I don't watch that many realities and this one was generally not bad, but it could be much better.

I think all the actors dubbed themselves.

There are multiple reasons for the dubbing. Some actors have different accents, they are much more expensive when it comes to dubbing themselves and take much more time than professional dubbers.

Generally, clarity is very important and of course there is the whole set thing especially in historical. Sometimes actual sounds from the street could be heard or building of sets that create noise. So dubbing is the best choice.

It is generally slow paced, dialogue and character driven, so no, pacing is generally like that in the majority of the series. It is not that complicated in terms of plot though. It just needs a bit more attention to all things that are being spoken. It can be a bit difficult remembering all the names and the relations at first though
