^This is it. He's just such a kind person, right from the get-go when he lands in the world, and he stays a kind person right through to the end who puts others over himself not because he doesn't value himself or care about himself (he wants to be happy too, and if no one else was in danger he wouldn't rush into danger himself if he could live comfortably instead) but just because he values other people /more/. It is his greatest strength, ultimately, the fact that he never loses the care or the warmth he has for other human beings, no matter how much he may fight them or punish them for what they did or are doing. I respect him so much for it.

Yeah it was a super rapid descent for him— “you didn’t appreciate me enough so I will kill you” 🥶 Crazy dude and crazy entitled 🥶 I’m used to seeing that for bitter half siblings killing their family but not full siblings and generally only bitter half brothers or sisters who were actually treated badly 😂 XKY was so cruel to people who were so kind to him 😤

As viewers we can only give him his deserved happy ending through fanfiction 😂😂 I wouldn’t want to change anything that happened as I feel it would cheapen the journey if some backspaces of an author could erase it, but I would definitely say the white robed XQS going off into the light was XMM’s soul returning to his body, and XQS’s soul then resumed full control of his body (which he’s been sharing with XMM up to this point) and XMM’s soul journeys back and also woke up if I were giving them my happy ending 😂😂😂

Like Harrison Ford, every actor loves a good death scene 🤣

(Lolllllll I know though, right? He dies so well, but leaves me traumatized ;-; I am keeping my fingers crossed for a happy ending for the new series he's filming now, Liang Jing Shi Wu Ri (Fifteen Days to the Capital). 🙏(He has had one though, he gets a happy ending in Love and Redemption as well 🤣)

In terms of the characters I cared about: Crazy Yan, Xiao Xueyu, Xiao Qiu Shiu, Li Chen Zhou, Zhao Shi Rong, and strongly-implied Xiao Ming Ming also. About 50% of the Power Gang also winds up dead, but Liu Sui Feng and Red Phoenix don't.

His smile is so evil-looking despite how he's actually an upstandingly nice person here 😂 And yes, when they didn't show us the Parents and just cut to that 10-min grieving scene, I was waiting too for them to show up again because they never showed us bodies ;-; but alas indeed. Looking back, I wonder if XKY went a tiny bit crazy after he murdered his mother in a Qi possessed/obsession-possessed kind of way, and maybe the obsession's why he acts like a total psycho? Cuz something definitely seemed to be happening when XQS played the Qin at the end and he cried when he saw all those visions of everything he wanted in life playing out. But by then after what he did to his sister I didn't care too much why he was a psycho anymore, I just wanted him dead ;-; 😂😂

Right? I keep coming back to this page too even after the show's been over so long ;-; a whole 3 weeks now already ;-;

I got a feeling it's because I liked XQS/XMM so much. Like, LCZ was technically cooler cuz he had the rock-solid confidence + the aura of power + the relationship with his wife that I loved so much, but XMM/XQS are the ones I actually liked as human beings.

Like, you take it for granted that the hero is going to Do The Right Thing and be Into Righteousness so that's expected, they don't gain points for saving/trying to save people or speechifying (they'd just lose points for not trying to save randoms if they didn't do that), but then there were things like the "I guess I'll try and be a good bro since you're calling me that and I'm in XQS's body and I wouldn't like to let the dude whose body I've hijacked down" and that little rock thing he gave TF after TR died, and that talk of basically he has no idea what happens to you after you die but maybe there's some kinda afterlife maybe? which is what most people do talk about when someone close to them just died if they're not solidly religious and was probably the point in the drama where I started liking TF too, or the chatting about how much you hate your crap boss behind their back and you're soooo close to saying to their face (lol), or even just the way he was so happy to see his mom again and be fussed over by her at his age (same honestly) and was like, y'know what, even if this is a dream who cares, let's do this, a good dream beats a crap reality (escapism for the win). And the shortcuts, lol. Let's try the cheats first and only do it the fair way if we gotta, so relatable. He's just such a nice, laidback, low-stress person, and he has such a warm heart with room for so many people in it, and he's got a way of making nice more attractive than evil which is a feat cuz usually the bad guys or the Mr Darcy types are my favorite, but he's a total Bingley, albeit one who can fight amazingly XD The ending is so bittersweet since the characters made me care for them despite the plot technically being a hot mess 🤣 Like, it's almost like the question of 'what is the meaning of life'/'did you strive for what you wanted in a way you could live with, and can you die without regrets'? < For this, though they did it in their different principles & ways & alignments, all 3 of XMM, XQS, and LCZ can answer yes. While meanwhile, LN and XKY, though they got all the wealth and power they wanted, can only answer "no."

You gotta wonder with R, was the emperor another optional role for LN he could have levelled up into by completing his own evil main quest, thereby gaining the option to make life hell for a XMM lookalike till they died and then rule happily forever with a ton of power and wealth that he just never unlocked, same as how XMM never unlocked a second role, because LN/XKY was too busy lazily taking shortcuts and randomly murdering people for the crime of having better book fates than his? idk because we never find out anything ;-; Which fits with XMM's mindset of 'it's not why we're in this world that matters, it's what we do since we are', and XKY/LN's mindset of 'We're in a novel anyway so no one's real, therefore nothing matters except myself, the people I like, and maybe that 1 other person I hate but who I know is also a human being teleported into the book like me, I'd like to rub it in his face how much better I'm doing at Life than he is' but still... so many questions ;-; XD

iQIYI is the only legal site as far as I know. Depending where you live you can get a relatively cheap monthly trial, but the first 5-6 eps are free anyway so you can watch them on iQIYI even without a subscription and see if the show is one you’re enjoying and then only worry about where to watch the rest if you are enjoying it 😀

I relate to there being a shortage of sites to watch this one. The only reason I subscribed to iQIYI was for this drama, they were smart not to share this one 😂 Before I bit the billet and went for the year long membership though, they were pretty nice about giving a cheap month long VIP trial period for 1.99 for every new email 👀 What goes wrong with iQIYI for you, or just mainly looking for free sites?
