We will find out when it airs 🎉 (If you do look up the plot, pls don't spoil me if you don't mind, as I enjoy letting the plot unfold and trying to guess what will happen as I watch the show :D)
Not beyond what's up there already in MDL, as I've not looked up the book/stage play since I don't want to spoil myself. I'm pretty happy deciding "yup" for watching based on the water photos 😂
I hear you but I just think of Happy Camp and that “cover the arrow, the budget extends to 5 seconds only”…
Nahh I didn’t watch the deleted scenes 😅😅 I only heard they deleted some ending ones but that actually sounded like an improvement to me since instead of all problems being solved ultimately by LCZ and XQS, it instead showed all supporting cast were standing up for their own principles now so that that conversation between LCZ and XQS about neither of them being necessary to the martial arts world really lived out. Like, LSF and the rest of the power gang was there to finish what LCZ started, everyone was singing and laughing around that fire without the centre of their world being XQS anymore, reflecting how unlike Ep1 where the story ends with “rule us for 1000 years” as the author he’s like a parent who’s raised his kids/world to be able to leave him/him leave it 😂🥰 So for me I thought it made sense to cut those scenes. (But it’s CY so I’m sure it would have been epic to watch as well even if they kept them too, I can see where you’re coming from!) 😃
My biggest complaint is that they didn't give enough of the two Chengyis on screen. Should've actually been one…
I hear you but I just think of Happy Camp and that “cover the arrow, the budget extends to 5 seconds only” 😆 They would have had to do an insane amount of editing to pull that off or else relied a lot on back and forth over-the-shoulder shots, or “I’m talking but we’re both standing with out backs to each other”. I’m happy with what we got, the ep27 fight was sooooo good and part of that for me was that they’d been so stingy with LCZ that it was the first proper time to see LCZ in action🔥🔥
I want to see this series yesterday based on these photos of them in the water alone 😂 this one can take its place as my most anticipated drama upcoming for now, hope the filming goes well. 🎉
Finally Done watching....for the first time ever,i loved a sad ending & a sad ending made perfect sense of…
I loved it too, it was so beautiful and warming for me to see not just the enemies lose, but also the difference between the start and the end in terms of the martial world's stance on standing against what's wrong vs right, and XQS being the central character (original ep1 outline) vs the world standing up for itself and growing to being able to go on without him, thanks to how he inspired the martial world and how the martial world first inspired him. Even though LCZ and XQS are both gone, the difference they made remains, including their impact on XMM. Whether he lived in the real world or died, he grew so much through his journey and did in such a heartwarming way.
It totally is, but it'll climb in time. The fights and the OST are soooooo good too 🔥🔥🔥
who finally were the siblings of Crazy Yan and did they ( Crazy yan and his siblings), die at the end? Spoil it…
Crazy Yan’s younger brother dies, we never find out who he was just that when he rescued General Wu in the past, he had to pick between following a lead on his missing brother or saving Gen Wu and choose the latter, so by the time he found him, his younger brother had died. It sent him a bit crazy.
His sister is revealed to be XQS’s sister Xueyu, and yes, they died due to the villain towards the end at around ep38-39, SE for them 🥺 They do reunite first though.
As far as I watched (up to ep 27), I don't understand this low rating. Is it because of the ending, or were there…
Based on observing comments over the airing, the ratings are mainly due to a mixed reception of the humor/editing/writing, plus a small minority of haters who 1-starred even the unaired eps just because wayyyyy back on day 1 just to be trolls rather than the ending.
I love the show so I'm biased, mind, but I agree the ratings currently don't reflect how fun it is and how easy the characters are to be attached to, even if it (putting my fair hat on) probablyyyy does reflect the continuity issues of outfit changes and wigs between scenes, so maybe depends what weighting people give to various areas of a show when voting on a score XD
MDL's not so bad though! On IMDB the poor show was 3.3 stars outta 10 for a while there with 400-ish 1-star votes from people who'd 'completed' the show on day 2-3 of its run, so at least here it's not been dragged down by the trolls as much as some other sites XD
They are following the original source, the novel is like that.. they look alike..
It is implied— though never spelled out— that LCZ is the other option XMM could have switched to to complete the System’s quest in, since the quest (redeem LSF) is completed by both, their values (though not methods) are similar, and LCZ’s final line is the “lonely as snow” line. But that’s just my assumption, it’s not spelled out in the narrative as XQS destroyed the System’s GUI and thus lost the ability to ask it questions about it.
Novels readers can u explain something. I was scrolling down the list of actord guest stars etc...so it says julian…
I’ve not read the novel, but given Crazy Yan is not royalty himself, more likely that LCZ is a half brother from a concubine/wife of the previous emperor and illegitimate, is my guess, ala the monk in Blood of Youth. (just guessing though).
