Such a refreshing change - instead of seeing the MDL rating super low, with people down voting unaired episodes, we now have the opposite. Which is not ideal, of course but it's nice to share comments with people enjoying the show.
Ep 8 was so well-done! Nicely wrapping up the background story from eps 1-7, and setting up for present.
The show is setting us up for a lot of angst though - a ML who cannot feel emotions because he needs to save and protect the FL. How are they going to end up together? 😭😭😭

I think love never crossed her mind. For her, the spring spirit is the problem, and she needs to take it away from SYS and everyone no matter what. So it is not just SYS she is focused on. I agree though that misunderstandings leading to hate are the expected norms in Xianxia :D
It's annoying when shows keep pitting one sister against the other just for a man. Mu Ranwu is so vile....truly a green tea character. Serves her right but she will be back...
Ep 20 - Like Luo Zhan, I thought Li Zan was rushing into things when it came to going back to the East Country but his explanation was so heart-felt and touching.
Li Zan's description of what he was going through is how I feel when I watch this show....Everything seems ok superficially but underlying it all there is a ticking time bomb that can go off anytime. The romance is fluffy and sweet but I cannot relax while watching this show.
I just wish he would share more with Song Ran; I understand he does not want to burden her and he is not sure how she feels about going back but still...

Agree...If only he talked to Luo Zhan first who managed to put things into perspective most of the time. Unfortunately Li zan remained in victim/self-blame mode. Li Zan still hiding his pain from Song Ran is unhealthy.
Ep 19 - Like the doctor, I also wondered why Li Zan needed to lie to Song Ran. She knows about his PTSD. Sigh...he's still hiding a lot of his pain from her.
On the lighter side, Song Ran not wanting to stay at her mother because she didn't want them to not be able.... ;D
