The drama STY is more obsessive than the donghua STY. That’s why she’s more irritating. The drama actually provided more scenes for YS and QL together vs the donghua where YS was MIA for like 2 seasons. So yes, even if I want more scenes for Cheng Xiao and Fan Chengcheng together, I’ll take whatever I can get.

Me three! YS and QL have parted for like 3x now. They’ve got to have an award for loyalty and undying dedication for the toughest LDR ever. T.T and why couldn’t they even hug? My ChengXiao x Fan Cheng Cheng fan girl self is sad.

She’s ok with bad ass FLs. She’s the lead in To Get Her and Psychic princess. If she is meant to be a martial arts master I think she will do well.

*ahem* guilty. Lol. But so far no shows with Li Hongyi interest me aside from the period one. Also sad that for his next projects he’s just one of the major characters in period movies. I love him better in period costume. XD Let’s see if he can have the same chemistry with other actresses. He also needs to have a role in general costume. That would be interesting.

At this point in the story the logical step for QL is to side with YS even if she’s with the nether realm. Because he only cares about his grandpa, YS, and the Ling Borough people. So since the Ling people are dead and grandpa is in “heaven”, QL has no one he cares for on earth but YS. I just hope the writers will continue this great story trajectory and not surprise us with some plot twist involving amnesia, manipulation, and/or noble sacrifice in the end.

Seriously, I never thought I’d get addicted with a Xianxia drama but here I am eagerly waiting for World of Fantasy. TBH I got bored with The Legends because of the long episodes and too many episode counts, same as in Love and Redemption. But in World of Fantasy even if it’s 36eps at least it’s only 30-40mins long

It was mentioned somewhere in episode 20 to 22 that no one is inherently bad. Everyone is just doing things to survive. Nether realm just mutated because of their environment. XD

Well it’s just 22 episodes. We still have 14 episodes more to have the romance. But I don’t think romance is the primary theme of the drama. So I guess it would be the 2nd priority after the xianxia/political theme. But fingers crossed. I want Cheng Xiao and Fan Cheng Cheng to have more direct romantic scenes

Did you read the novel? By the feedback of the other novel readers, QL was borderline a douche. Lol. Donghua QL is like in between novel and drama QL.

The chinese novel is available and you can use google translate. They’re supposed to have a family. Don’t know if Youku will ever make season 2 of this because both LHY and ZL are fully booked till 2021. But a lot of fans are already clamoring for their 3rd collab.

I think there’s already an IG for LBTI and Lihongyi zhao lusi made by Vietnamese viewers? I get my Li Hongyi Zhao Lusi fix there. XD

Because in the donghua it was supposed to be Du Shao Yang who first activate a pillar and was supposed to be protected by the guards but here in the drama Qin Lie gets to activate most of the pillars which actually makes me root for Qin Lie as the ML. Loving drama Qin Lie more!

Am I the only one who loved the rewrite about the pillar thing in ep 15...

If you don’t have time to read novel, you can watch the donghua Ling Yu or Spirit Realm to get a background of the story. But be forewarned that the producers did a lot of character and story rewrite for the drama so it’s not 100 percent the same.

I love the whole character rewrite that they did vs the donghua. All the major characters are more interesting, Yu Shi is more than a damsel in distress, and Qin Lie is more than a walking testosterone babe magnet. I’m excited for more “romantic” scenes between Yu Shinand Qin Lie.

Actually even from the first episodes I knew he wasn’t meant to be a bad character because he was easily manipulated. XD By his dad, by the red saintess, etc. No true evil character is that easily swayed, they are usually the ones doing the manipulation. Lol

Personally after watching the Donghua of this which had better story flow, I liked the drama version more because the characters are more multi dimensional and the story is “deeper” and makes you want to know more about the characters. The Donghua flow is very straightforward so you don’t feel curious to what will happen in the future episodes.
