Another thing that I found weird was when the politician showed the husband the video of that door (that we didn't see) his words were a bit weird. He said something like "You must protect your wife". If it was a mistress it would be more logical to say "You don't want your wife to find out about this" or something so yeah many theories. Hopefully we will find out this week.
I get it about Eun Woo. He bothers me sometimes too.
From an outsiders perspective he stayed unpunished that is why FL killed him, to punish him for his action. However, from Seon Yul's perspective even though his dad was the reason her son died, he also lost his father and now his mother, something that wouldn't have happened if FL didn't take justice into her own hands.
It is more like a circle of violence at this point. Even though not really similar plot wise, I saw the devil shows this in a great way.
That was such an awful choice and some lazy writing.
Honestly bans in China and generally entertainment "laws" change all the time, so I suppose they may be hoping for a change too. There was this one drama airing after 7 years or something recently π
They don't make any money, but I feel they believe it will be more profitable to them if it airs in China even after 6-7 years than making it air internationally in some platform. The majority of their viewers is Chinese and they don't have any platforms there. Of course there are other possibilities, they may know something will change or selling it internationally is not as easy as we think. For the time being I hope the Spirealm airs peacefully (and none of the actors get any scandals) and then maybe we can actually hope...
Spirealm will also be on iQiyi, so both China and internationally.
For the time being, let's hope it will air safely and then maybe we get to see others too...
I hate you π
He used a Chinese name in Korea? I mean, why? That makes no sense especially since most non korean idols don't get treated that well...
I wasn't sure about this series after the first 2 episodes, but it is getting better and better every week.
π₯ The two main actors have great chemistry and I also really like their acting, especially Kurt Huang's that stars as the younger brother.
π₯ I knew the first scene couldn't be real, but well, at least we got some fluff because next episode is going to hurt.
π₯ I really like the scenes the two mains had together. Especially when Yuan got to his work and reminded all of Qian's colleagues to take care of him by giving him all necessities πππ
π₯ San Pang is the only one that has a brain apparently. Like the moment Qian mentioned that Yuan likes boys he connected the dots. Meanwhile Qian is still in deep denial...
π₯ I just realised San Pang's actor is from South Korea! Dude is hot af btw.
π€ I love the jealousy trope. The whole "that's you sister in law thing" wow. Plus I love how San Pang straightforwardly asked Yuan if he likes his ge.
π That scene where Qian askes Yuan "what will happen if the person you like gets married" and he is like "I'll go insane" while looking at him was π₯π₯π₯
How cruel to only have one episode a week π’
Plus, next week we will get to see the scene from the beginning of the first episode. Ngl I love angst, but I also know it will hurt me...
I don't know if entertaining is the right word to use since as mentioned it is pretty heavy especially in the first couple of eps, but it definitely is a good series.
Makjangs may be ridiculous, but they don't necessarily have badly written characters or script. Everything is just on the extreme and they focus on entertainment.
Here plot has no flow, makes no sense generally and the characters also have 0 personality. Entertainment value is also low. The thing is that it is extremely ecidenr in episode 2. It is not like it has a good start and then it just has a downfall. So he must have seen it (or maybe he truly thought this would be a hit and the script would at least manage to entertain).
Penthouse is literally nothing similar plot wise or character wise with this. Penthouse was all over the top in everything and it had a plot that at least in the first season had a flow no matter how ridiculous it was.
Here it feels like they are trying to be serious and they fail and they just use all the clichΓ©s that you see in series that chaebols are used -no matter the genre- (succession, evil siblings).
This is bad writing and you can see that on the script and he must have read at least 2 eps of it before decideling on the role.
So I would bet on money.
