It's definitely true love if he's willing to cook THAT much food for her LOL and the name of the restaurant is a combination of their names 😍 and finally a good flashback of how they met when they were young.

That was a tough farewell between BFX and HFX.... 💔 But seriously the pacing for this romance is just right. And while they both may realize their feelings for one another, they're still being realistic about it. Now isn't the time for a romantic relationship.

And the political part is really getting interesting. Pretty good balance between romance, politics and martial arts in this series so far. Hope they can keep it up all the way.

This Queen. 😡 Her treatment and manipulation of her eldest son makes my stomach turn. He was so happy to receive a baozi from her 😭 or maybe it was the realization that this was all the so called "love" he was gonna get from her: a baozi with shrimp that he can't even eat.... Man he's such a tragic character. I really don't want him and Lanxi to turn against each other. He's not blind to her manipulations at least.

I got all dizzy from watching the scene with the leaves 😵

Episode 13:
Well that was quickly over with. Took like 2 minutes for BFX to connect the dots and figure out that FLX and HFX were the same person. I love it. No need to drag it out, since the audience already know. Let's see how long it takes for them to reveal her true identity instead.

From what I understand they're in a bit of an economic pinch, that's why they're doing it this way. They're not allowed to have the fast track option anymore, so they need to make money in other ways. IQIYI is one of the cheaper ones out there, so I think it's worth it. And I've never had the patience to wait for the free episodes release anyway 😆

Yeah, I think the regulation came sometime in September if I remember correctly. I don't really mind, it's good for me to not be able to binge watch too much 😅😆

I can see why everyone thinks she's annoying, but it hasn't bothered me at all. I've sort of enjoyed her and Erlang's scenes. Until now that is. The moment she showed up and disturbed Baili Hongyi's plan in ep 20 even I went 😩🤦🏼‍♀️ she needs a severe lesson taught. It's okay to be a loving and supporting wife. But it is not okay to put both yourself and everyone else in danger for it. I agree with @PeachBlossomGoddess, I love Song Yi, which makes it a lot easier to put up with Liu Ran. But if they don't rail her in and change her character a little, then it's gonna be hard to forgive even that. 😓

Thank you for this comment. It really is a balanced view on their relationship, and on Liu Ram's character. I don't get all the hate she gets. I mean sure, she isn't as amazing as Wu Siyue, but she's a good complement to Erlang, which is her role in all of this. She's there to warm up his apparent cold personality. And as pointed out, someone from his social class wouldn't have been able to avoid getting married. Had he married anyone but her he would most likely have ended up in a miserably cold and loveless marriage (since I don't see anyone else but Liu Ran being willing to put in the effort that it takes to warm him up and make that marriage work.)

I was also thinking that Prince Ji should be Wu Sansi, considering that scene. But honestly, I have trouble keeping track on how everyone is related this time around. It's one thing knowing which family they're from, that's easy. But exactly what their relationship is to each other is still a bit unclear to me at times 😅 are both prince Ji and Wu Youjie nephews of the empress?

Yeah, I know who's good and bad is very relative. I suppose I put Li Longji more in the "good" camp since emperor Xuanzong could be considered a successful emperor, Tang dynasty reaching it's pinnacle during his reign and all (though it didn't end that well).
