The last episode was cute, but it didn't have the emotional depth of the previous episodes. We didn't see any of the soul-searching and hard emotional work that Mhok and Day must have done during those 3 years, so them just getting back together with barely any struggle (that we saw) seemed a little too easy. I would have liked a more in-depth discussion between Mhok and Day about boundaries, being partners, trusting each other, etc... instead of Mhok simply apologizing and promising never to pity Day again.
As for Day regaining his sight, I was reading up and apparently, corneal transplants are just about the most common transplants done with some of the best outcomes (because corneas don't have blood vessels inside them), so him getting his sight back isn't too shocking (especially cause his family is rich). But, as some others mentioned, a reflection on what he learned during his time being blind and maybe a commitment to do some good (will he keep open the bookstore? ) would have been nice.
Anyway, I loved the series, and the ending wasn't *bad*, I just feel like it could have done more. Still, I'm satisfied, this was a great series and I rated it 10/10. Aof, as always, did a great job of directing (loved his cameo, he's like Stan Lee), and Sea and Jimmy killed it as well. I'm excited to see more from them.
The basic story beats are the same because of course it’s adapted from the same manga, but I honestly don’t…
So... what's the point of your comment? I already responded to the things you said in my last comment and this new comment is basically you repeating the same thing.
I guess you are one of those people who has to convince everyone they are always right.
Well, then let's just be direct. I shared my opinion, you criticised my opinion, I responded in good faith, and told you that I'm happy you are enjoying it. I don't really care about your thoughts anymore and I'm blocking you so I don't have to read your comments anymore. Have a nice life, boo!

It's the same plot. It's like watching filler episodes in anime. Maybe there's a couple of cool fights, but it doesn't change the overall story. I was hoping that maybe Tay and New would interpret their roles in a way that was at least as compelling as Machida Keita and Akaso Eiji, but I'm not really finding them to be as strong. They don't inhabit the roles in the same way. Or that they would move through the earlier stuff faster to get to the new stuff, but the pacing seems about the same.
So, it's exactly the same to me in all the areas I care about, just not quite as good.
But you're entitled to your opinion, if you like it, I love that for you.
It's cute, but honestly, it's pretty much exactly the same as the japanese version so far, at least as far as Achi and Karan are concerned. I might just wait till it's over to watch the rest, maybe they will do something new towards the end. Obviously, GMMTV will make money by bringing the story to Thai audiences who never saw the japanese version, but I generally think that remakes need to do something appreciably different/better than the original, and I'm not getting that here. Tay/New are cute and I'm glad they have the chance to work on a show with a better script (the storyline in dark blue kiss was sooo bad). The side couples are cute too, but I can't help but compare this to the Japanese version and my general feeling is "ehhh..."
I get it, Day didn't feel like an equal in the relationship and Mhok reinforced that feeling by lying to him about the job off (Mhok could have just said, "They offered it to me, but I decided to turn it down. After what happened with my sister, I don't want to miss a moment with the people I love, like you". So Day needs time to regain his confidence, be better able to take care of himself, so he can be an equal partner in the relationship.
Also, it's ep 11 so you know they were going to break up!
At least they waited until the last minute so we got most of an episode of good story :-P
I'm really loving the show so far, just kinda bummed out that it's another show where the disabled character gets…
girl, he ain't getting cured... that's not dramatic enough, P'Aof is a gay and gays love drama. Something crazy is going to happen, for sure. There will be a twist and something gut-wrenchingly sad. Bet
Mark deserves some kind of award, prize or something for his amazing acting - he nails each and every single role…
And he's in everything!!! Seriously, I am obsessed with Mark! I agree, he needs to get his own lead role, lots of them. I don't even like watching dramas with straight lead couples, but I would watch him with Namtan in a hot second!
Same 🥹 I need them to rise from the pits of being GMMTV's least popular pairing.
Seriously, it just goes to show that like 70% of people in the BL fandom don't care about anything but the visuals of a couple and how much fanservice they will do. That includes producers, not just the fans themselves.
I'm not going to say Jimmy or Sea deserve an Oscar for their performance in this series, because it doesn't rise to the level of say, The Color Purple, which I watched yesterday (the musical film that was just released). That film had a huge amount of money in the budget, award-winning actors and actresses and an incredibly rich source material to draw from (Alice Walker's 1982 novel, The Color Purple, which won the National Book Award in the US, making Alice Walker the first Black woman in the US to win that award, which of course doesn't mean there weren't lots of amazing Black authors, just that it took so long for a mainstream award committee to recognize that fact). So, that movie was objectively much better.
However, keeping in mind the context in which this series exists (GMMTV's yearly revenue from 2022 was approximately 1/10 of the cost of the 2023 film The Color Purple according to their wikipedia page), this series is absolutely one of, if not THE best series GMMTV has ever produced and by extension one of the best BL series to have ever come out of Thailand (with a few close competitors such as Bad Buddy, Moonlight Chicken, I Told Sunset About You, I Feel You Linger in the Air, but that's probably about it).
And then there will be people who are fixated on Joong and Dunk or Pond and Phuwin, who are cute 20 year olds, but are nowhere near as talented in acting as Jimmy and Sea have shown themselves to be in this series. To be fair to the other actors, the writing for their shows was absolutely awful, so I'm sure that some of them probably have more talent than we have seen, but still... Anyone who is comparing old school BL series like SOTUS or TharnType to this series, or the newer popular series that are only popular because lots of teenagers are obsessed with the looks of the main actors, is delulu. This series is hands down better than any of those other series (with those few exceptions I mentioned).
too many characters, not enough time to start caring about them... this ep didn't have any spicy scenes, just confusing plot and wooden dialogue. I'll probably just skim through each episode
the th transliterated to roman characters from the thai alphabet does not have the same sound in thai as in english. It's [tʰ], which is an aspirated t (essentially a t followed by a breath of air from back in throat). So the pronunciation is closer to the english word tong (the thing you use to get spaghetti out of a bowl).

However, they can be rejected over time, but initial success is high.

They are the cutest couple! Seriously, I could just watch them cuddle!
