Yeah, it's understandable. It also feels like there is no central plot, but since you are already halfway through I suggest you to finish it. Second half is very good pacing wise, especially the last 6 episodes.

I don't think it delays the original. I mean the director wrote the script for many years so it is natural for it to delay. I hope we get to watch it soon and it is as good as the first season.

I think that it actually reinforces the message of the original and making this show is such a huge irony.
All things aside, the series is judging capitalism and this show was created just for the purpose of gaining money. Netflix wants to take advantage of the series popularity and the players decided to take part in a game that is severely anxious just to gain money. Isn't that a huge irony 🤔

Plus I don’t think people will shy away from watching the actual show. Let's not forget that it was a global phenomenon and they majority of people watching the reality have also watched the show. Lastly, I personally remember many people nor getting the message of the actual series when they watched it, so I don't think the reality is going to be a problem in that aspect...

Generally I get what you are saying though. Netflix is basically confirming that capitalism is in charge and people can do a lot for money.

Yes, but I wouldn't really compare the two.

I personally enjoyed Vincenzo. It is not for everyone and it is a ''like or hate'' drama, but it clearly belongs on the comedy/drama/action genre and it doesn't take itself seriously.
And even if someone hated it, it has things to offer. Great cinematography and music.

This one is taking itself seriously and it was being advertised as a psychological thriller, but it in reality it is very dumb. Nothing makes sense - from what I remember at least, because it's been a while - and it is pretty bad generally in all aspects, production included. If they had added some comedic elements and advertised it as a comedy thriller, maybe it would work.
