Well, honestly, he brought her to his hometown. There was no way she wouldn't find out who he was. He wasn't being very low key in his prince role by that point either. As for him not figuring out BFX, her brother explained it pretty well. He can't see things objectively with her. His own emotions are getting in the way. Instead of trying to figure out what her connection is with Xieyun, he just gets jealous and worries. Though honestly, I feel like she's not even trying to hide it anymore. She's just waiting for him to figure it out on his own. 😆

I'll expect this to end the way all c-dramas do: in a rushed manner. I cannot fathom why they never learn, instead of cutting out unnecessary stuff in the middle, they always opt for rushing the ending. It could still be a well-executed ending. But I'm not gonna get my hopes up.

I think another thing that bothers people is that they were expecting a wuxia drama. And it's not, it just has a few wuxia elements, but in the end it's not a wuxia drama. Of course all the politics is gonna bug you if that's what you wanted and expected. I like the balance they've had between the romance, wuxia and politics. I would have liked to see a bit more wuxia tbh, but since I'm enjoying the drama anyhow I'm not gonna complain. 😄

I'm gonna support your comments here. I almost feel weird here nowadays (well I probably am 😆 cause I actually like the political parts, and don't mind that they're focusing on ML. I love BFX, but the truth is they they haven't had any good reason to show much of her background, or visit Qingzhou. The way the show is written there's just no drama/conflict going on there. As you point out, she's not interested in getting involved in the political struggles, and would probably have kept staying away from it all if she hadn't gotten so involved with HFX. She doesn't appear to go home unless she has to, either, so unless something happens, she's just gonna keep roaming the jianghu. I can understand a lot of novel readers being disappointed, since BFX seem to have been the main person there. But as a drama viewer, at least for me, it doesn't bother me that they've focused more on the politics and HFX storyline.

No shortsightedness here, he thinks far ahead. Smart really. Using Huang Chao, allowing him to first take power. He'll definitely have a lot of influence in his court. And at the same time he's clever enough to orchestrate his downfall behind the scenes, all without having to let the world see his ugly face, he can just keep on maintaining the image everyone has of him as being a good guy, that way people won't be against him if he one day decides to take power. Healthy is the right word. This is why I like the romance of this drama. Everyone is acting like adults rather than teenagers, and no unnecessary drama or misunderstandings.

Oh, I'm all for that as well. 😁 It's just I think they might not need that sort of thing to happen to "confirm" their relationship.
