Since the rumor of Thailand broadcasting it is up again, it can be true.I don't get why they're not selling it to an international platform like Netflix though. If they truly buy it we better be able to watch it with subs 🙃

Like always they will probably broadcast one or two highly anticipated ones when other platforms do too.

About the rule, I am still not sure if it will happen at least for series that have already been filmed. It's illogical to invest money to make 30 eps for example and end up cutting everything and broadcast like 14...

I'm not sure what's happening but I don't see a reason to take advantage of him by not uploading his series. After all famous actors are the reasons platforms can get popular and he got pretty famous after youth of blood so I don't know why they are not taking advantage of him by actually making his series available (unless there is a scandal that they are trying to take care of and we don't know about).

Probably something else is going on. I mean if they had problems with him as an actor, they wouldn't invest tons of money on him. Unless there is something going on behind the scenes like a scandal and we don't now it. Still even in that case, how long has it been going on? Cause he has tons of unreleased dramas and they are not all new 😂

Yeap. Many of Youku's period dramas are rumoured to air during summer, but I think that will also depend on other platforms and their releases. They tend to upload the highly anticipated ones all at once.
A dream within a dream (iqiyi and wetv) will air soon and the princess's gambit is also rumoured to air soon (wetv), so logically speaking at least, Youku must release a period drama soon.

Yes, I don't know what's going on. I think the actor is under Youku and apparently many of his dramas with the platform haven't got released. I would get it if he was unknown, but he became quite famous after the Blood of Youth.

I am honestly quite sure that GJM has some powerful people backing him up. He has been accused of plagiarism more than once and nothing has happened to him. His dramas have high budgets and they come out very quickly. When MJTY got released I was impressed that they released it so quickly after being wrapped. I mean the man is not even using his real name in the credits, doesn't exactly have the best reputation in China and yet he is directing tons of series.
I don't think it is him, unless there is truly a complaint against him.

I think VoS is okay. I mean we have tons of pics from where the shooting took place, plus some official pics. It hasn't wrapped for that long and reservations are fine. We have some actual photos, I am not expecting a trailer that soon even though they could have uploaded a short video or something with the actors.

I think it is mostly a platform thing. And I believe that even MJTY and FoF didn't have a lot of promotion going on for them. Maybe cause of GJM. I think the problem is mostly Youku in this case. I hope nothing is going on behind the scenes.

I mean lower reservations mean that promotion has not really started so they can't release it unless they air drop it (which would be stupid).

I mean before FoF aired they fought for the seconds of screentime the mains had in the trailer. The thing is that they don't promote it in general. It's like it has never been filmed. And I don't get why. The actors are not nobodies nor the drama is low budget.

I wouldn't say they are low taking into consideration there is almost zero promotion.

Problem is that actors are not as famous as others and there was basically almost no promotion for a long while. Most highly anticipated ones that have more than 1m reservations either had a trailer a while ago or more famous actors.

If they promoted it properly it would do much better, but they don't and it is constantly delayed. After it wrapped there were almost zero materials.
