I feel it has something to do with SY transplant that is why it was mentioned that he would do it for his son.

I wouldn't really call that illogical. More like something that we usually don't see in series/movies. Most of…
I don't get that either. Like the majority of the series I had the same theory that sis left the door open, but as you said it seems like the cheating, with her at least, was a one time thing. Plus something that also bothered me and I did find plausible that she wasn't in the house that day was the lack of guilt. Even if the sis was evil and didn't care that the kid died like that because she left the door open, I don't get how the husband didn't feel any guilt and now the way they are showing us the situation it seems like the sis wasn't really responsible for the door being left open. So I am really curious to see what really happened.

Another thing that I found weird was when the politician showed the husband the video of that door (that we didn't see) his words were a bit weird. He said something like "You must protect your wife". If it was a mistress it would be more logical to say "You don't want your wife to find out about this" or something so yeah many theories. Hopefully we will find out this week.

I get it about Eun Woo. He bothers me sometimes too.

ML (Seon Yul)'s revenge thing doesn't make sense! like his dad killed FL's son and didn't even get punished! but…
I wouldn't really call that illogical. More like something that we usually don't see in series/movies. Most of the times we see the person that has been wronged taking justice into their own hands and getting the "bad guy" killed or worse. We rarely see the family of the "guilty one" and how they may process their loved one dying -yes, no matter what kind of scumbag they are-.

From an outsiders perspective he stayed unpunished that is why FL killed him, to punish him for his action. However, from Seon Yul's perspective even though his dad was the reason her son died, he also lost his father and now his mother, something that wouldn't have happened if FL didn't take justice into her own hands.

It is more like a circle of violence at this point. Even though not really similar plot wise, I saw the devil shows this in a great way.

He is a good actor generally, but the choice of roles is well questionable πŸ™ƒ

That was such an awful choice and some lazy writing.

That's for sure...

Honestly bans in China and generally entertainment "laws" change all the time, so I suppose they may be hoping for a change too. There was this one drama airing after 7 years or something recently πŸ˜‚

They don't make any money, but I feel they believe it will be more profitable to them if it airs in China even after 6-7 years than making it air internationally in some platform. The majority of their viewers is Chinese and they don't have any platforms there. Of course there are other possibilities, they may know something will change or selling it internationally is not as easy as we think. For the time being I hope the Spirealm airs peacefully (and none of the actors get any scandals) and then maybe we can actually hope...

I mean, it's natural. Immortality is a very costly production comparing with Spirealm. They will barely gain any money if it is released only internationally.

Spirealm will also be on iQiyi, so both China and internationally.

For the time being, let's hope it will air safely and then maybe we get to see others too...

On the bright side, it seems like the Spirealm (based on the bl novel Kaleidoscope of death) will be released officially in iQiyi ans VIU soon.

Generally, I feel that even the good actors like Lee Jae Wook lack in this drama. I like Lee Jun Yeong as villain. He is okayish here . I liked him more in other series. These type of roles fit him imo.

I mean there is Love alarm, but generally most kdramas with popular actors don't easily get anything less than 8. (And there are certainly people giving it a high rating cause they like the mains)

That's interesting. Thanks for the info.

He used a Chinese name in Korea? I mean, why? That makes no sense especially since most non korean idols don't get treated that well...

Episode 5 was sooo good

I wasn't sure about this series after the first 2 episodes, but it is getting better and better every week.

πŸ”₯ The two main actors have great chemistry and I also really like their acting, especially Kurt Huang's that stars as the younger brother.

πŸ”₯ I knew the first scene couldn't be real, but well, at least we got some fluff because next episode is going to hurt.

πŸ”₯ I really like the scenes the two mains had together. Especially when Yuan got to his work and reminded all of Qian's colleagues to take care of him by giving him all necessities πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

πŸ”₯ San Pang is the only one that has a brain apparently. Like the moment Qian mentioned that Yuan likes boys he connected the dots. Meanwhile Qian is still in deep denial...

πŸ”₯ I just realised San Pang's actor is from South Korea! Dude is hot af btw.

🀭 I love the jealousy trope. The whole "that's you sister in law thing" wow. Plus I love how San Pang straightforwardly asked Yuan if he likes his ge.

😍 That scene where Qian askes Yuan "what will happen if the person you like gets married" and he is like "I'll go insane" while looking at him was πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

How cruel to only have one episode a week 😒

Plus, next week we will get to see the scene from the beginning of the first episode. Ngl I love angst, but I also know it will hurt me...

I haven't started watching this yet but I want to get an idea about how important eunwoo's and semi's role here…
So far both of them don't have that much screentime. Eun Woo's role gets more important with each passing episode. About Se Mi we don't know yet if she will have a more important role in the future. So far she doesn't have that much screentime.I personally like it very much. Good directing, great performance by Kim Nam Joo and generally an engaging plot that deals with some heavy issues (grief, guilt corruption etc.).

I don't know if entertaining is the right word to use since as mentioned it is pretty heavy especially in the first couple of eps, but it definitely is a good series.

Can be, especially since the time skip is too big. It feels like they have entirely ''deleted'' two eps at least.

I can't consider this a makjang especially in the first episodes. More of a revenge drama. If they tried to make this a makjang they failed.

Makjangs may be ridiculous, but they don't necessarily have badly written characters or script. Everything is just on the extreme and they focus on entertainment.

Here plot has no flow, makes no sense generally and the characters also have 0 personality. Entertainment value is also low. The thing is that it is extremely ecidenr in episode 2. It is not like it has a good start and then it just has a downfall. So he must have seen it (or maybe he truly thought this would be a hit and the script would at least manage to entertain).

makjangs are very popular in korea ... remember penthouse and the love marriage series?
I don't consider this one a makjang, especially in the first few eps. A revenge drama maybe. If they tried for a makjang they failed.

Penthouse is literally nothing similar plot wise or character wise with this. Penthouse was all over the top in everything and it had a plot that at least in the first season had a flow no matter how ridiculous it was.

Here it feels like they are trying to be serious and they fail and they just use all the clichΓ©s that you see in series that chaebols are used -no matter the genre- (succession, evil siblings).

This is bad writing and you can see that on the script and he must have read at least 2 eps of it before decideling on the role.
So I would bet on money.
