It is slow paced and mostly character driven (which is pretty rare for a revenge drama), so if you generally are not into slow paced series, you may find it boring.
Who cares about half naked people fighting anyways?
(As long as they choose a good director and a good actor to play the father, and a good scriptwriter that will respect the original, I will be happy - so basically they better be careful when they make their choices 😁😁😁)
What I am actually worried about is the music, because I need to hear that instrumental from the first trailer's bed scene. It sounds so great, it better be in the actual series!
If you do check them out, I hope you like them!
I get where you are coming from, but that doesn't mean that you should spoil people that hate spoilers.
We should respect each other equally. As some people want to know trigger warnings because it may traumatize them, others should also not get spoiled if they don't like spoilers.
There are other ways to make such a comment so all parties will be satisfied.
You could just write a comment saying "tw in the spoiler below for anyone interested" and then answer to your own comment tagging it as a spoiler. In that way only the people who want to know about any possible tw will open it.
Besides that though, most MDL users know that if you press "vote or add tags" in the tags there are all the trigger warnings (they are just covered as a spoiler, due to the request of users).
Of course it is awful not to know about something that can trigger you and could end up putting someone in a difficult situation, but still it is fundamental to also respect people who don't want getting spoiled.
It's like the ML of a drama takes his own life in the end and I mention that as a tw. That will make many people not want to watch it, because they will know the ending.
Long story short, there is always a way to respect both parties equally.
To be honest I have no idea if it is similar to the webtoon. I remember reading the first chapter ages ago and I think it was pretty dark, but I could remember wrong.
I hope the rest of the series is worth the watch especially after waiting for so long.
It seems that more and more dramas are following this pattern. First it was penthouse with 3 parts, now we have AoS, Island, The Glory, Poong the Joseon Psychiatrist and there will probably be many more. Not all od them are shown on Netflix.
I feel like you are right partly, but at the same time it feels like this is a new marketing strategy coming straight from Korea and not Netflix.
Maybe this is making them more money, I don't know. It feels a bit stupid to me, because I am sure that many people will probably lose interest or not watch the second part at all if they have to wait for months, but if they do it, then there is probably a financial reason behind it.
