It's not really the same case unfortunately.

They could release it internationally theoritically, however they will not really gain anything financially wise, since Cdramas are not too popular outside China. I think they probably don't release it in hopes they will be able to broadcast it at some point and gain money, but for the time being it feels like a far away dream. Since it is censored, I'mnot loosing hope though.

I meant that I don't think iqiyi will get it for most international audiences since Viki has the rights. So it's more likely netflix will get it at some point if it is successful.
Of course there are series that are broadcasted in many platforms, but since it's already on Viki and there are no news for any other platform it will probably only be available there for the time being (at least for some regions like Europe)

Just remembered they promoted the fox one saying they used a specific method or effects for the first time and it ended up looking quite low quality. That's what I remembered by reading the comment. Not that it's the same thing.

I try not to have high expectations for all highly anticipated series. Even though this one looks good in most aspects at least from the trailer and pics/posters, I have been disappointed way too many times in the past, so I try not to hope much. I hope it's good though since I've been waiting for it like most people since it was announced 🤞

I know this is not the exact same case, but last time I heard about one of a kind visuals and new technices was in Fox Spirit Matchmaker (the first one) and I was disappointed, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up.I don't think iqiyi can take it since it's a mango series. And even if they can since Viki has the rights, I don't think they'll get it too. About netflix, I doubt it since it's not available in the "coming soon" section yet. Maybe they'll get it if it becomes a huge success.
