The Empress, she's Tan'er from s1!!The Tan'er who vanished end s1, and wasn't a part of s2, which had the Tan'er…
Interesting thought about the twins there. It is interesting overall that the older brother as well as Taner's older sister are different people than from the previous seasons. Wonder if we'll get an explanation for that as well. I mean, Fourteenth is still there, and still Fourteenth as Tan'er points out. But the oldest were replaced. This universe is very different from the previous ones even without taking into consideration that it's run by the women.

Starting to make sense actually. S1 Cheng Cheng marged with S2 MLC, becoming one. But S2 Tan'er was from a a timeline before. If the empress is the Tan'er from S1, and she megres with S2/3 Tan'er, than just like Cheng Cheng they can become one. Except, what about S3 MLC? Another merging? And pity to all the older brothers who keep loving the Tan'er that gets eradicated every time Xiao Tan takes over. When will they catch a break?

Speaking of ripple effect throughout the other universes. Maybe they'll merge all of the parallel universes by the end of this one and put a stop to this whole confusing business xD Whatever happens can this seasons big brother PLEASE have a happy ending? My heart won't be able to handle a sad ending for Fang Yilun's character. He's way to sweet.

She reminds me more of the one from the spirit land, the one who was sort of evil. At least that's who I thought of when I saw her. But in the end I suppose they're all the same. And yet not. It's so confusing xD but yeah, since the two MLC's merged with each other last season, I'd expect something like that this season for Tan'er. This season is like a mix of the previous 2 but with a backwards twist.
I think a lot of the complaints are founded in the fact that Li Changge is so different from how people are used…
True, Reba makes good use of body language, and has expressive eyes. While I didn't read the manhua until I had started the drama, but I think Reba portrayed the Li Changge of the manhua really good. I guess those who are complaining haven't read the manhua either.
I'm reading several comments on Reba's acting and Changge's lack of reactions/emotions. I think people here are…
I think a lot of the complaints are founded in the fact that Li Changge is so different from how people are used to seeing the FL. C-drama makes use of emotional outbursts so much that it's what people are expecting, especially in emotionally trying situations. But that's not how Li Changge is written. Her personality isn't prone to emotional outbursts, she tries to deal with things more rationally. Ironically enough this is one of the reasons I love Li Changge, cause I can recognize myself in her. I'm not an emotional person, so I have a hard time relating to all the female characters who break down in tears over every single thing. Not that I think it's wrong, I can totally understand, it's just that since I'm not that sort of person I can't really relate to them. But the scenes where Reba got to unleash those emotional expressions she performed well. All of this will also apply to when it comes to showing affection, it is done more carefully and constrained than people would like.
Does anyone want to convince me not to drop this? I watched up to episode 9 and skimmed through a few more episodes…
I was hooked from episode one, and never felt it to be draggy at any point. While I could argue a lot for why this series is amazing, I'm not sure it'll help if you still don't find it interesting by episode 9 xD some would argue that there is a lot of action going on around episode 13/14, if you're willing to hold out til then. But this isn't an action driven series, it works more with character and story. Maybe some feel that to be draggy.
Great analysis! Sun is the best archer in the grassland, so he could have shot her again if he missed a critical…
Oh yes! And how mommy pretended to be a man for quite some time and became "brothers" with daddy Only to later find out that he knew almost all along who she was xD I also imagyine Sun commenting: "your mom was so reckless back then, I had to rescue her multiple times." Enter uncle Mujin, who will then proceed to tell them about all the reckless stuff A'Sun did, both before and after meeting Changge. Ah what a happy family picture. I wanna sit in and listen xD
I was super surprised when I first heard a song from him as well to find out that it was a guy. It took me a long time to adjust my ears and mind to stop thinking about him as a girl xD But now I can recognize his voice instantly. Watching him in last years 歌手"Singer" probably helped. He's a funny guy. He's done so many OST songs lately it's almost ridiculous. Almost every series I've started this year has a song sung by him xD not that I mind. TLB's Cocoon is a real favorite, as well as Together from The Sword and the brocade, and most lately Exchange from Miss Crow with Mister Lizard.
Hao Du like Leyan, Leyan like Shuyu, Shuyu like Changge, Change like Sun, Sun like Changge. Leyan like Hao Du…
Shiba didn't really friendzone Xu Feng. It's just that for a very long time the only thing she ever heard Sun and Changge call each other was "friends". She just takes after their example xD
