You are equating a cold and a flu to leukemia that will lead him to disappear? Lol. I will stop to commenr here as I think there’s a deeper reason why Jun’s decision is triggering such passionate response. XD Chill. Sunwoo Jun is a fictional character made for Rara. Don’t get too worked up. I’ll pray you won’t ever meet a Sunwoo Jun in your life. Happy New Year. :-)

Lol. XD Toxic person for Rara in your opinion. But from the looks of the drama, he’s the perfect person for Rara. He’s just the right amount of caring and uncomplicated person (minus the leukemia thing which is not something he could predict) that will support Rara to grow and be her usual bubbly, and sunny self.
Let’s just accept the fact that different people deal with problems differently. And that not liking how they deal with it means they don’t fit your standard but they might fit the person they’re doing it for. People or characters are never cut from the same mold, otherwise they/or we would all be the same boring cliches. :D
I’m just on ep 4 and I can see the chemistry between Bai Lu and Xu Kai. But seriously this is like Love Better than Immortality. But the “righteous sect” is more devious and have weirder reasoning by like 2x than that in LBTI. And Bai Lu’s character is starting to be a Mary Sue.
Would you do that to someone you love? It still makes no sense. It's very selfish and stupid.
As Sunwoo Jun yes I would. If I were Rara I’d prefer this actually. Rather than get him back immediately after treatment and see him try to live a normal life and then still succumb to the sickness after 3 years.
I think the key here is not to think that there’s only one path, that there is only one correct way to do it. We are unique individuals with diff values, characteristics, and how we deal with things and we shouldn’t impose it on everyone and come off very authoritarian. In this case that’s Sunwoo Jun’s decision.
Just finished the drama and I’m pleasantly surprised with Timmy Xu since this is the first drama I saw him in. Yang Chao Yue has better chemistry with Timmy Xu than Xu Kai Cheng in Dance if the Phoenix. Hope YCY and TX had more screen time and romantic scenes. I’m also curious to see Timmy Xu in period/wuxia drama because he’s good looking in modern drama.
Am I the only one who LOVED the ending and thinks that it is very in character for Sunwoo? I mean it was hinted…
ENDING IS SOMETHING SUNWOO WOULD DO Sunwoo, when coming home to Rara would always stop in front of the school, to tidy up, wipe his sweat, or make himself presentable first before seeing Rara. And him wanting to be in his best form after an illness even if it took 5 years is him being his old self where he never wanted to show Rara his less than “presentable” self. Internally, as much as possible he never wanted to worry Rara, so whatever problems they had, he usually tried to solve on his own first before letting Rara deal with the result. —when he saw Rara at the wedding he didn’t let on that he knew Rara because he felt like he wasn’t in his best form at that time and this is why he also lied about his age —When paying for the hospital bills, he never let Rara know that he didn’t have the means to pay for the bill, instead he just worked his ass off, —when Rara said it would be better if his shop had two rooms so she can stay he did the construction on his own —when he rescued Rara he immediately rushed to the scene to do what he can forgetting to call for backup or informing the others, etc.
Sunwoo wanting to confirm that he’s fully recovered before showing himself is so in character that he didn’t want to give Rara false hope or worry her if it didn’t work (same as not telling her his sickness) so he had to be sure first before coming back.
And Rara also deals with grief in a one time big time way (ex. Death of her dad, loss or her company, etc) where she grieves to the max in a short period of time and then tries to move on after. So Sunwoo knew that Rara would prefer this ending deep inside.
Personally, If I was in Rara’s shoes I’d prefer this ending because at least the suffering and grief is a one time big time thing than I get a miracle at the end. Rather than suffer the last days with Sunwoo both of us worrying and being sad about everything that’s happening.
Am I the only one who LOVED the ending and thinks that it is very in character for Sunwoo? I mean it was hinted in the earlier episodes what the little child prodigy noticed and I love that the story just went on a full arc...
Seriously..I got bored after few episodes. I am watching it while playing a game. Usually I don't do that. And…
Edit: General’s Lady definitely won over Overlord for me as a person who looks for romance in Romance Dramas. GL have better distribution of romantic scenes while still making it plausible, while in Overlord it’s like the last 1/3 of the series was the actual Romance drama and the first 2/3 was the fillers put together.
The overall plot and acting is okay and Leon Lai and Bai Lu have chemistry. But I want to confirm if the writer or producers have some kind of allergy to romance or maybe they forgot this is a romance drama? Because the truly romantic interaction between the FL/ML only started in ep 26/27. I felt like Eternal Love Rain (from iQiyi also and have 24 eps) have more romantic scenes between the leads than the romantic scenes in Overlord combined.
The voice of the FL is terrible. So nasally. I really wish they wouldn't over dub the actors voices. It kinda…
In what world does everyone have the same low, bedroom voice? I feel bad for people who are predominantly high pitched and/or loud. They probably did not chose to have that voice, they just have it naturally. And I think it’s normal for the voice to go a pitch higher if you are excited or happy, and Yin Yin’s character is most of the time happy and excited. Her voice does go down in pitch in the dramatic and more mellow scenes.
But then I guess if you want the same static, perfect voice, just watch/listen to the voices of Zhang Zhe Han in Ruyi and Leon Yi in overlord and some other 2020 ML because a lot of them used the same voice actor.
Camille Hua!!! I love her so much from Love & The Emperor. She is super cute! Gonna give this drama a chance for…
Me too! I love that she can pull off the cute and earnest character even if she’s not the prettiest C actress out there. I hope she gets more period dramas. If with Wang Run Ze, they can practice more on their romantic scenes together. XD
Everyone complaining about her voice: that's her real voice, you know. You all complain about characters being…
I agree completely. It’s not as if it’s our fault our voice gets high pitched when we speak excitedly. Lol.
Btw I just remembered AvenueX’s review of the voice dubber for 2020 ML and almost everyone had the same voice actor even Zhang Zhe Han in Ruyi and Leon Lai in Overlord.
Its been a while since I saw The romance och Tiger and Rose (which I overall like, as I remembered) so I don't…
The FL not getting hurt in TROTAR is not because the ML is not serious in hurting her but because he has more incompetent subordinates/assassins and also because of the FL’s luck given by the writer.
So the fact that both ML in TROTAR and My Dear Destiny still wants to kill the FL in the beginning still stands.
I think Luo Ao’s main fault here is that he’s not as attentive to his love and doesn’t believe the FL’s love as you’d expect an ML to be? That’s why he couldn’t process that he’s also at fault for what happened in the West Wing even if he didn’t order the hit.
I like the show, I just wish they would have played up more of the gaming aspects. It's like the show forgot.…
Theoretically, for regular otome game you would be choosing the “correct” options. But since it’s VR and very immersive, I imagine it was hard for Li Xia to continuously choose the correct option. Besides there are no options presented in game, so I guess the result will depend on the “players” character.
Damn.I wish the drama is longer..the ending is kinda rush..i really love tehy will explain hoe he come back and…
Where did you watch all 24 eps? I have the iQiyi VIP app but they only upload 2 eps with eng sub mon to fri. Expecting ep 14 and 16 tonight.
Btw I kinda expected low budget for this drama for iqiyi because only A-listers like Bai Lu and Ju Jing Yi get good budget and more episodes. But it’s ok with me since this drama have the same fluffy vibe as my fantastic mr. right and lovely swords girl. I like the chemistry.
