As I mentioned in my review,

Watching this drama was quite a journey—one filled with emotional highs, frustrating lows, and countless tear-jerking moments—but ultimately, it was a rewarding experience. Despite its flaws, the performances and romance kept me invested until the very end. The conclusion was not a fairytale ending, but I was not disappointed. It struck a balance between realism and hope, aligning with my cautiously optimistic wish for the main couple’s fate. It provided enough closure to feel satisfying without being overly idealistic. In a story that explored trauma, love, and resilience, this ending felt appropriate.

Excellent performances by the leads and the supporting characters.

That makes sense! At this point I dislike the Li family more but the way the Wu family is manipulating the leads, I hate it!

What the heck Choi Hwan, you were doing so well scoring points left and right, and then you had to put your foot in your mouth! What kind of proposal was that??

Urgh, I hope Hwari doesn’t get attracted to her cousin’s crush. It’s already bad enough for the cousin, let’s not make it worse.

I am also rooting for the Crown Prince and his wife but then this girl got introduced 😔 I hope that he doesn’t cheat.

Only the young newly married couple are truly happy for now. At least they make me smile!

Yeah I was thinking that it was too thick but the demeanor reminds me of her. I also thought maybe it was the Wu family leader but why would he use a mask when the Hai guy is already on their side. Anyway we shall see…

Ah, episode 16 gave me some hope for the good guys. As I mentioned before, the storyline is harsh in its treatment of its characters, offering no protective plot armor to spare them from suffering.

I don't know why, but somehow, the man behind the mask reminds me of the Empress.

He needs to tell her the truth.
The previews show that he was trying to tell her something about his condition so hopefully that will happen tomorrow

Yeah, if they really follow the epilogue of the novel, I am guessing he won't...

Yup, it was ironic when he got upset asking why she didn't tell him about her illness etc....

Title Love Scout
I think it's hard to give Eun Ho character development because, outside of being a good secretary and a good father,…
You're spot on! That's how I felt about the ML, that despite being such a green flag character, there was something lacking. As you said, he was not as multi-faceted as Ji Yun.

Much like the male lead, this show is nearly flawless—there’s little to criticize. Yet at the same time, something is missing, something that doesn't quite hit the spot.

I wish there had been more character development for Eun Ho—perhaps a deeper exploration of his journey in overcoming his trauma and his growth alongside Ji Yun. Perhaps the show's main focus is on Ji Yun and her life journey, but Eun Ho played a significant role, so I feel that it should have been more balanced.

Still, I really enjoyed this drama - the characters, their storylines, the romance, the OSTs, the outfits (Ji Yun slayed in hers), and most of all, the ending. Everything was wrapped up nicely including punishment for one villain and redemption for the other one.

Every time he says Ran Ran my heartbeat seems to skip a beat. I also rewind it to listen to it again. 😭🤣
That's what I thought - it was the same voice as in Hidden Love but I wasn't sure since many actors tend to use the same voice actors.

For me. it's both! I enjoy watching him aesthetically speaking and also his characters, even the werewolf one :D
In this drama, you will have plenty of opportunities to appreciate his fine face and, occasionally his physique...lol

I don't know if it is CZY's real voice, but whoever it is, he is good. The tone and inflection are great!

I like the way Li Zan utters "RanRan"—the depth of emotion woven into those two simple syllables.

Episodes 31 and 32 were lovely, but given all the comments, they felt like fleeting moments of happiness. I had a lingering feeling of something still being suppressed.

For now, I'll enjoy watching the characters relish the peaceful time in the eastern country and hope that the drama will end on a positive note, an ending that affirms the possibility of true healing—a reminder that even after the storm, light can still break through.

So true. Plus we saw a lot of why Song Ran ended up being how she was but less about Li Zan. I wish they show some of his life pregression that led him to be so afraid to show vulnerability.

I wish the novel writer (because it seems like the show is a very close adaption of it) would provide more insight into Li Zan's background. Why he has to bottle everything up and not burden anyone. Maybe I missed it but I do not remember any particular reason. Unlike Song Ran where we know her defense mechanism was because of her split family and her mother's unreasonable expectations of her.

most people don’t realize how suffocating it is to be in song ran’s shoes. she has enough on her plate, and…
At first, I saw Song Ran as too self-absorbed to notice that Li Zan was suffering as well. But upon reflection, I realized she couldn't be blamed—how could she have known when he was never honest with her? She had unburdened herself to him, so it was only natural for her to expect the same in return, especially given how much they had shared about their hopes and dreams for the future.

Her anger upon discovering his return to the Eastern country was entirely justified. Anyone would be upset about being kept in the dark about something so significant, especially when it put everything they had vowed to each other at risk. What was the value of their promises if he was willing to leave for such a dangerous place without telling her?

That said, I thought Song Ran’s mother gave invaluable advice—Song Ran had never even thought to ask Li Zan properly about how he was doing. As you pointed out, the heart of their conflict was a fundamental lack of communication.

The text was her lashing out in anger and what I didn't understand was why Li Zan chose to just leave it. He was so patient to deal with Jiang Yu's angry outburst but unwilling to try harder with Song Ran. Probably because he was in noble idiocy mode, and thought that it was better for her that way.

Every actor should explore a variety of roles. Liang Jie is a talented comedic actress—her performance in *The…
I agree that LJ is a great comedic actress and it is certainly more challenging with emphasis on delivery and timing. LJ has played melodramatic roles like in You Are My Destiny, and I feel like that she definitely got better in this current role.
I have not read the novel but I did get the sense the novel writer focused mostly on the romance and the human emotions, less on quality writing and researching what's believable.
The actors are carrying this show, and to be honest, its current rating of 8.3 is decent given that the acting and probably the OSTs are the good parts about this show.
