Are you for real? She actually grows up somehow? What changed?
Oh, I thought it has happened but I guess you're right. Even though Li Zan has suffered a lot so far, it was not to the extent that I was expecting with the PTSD.
Ep 12 - starting from 22:56 - one of my favorite scenes so far, and the ost was so fitting. The ending too. I don't care if the writing is terrible because I love the romance ;D
Liang Jie did so well in this episode - her portryal of her trauma, her lonely sadness and desperation, and then the relief at the end. CZY too when he was going through his breakdown.
More quick character development, this time for Song Ran's mother!
I enjoy Song Ran's monologue; it would be nice if we could hear Li Zan's thoughts as well.

It was a quick 180 degree turn for me but she's shown some self-reflection and even told Song Ran that she is still competitive but they are no at least no longer enemies.
Ep 11 - goodness, there's some eye-rolling bad writing but no matter what, certain scenes were heart-wrenching and we now head into the angsty part.. Hang in there Song Ran and Li Zan...
The ML turned up his charm in ep 4...so fun to see the FL having some reaction to him. Jes and Bua are cute together and they have chemistry! Even though it's a bit slapstick, I like the office characters and the ML's sidekick played by Suam Sukhapat is so funny!
Up to episode 10, I’m fully here for the romance and happily suspending disbelief for everything else! It feels like the novel’s writer had the same approach—focusing on the romance and human emotions rather than deep research—so I’m just going with the flow too.
The main couple’s romance is cheesy, but I love every second of it. The OST is a perfect match, setting the mood beautifully. No surprise, my favorite character so far is Li Zan—there’s just something about his emotional depth that draws me in. I can’t help but wonder why he smiles so much and what he might be hiding. He seems to have some past trauma, but I feel like the loss of his friend (mentioned in the synopsis) hasn’t happened yet.
I also really like Song Ran—she’s bold and plucky when it comes to work but turns shy, timid, and adorably awkward around Li Zan. Their dynamic is lovely, moving at their own pace as they get to know each other, and it gives me that classic "butterflies in the stomach" feeling.
Urgh, now they have to have that delulu third-party boss pop up. She does not really care about Li Zan, just that she cannot lose. Yay, Song Ran - I loved how you so calmly scoffed at her!
I enjoyed the debate in front of the emperor and the empress dowager...The way DYX took the lead and opportuniy that ShouHua created for him....he owes everything to his beloved wife!
Heh! Our next future son-in-law and even the emperor looked so disgruntled when they lost the argument 😆
By the way, I like the cameos - Joseph Zeng, Li Yun Rui, etc
