Ah yes. I've been recommended that one before. We'll see if I ever get around to watching it. Both long and more than 10 years old. But who knows? If I have absolutely nothing else to watch, why not?
Episode 18: I understand HFX completely, I would be suspicious towards eating chicken feet to π₯΄ but those two are really too funny together π
Lanxi wearing that coat with fur reminds me of Changsu in Nirvana in Fire π
Best relationship in this series next after HFX x BFX is between Lanxi and big brother. These two are breaking my heart.... π I was so shocked when Feng Chang fell to the ground. I was not expecting it to go so badly for him. But FLX turning the tables on Feng Ju, having a backup plan of his own was sooo good. Feng Ju on the other hand π€¦πΌββοΈ
Today's episodes were awesome! This series actually keeps getting better. Now we just have to wait until Sunday π«

Thanks. I'm pretty acquainted with Chinese history, having studied Chinese for years. I love history! That's one of the reasons I've looked forward to Longxi. Haven't seen any drama which depicts the this period precisely, just the period that leads up to it (the establishment of the 3 kingdoms that is), so it's gonna be interesting. I'll probably go read on Wikipedia a lot about different stuff during the shows run, I always end up doing that with shows that are more grounded in real history. π
Friends! A new Chinese Historical Drama starts on air tonight on iQiyi, called "The Wind Blows from Longxi". The…
Thank heavens there's another (hopefully) good drama coming. The waiting is awful, even if they just shortened it with one day. Been looking forward to The wind blows from Longxi, I hope it can live up to our expectations.
Episode 17: Wow. I was so happy Feng Chang decided to say no to his good-for-nothing mother. Only to have all hope be put out 2 seconds later. π But for some reason, it felt good that they both stopped pretending. She finally showed her true ugly self. I was honestly a hit surprised that he was able to hold back and not try to kill her himself on the spot.... That was such an intense scene and they both acted it out very well if I may say so. ππ» But I'm not looking forward to seeing how things end up between Lanxi and Chang. I can't bear the heartbreak that seems to be coming π’
And this princess Chunran seems awesome! I like her already.
Overall a very good episode. Plot is moving forward, and getting more interesting. And love every moment with our CP π
Yeps.... me too.... Hei Fengxi/Lanxi had me from the first word. Bian Jiang really has a sexy beast of a voice.
You know what, I've recently realized I feel the same way. Bian Jiang is a fantastic voice actor, he has such emotion in his performance. I'm not sure Yang Yang could have done a better job himself π
i dropped this drama because the plot just feels like every wuxia drama ever with the whole multiple identities.…
That really is too bad. I can agree somewhat about the fighting, it's not that special, but I still like it. Slow-burn romance however is the best for me (when done right), cause it feels more natural and not so forced. And this CP is π and I also enjoy the political part of the show. I hope there's something else out there for you.
I thought the king of Yong zhou would be smart (Just like the emperor from Joy of Life). Looks like he is just…
While I don't like the king, I can see that he has his reasons for acting the way he does. There's a lot of fighting going on between the 6 states, for Yongzhou to survive they need to keep their own house in order. While we may say that it's better to get rid of the Queen and Feng Ju, that's not how he sees it. Yes, he's being emotional about it, but there's some logical reasoning behind it too. Since he's not ready to give up his own power then he thinks it's best too not support one or the other side too much and have a balance in court. And although he does seems to prefer Feng Ju, he's also trying to be fair to Lanxi, and he seems so have noticed his potential. I'm guessing the Queen and her son have quite some influence in the court as well, while Lanxi had none up until recently. So it's probably not gonna be that smooth to simply remove them either.
Hi all:) I plan to start this when it lands on Netflix. Could you tell me what's the general feel so far? Fast-paced…
It's a pretty good mix so far, feels well-balanced between the martial arts, romance and political parts. If you're into wuxia you should like it. The pacing overall is good up until episode 14 at least. CP are ππ»π no plot holes so far that I can think of. But we haven't even gone halfway yet so.
Some folks weren't happy about how BFX found out about HFX's other identity; but I think all things considered,…
I'm in the other camp, there was no need to drag it any further. BFX is a smart person, connecting those dots was not hard, and paying a visit to confirm the connection was the most logical thing to do. Don't really know what else was needed? They're also close enough friends to not make a big deal out of it.
VPN and Netflix aren't always buddies. But I'm in Taiwan and they have up til episode 12 available. Seems they'll be releasing 6 episodes every Saturday.
