can you spoil? I never watched the Korean version.
The ML was actually the one who was kidnapped with the FL. He went through all that trauma and is still suffering PTSD from that experience. However, his older brother, out of guilt from leaving the ML alone, suffered a psychotic breakdown and in his mind and memories, he was the kidnapped one. For some reason, I don't remember why but I recall being really annoyed at the parents, they continued to let him live with that lie. Even the ML followed along.
That's why the older brother is always guilt-tripping the ML, thinking that his suffering was because of him, when in reality, it was the opposite.
Now the older brother is going after the FL, and the ML does not want to speak the truth. So there will be a time when the FL thought that the older brother is the "prince" that saved her during that horrible experience. The ML can only watch on the sideline, unable to heal from his trauma.
The good news is that the ML will still win over the FL regardless of all of that, and that's the part I am looking forward to. The Korean version has some really cute romantic scenes.
I don't know - he seemed awfully shy just having her on top of him LOL...well, if he is, then he picked the right wife. LeShan herself said she was the dominant one!
And it gets so much worse, from the previews she finds out he's going back and breaks up with him over text like…
Such a good point! I hate that the FLs tend to get away with everything, after being unreasonable and so mean. I don't know why CDramas like to make their MLs such simps, willing to tolerate everything. I would have been so annoyed at Song Ran if she did not apologize to LiZan after blowing up at him about Jiang Yu, and saying such hurtful things to him.
How can each episode get better and better?! Eps 29 and 30 were so chaotic but so fun and extra heartwarming in ep 30. I adore the whole family, and the support and love they have for each other. Brothers-in-law hazing the newest was one of the best scenes.
I love Le Shan but she does need to be tempered a bit. Mama Li was indeed wise and reasonable, and I am glad that Yang Xian was touched by her.
Even though the writing is bad, I can understand why CZY and LJ took on these roles. They are expanding the limits of their acting skills and they are delivering! I am so impressed with both of them and how they are tackling the emotional scenes.
Ep 23 was hard and I feel frustrated for LiZan. His Doctor finally told him to share his emotional burdens with SR, and he was almost there. But I don't think he's going to do that now with SR taking center stage again with her mom. There is no blame here, just a series of unfortunate events.
I had to stop watching ep 24 because I was starting to get annoyed at the situation - SR relying heavily on LZ, not realizing how much he was holding in, hiding, suffering. Again, it was not her fault, she did not know. Still....I need a break.
JY is being a typical teenager; yelling and screaming about not wanting to see LZ again or cares about what happens…
Mr. L is like the sage of the drama, a sounding board for LZ and SR. It’s funny when Mr. L asked if LZ would entrust SR to him too and LZ said she won’t be interested
Eps 21 & 22 felt like the calm before the storm for our couple. We are getting the cute and sweet moments now before LiZan implodes. Worse is that everyone is hiding things from each other includig the leads.
On the side, SR's mother may seem harsh but she comes from a good place, trying to protect SR. I hope her outcome will be a good one. Jiang Yu retreating behind an angry protective wall, even though he really wanted to stay close to Li Zan. Maybe he will be someone who can reach Li Zan if LZ evers retreats into a self-sacrificing, self-blame mode.
What a mess in the end! It's not good when my interest waned as the show approached its supposed climax, and it is worse when the lead, in this case, the FL acted more recklessly out of desperation instead of being clever. It is too bad because I was enjoying the show until ep 12, and then by ep 14, hoping that the last two episodes would redeem the drama. They didn't for the most part. There were a couple of good thing s like the outcome of the However gang and a ending for the couple. It would be a 7.5 had it not been for these two things plus the fact that the majority of the episodes were pretty good. So it is an 8 for me.
Yeah - it's like killing at least two birds with one stone. Since she really doesn't know anything and cannot do damage for now. She's a great herring for those pompous immortals and also Su Yu.
After the brilliant recap in episode 8, episodes 9 and 10 almost felt too slow. I'm not really complaining since I like how SYS planned out each step, including dealing with Mu Ranwu and Wei Jiu and preparing a backstory for RanRan. It will be so angsty because his plan is deceiving RanRan more. I cannot wait for Mu Ranwu to realize how badly she was scammed along with everyone else by SYS!
So much to appreciate in Ep 28, but I loved the scene when everyone gathered for Le Shan's bridal send-off. The show positioned the sons-in-law well, with the two older, more mature SILs in the back, watching and monitoring while the two younger ones were giving the husband a hard time...It didn't matter that DYX had the higher more dignified position, he was still the junior having fun with Fan Liang Han.
