One thing I do like about this mess of a drama is that it's a little bit of choose your own adventure. All you get is crumbs and cringe so you can reshape the drama into whatever you want!

That was so specific! I don't recall seeing a time stamp, but I'm sure I spent most of that scene looking at my phone instead of the tv, so it's possible I missed the clue. :)

Lol, let them be. This is the person who likes to call people roaches to make themselves feel superior. I'm happy to let them have The King, we'll keep the good stuff to ourselves ;) I'll still watch because I need more funny stuff on my Currently Watching list, and The King doesn't disappoint!
