If he had an affair before the incident happened, that raises the possibility of that woman being in the house when the FL was away in the first episode.
So when FL got back, the mistress hid and then left. That means she was the one that left the door open and so the reason why the kid got out and eventually had an accident and died.
I mean it is natural for the woman to care. Someone is basically out there threatening to ruin her husband and making her doubt him.
About the husband wanting to know, it probably has something to do with the day his son died. Plus if he did have a mistress before and that mistress is the sister as most speculate that would not only ruin his wedding. The female lead would have many reasons to go to prison again...
Hopefully it is something more complicated now that the neighbor got into the picture. I am wondering what is her role.
It is the only reason I would understand her saying all these things about being a mom blah blah.
My question why is Suho meeting her? Does she know what happened that day and threatened him? If her kid is somehow involved she might be helping him. Unless she was the mistress that day and the sis was the mistress when the FL got into prison.
And now comes the biggest question. If all of them knew what happened the day of the accident, why don't they feel guilty? Especially the dad...
She was taking a video of her kid playing outside the house when the FL got back from the airport.
I don't feel she is the mistress. More like that she knows something and she is covering for him. Why? Two possibilities right now.
She is either helping him take down someone or her son has something to do with what happened that day.
Of course she could truly be the mistress, but taking into consideration the sisters reaction, I doubt it. Unless he had 2 mistresses.
If we are talking about the neighbor, I doubt it.
She probably did see something she shouldn't have and for some reason she has taken his side (and somehow benefits from it). He wants to know who sent that pic to his wife but I doubt she is his mistress.
Taking into consideration that the photo was from the time his wife was in prison, I don't really consider it cheating. Why? She herself told him that she doesn't want him in her life anymore and that he should find another person to spend his life with.
Plus she was preparing divorce papers. She pushed him away clearly, even though he told her that he was going to leaven.
They were basically divorced by then. She herself said it when she found the photo that it did hurt, but they basically were not together then so...
The problem is if he was cheating when the incident happened. Now that changes lots of things.
That aside, the direction is also pretty problematic and the writing too.
Even though it is illogical, I don't mind it. This is a romcom and if we are talking about logic there is none in the entire drama. If I start thinking about logic in this series I will seriously hate it 😅
So yeah, try to watch it a bit brainlessly, because it will be frustrating otherwise.
But if Suho was cheating that day and the mistress is the reason his kid died and he knows it, he will rightfully get that no. 1 spot on the most hated husband on korean TV.
It would make sense especially since the sis usually left Korea to travel abroad for work.
I do agree that a better actor would probably bring something much better performance wise though, especially since he will probably play a more vital role in the future, but until then I will wait and see.
The sis acted suspicious which further proves the theory that she was the other woman. I mean, it's natural for her to overract a bit, if she finds out that her "sis" learned her husband was with another woman and that woman was her. Sure it was when she pushed him away, but it is still her sister and that is unforgivable in my book.
Mom overreacted. She did. I get it though. She didn't want her daughter to suffer again and she had no idea that her daughter already knew about it.
If we are talking about the viewers overeacting, I get it, mostly because most people speculated that he had an affair before the incident. Now that it is confirmed, I think the majority, me included, believe that that affair of his could be the reason for his kids death.
It would be natural for him to stop the investigation if the camera showed his mistress getting out of the house the day the accident happened. But I don't think it is that simple and I feel like the neighbor had something to do with it or more precisely maybe her kid did (or at least knows something)
And now I am almost 100% sure it was the "sister". When she said to the FL that "all worthy men are taken" I confirmed it. He was too kind to be true I suppose. Plus, if he was cheating that day too that means she knows that she was the one responsible for the kids death...
How does she not feel any guilt is beyond me (unless she did it on purpose which is too farfetched or there was something else going on).
I honestly believe even the present with the same shoes as her was on purpose...
If it is not her, it could be the neighbour, but I am betting my money on the sister.
That aside there was one thing I really did not like in ep. 3. The professor and generally everyone giving away personal information about CEW's character. Even if I get everyone else, the FL was a psychology professor and the person who gave her information is also a psychologist. Isn't it illegal to give information about a patient to other people there?
Taking into consideration how realistic this show is when it comes to portraying grief, I couldn't believe that no one told her that they cannot share information about the case of him in general.
I hope the series goes dome unexpected ways.
