I had to stop watching after the 2nd commercial break, with the skin care spray whatever the heck that was. If they'd inserted a ppl during the scene with Luna and Uncle that would've been awesome. "wait, lemme eat some chicken before i beat you up". i guess it's the wrong dimension for chicken, maybe it'll come later. Never lose hope!
OOOOOHHHHH YOU FINISHED IT!!!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! The ending left me crying like a baby. Did you watch the bonus scene? Viki has it, it's also on youtube. I watched a few days after I finished and bawled all over again. Li Zi Wei is the perfect boyfriend :)
so i happened to view the relationship chart of the drama and can someone spoil a few things for me. One, plz…
The young ones have a brother/sisterhood, yes. There will be some sort of rivalry when Bang Won is pushed out of Sam Bong's plan and he decides to pursue the throne for himself. But it's more of a tragic break-away rather than violent rivalry.
There's no love triangle per se, Boon Yi and Bang Won's love is doomed to fail from the start, as she's a peasant and he's from a noble family. Their love persists even after he marries, but it never materializes into a relationship, and his marriage is one of convenience throughout.
Haha! This is talent!! I also wondered how they breathe when traveling and how they had that whole convo in the…
My friends and I watch it for the sole purpose of making fun of it. It's great! I didn't get the murder and mayhem I wanted on World of the Married, so may have to root for the uncle here to kill em all

It's a fantasy! And he crosses the universe, so they could be aliens instead! He's letting her take a huge shortcut to address her implied request to "take me to your leader" I'm enjoying this drama immensely now lmao
But the same way that there were two badges, there could possibly be two flutes through time travel. I come back to my most fundamental question - why doesn't the uncle, or one of his minions, just travel to like the day before the day he kills his brother and steals it then? can he only travel forward in time and not back? Somebody was able to travel backwards with that badge.
I know there's no drama if he does this, but I legit am curious if there's a mechanic that stops him from doing this and so he had to go through all this trouble to get the other half.
I started watching this expecting a nice/angsty melo, I didn't expect to get a history lesson out of it. I'm loving their past much more than the present, and with that comes the student movement and all that tumultuous background. Considering the 40th anniversary of the May 18th Gwangju Uprising was today, a little bit more digging is worth your while:
It's scary to see all this comments on how bad legend of awakening was. The songs are op. Love them.I honestly…
Oh! i'm glad i read your spoiler. I'm on 17 at the moment and wanting to skip ahead. I'm watching very leisurely, multi-tasking while doing so (which i never do, i rely on the subs, but here it doesn't feel like i miss much if i stop paying attention for stretches of time), and want to continue, but the long haul is not appealing to me (i'm watching Joy of Life and Six Flying Dragons at the same time - length isn't the problem, but the bad acting and the forced w/e it is Lu Ping and Qin Sang have are drags).
Which chunk of episodes do you think would be safe to skip? Thanks!
This drama set the benchmark for so-bad-it's-good for my friends and I. So much so, that even passing references to forests in other dramas now send the red flags right up.
Every time Soompi posted an article showing the actors feverishly reading their scripts, or doing w/e they're actually paid to do, we felt another bad episode was around the corner, and we were right!
I remember thinking some of the episodes were pretty normal and good, some of the middle/late episodes, after the kiss in the hospital until the weird scene where you think they're gonna get it on, and then the weird-looking fire fighter dude shows up at their house. Talk about cockblock. And then there was a scene with cats on tv? And PHJ doing some very painful-looking (literally looked like he was in pain) aegyo... and then the drama climbed right back into the toilet it came out of. What the heck was that supermarket scene all about??
Although I was happy when it was done, I thought I'd need to wait too long to find another bad drama to bond over with the girls, but nope, TKEM came around fast, thank goodness! It's no coincidence that it also features a Forest of Destiny.
I just started scratching the surface on this topic, after watching a couple of dramas with the democracy movement as a backdrop. I watched A Taxi Driver and it affected me deeply. Looking forward to learning more, thank you so much for the guide!
