Taiwanese dramas are very unique and they have another way of handling their series releases.
Unfortunately, when it comes to mainland China, due to censorship most series get announced and after they finish filming they have to go through the 'censorship board' that will either allow them to air or not depending on what they portray and how they do it. There are so many series that I have literally been waiting to watch for years and I don't know if they will ever air.
So friendly advice, if you ever watch any Cdrama, don't check the announcements for the upcoming dramas *crying in the corner
I have seen different opinions regarding her actings (some say she is great, some say she is really bad), but I believe you in that one. I hope she os good in this one, because the series sounds interesting.
*Apparently I have seen her in a movie, but I don't remember her at all (that's not a good thing lol)
Or maybe he has done it already in his films and we don't know lol
There are so many after all.
I don't know, I haven't watched it.
Yes, true lol
I have some expectations for The Glory, even though it also has bullying. I hope it will be darker and more fucked up than usual.
I've seen Extracurricular, Class of Lies and Weak Hero and I suppose that Extracurricular is closer to what I am looking for. Class of lies was also pretty good, but second half not so much. Again though there was bullying. Weak Hero is the epitome of a school bullying drama. It was certainly fun though. I just need a school thriller drama that bullying is not involved or a series were kids are the bad guys but not because of bullying.
When I first got into kdramas I remember really liking the depiction of bullying, because I wasn't used to watching it being portrayed on screen like that. But now it has become a bit repetitive.
I get that you may not consider it as a spoiler, and it generally depends on how much a person is willing to know about a series/movie, but in general when there is a mention of the ending most of the times it is a spoiler at least for the people that don't like spoilers.
This is the comment section of the series, that doesn't mean that everyone has finished watching it or should check the comment section only after watching. People can discuss about the series using the spoiler tag or make a general comment about it without any spoilers. If there was no issue witu spoilers, then the spoiler button would simply not exist when writing a comment.
If you have any issues with to tag something as a spoiler in general, you can contact the admins.
You know what I would like? If for once the teens were not the bullies, but some type of morally grey characters, murderers etc or I would like to see some younger actors playing psychos. That would be pretty interesting. I feel like whenever teens are involved the main theme is bullying, which is fine, but I have seen it so many times I got tired of it.
Yeap, there was no actual substance. Directing wise it was great imo, scriptwriting is another thing though.
I hope there will be a continuation too. I think there will be one, as long as the current season gets the attention it should get. The budget seemed high, so I suppose they must have some type of financial gain to make a second season.
I didn't notice tbh. He looked fine as always. What I would like is for him to learn how to fight. It was frustrating to watch him getting beat up time and time again.
You are welcome!
''This will be forgotten quickly'' exactly...
In that scene I was like ''you should start running''. For me the most memorable is the first body-art scene where the fl says ''it is a human''.
Try watching Influence. It has a low budget comparing, but it is pretty dark and based on the psychological aspect of humans.
I agree. I think what made OCN series impactful is the fact that they moustly counted on the disturbing atmposphere and the psychological aspect of the story. This one counts on the gore/CGI aspect and fails to develop an interesting story that will raise some ethical dilemmas or even create a disturbing atmosphere.
I am waiting for Island btw, it looks fun. I hope it is *fingers crossed
Well I can see why
Tbh, I expected it to be a bit more disturbing in the gore aspect. The gore scenes looked video game like. I liked that since it was not as disturbing and as a result it was easier to watch, but I definitely expected something different.
It is pretty creepy, but it's worth it.
If you end up watching it sometime, I hope you like it!
Even though many of the characters act dumb, I don't feel like it is so dumb that I get frustrated when watching.
Btw, needless recommendation, but if you liked strangers from hell, you should watch Hometown. It is very good and has a similar atmosphere.
