Based on calendar there should be two eps dropping today

So you want him to go all the way back to his house and then have the same luck of entering the palace all over again after a few hours without anyone noticing and going to the emperor's chambers.... Even if he found that secret tunnel it would be still hard to enter until that point in that late hour. I think it's wise and time efficient that he went to his workplace within the palace grounds. After all it was only thanks to that night's festivities that the room was so empty, he only had couple of hours to work things out. He just wasn't sharp enough to have people already stationed in there...He shouldn't have gone alone!

Hmm... it's just a subplot though the FL plays a crucial helpful role in the ML's journey of vengeance...And in the latest eps it did get more romantic but overall the focus is revenge and politics. For me it's still worth it though, just give it a try and see for yourself! ^^

No I feel you cause so far i have had my fair share of guesses haha I can't wait for Tuesday when all eps drop as well! The writers did a great job with this one! Keeping us on our toes to the every end...

I think he is not as magnanimous or "easy" as he seems...The fact that he had Zhang Hai's father sent on a secret mission and was keeping the Seal all this time by his side says a lot...ALSO I love how Zhang Hai's father never trusted anyone of them! He separated the Seal smartly by giving only the stone to the emperor and the fish kept them himself, since without them the Seal couldn't be activated even if the emperor want it to use it one day!
Too sad the fish were taken by the villains but even right now only Queen of Dongxia/her people and Zhang Hai know how the design of the full Seal looks right? Or did he share about it with his master too??
Btw personally I do think the masked guy might be after the Seal but it's not someone who wants to hurt Zhang Hai, he just decided to use him and his desire for revenge. Kinda get there without using his own hands...

I think the reason he died was because his part was over...Since he taught Zhang Hai all he needed and after leaving for the capital he wouldn't return back. They also needed a foolproof reason for him to enter the capital so the fire had be real. But also because I think these masters might be kinda on a suicide mission, the moment their role is done off they go...I think next 8 eps will be quite dreadful...

He wants it as protection in case the emperor dies. If the emperor is gone, since there is no heir(emperor was mentioned to have no children) there will be chaos among the vessels and who will take over the throne. So he hopes that him holding onto the Seal will give him enough protection and to seem useful to the new ruler. The thing is, with how he looks currently I don't think he will live longer than the emperor but then again he sure has been lucky...

Let's hope baby is a daughter so it looks more like Antu and gets her father's eyes which are probably the only real feature left on his face...Even that Cao leech said his eyes reminded him of his father...Such a sharp old man... Zhang Hai should up his game too!

I also catched something fishy on that scene but wasn't certain... I was definitely not all that surprised when it was later revealed though lol Plus knowing the relationship of FL and Dongxia queen there had to be a twist or the love story would turn tragic!

Well it's not as if Zhang Hai tried to "shape him into a proper heir for the Zhuang's family" without any other motives behind it. Personally, I don't blame Zhuang Zhi his father may have been a terrible person but he was still nonetheless his father and the only family member still alive. The general surely deserved his death after all the crimes he committed but not the way he died. Plus, Zhuang Zhi told him back then in the very beginning of their alliance that he would try, but he shouldn't blame him if he changes his mind or smth along those lines. And it was Zhang Hai who killed the general, even though indirectly. Don't forget it was he who switched the bloody letter and sent it after he modified it to Cao's residence and then another to the general's troops, plus he was the one who turned Cao and the general against eo since way before. He knew all it needed was that one little extra push for his plan to finally bear fruit. I mean, since we are on his side and this is his story ofc we will side with him and his tragic past but Zhang Hai is also no saint and I just hope he can end his revenge and stop before he turns into a monster himself...

The way I managed to catch up in 3 days...This cdrama is truly addicting haha I am glad I left it until now or the wait would be painful...Only two days left for the express I believe and yet I still can't figure out with certainty who the third person is or if FL/ML will manage to make it out alive in the end...The mystery has been well kept in this and the whole show has been a roller coaster of emotions! Btw I absolutely loved the latest episodes with sweet scenes between are leads, it felt like a well-deserved break both for them and the viewers but that was definitely the calm before the storm as we saw on today's ep and I fear things will only keep getting more intense from here on out! Let's hope for a nice ending without any loose ends and unsatisfactory conclusions!

Mee I did and I actually commented smth similar here...The whole father vs son duel was really sad and tragic...

The final scene in ep28 where FL and ML discuss about his revenge and her mother was incredibly hard to watch. I could sense their inner turmoil, guilt, longing and unease all at once!

I can never get actor stans lol Like at least when it comes to music industry it makes a bit of sense but ion acting industry I don't get the whole fandom cults...I for once always choose dramas to watch based on plot/trailer/first impressions not based on who acts in them and whether I like the leads together or not...As long as they can act and support their characters nothing else matters...I may have watched multiple dramas of the leads but it was definitely not with them in mind. They picked some good projects that fit me well><

Honestly, I’m already on ep 28 and there’s barely any romance to speak of! Romance fans are definitely going to have a hard time getting crumbs with this one haha. Most of the scenes with the leads are just them exchanging information or helping each other out with a few flirty lines tossed in. I don’t really understand why some people have an issue with this... Their relationship will definitely be important for how the mystery with the Seal plays out and their connection was definitely one of the reasons that helped ML's plans go so smoothly in the begining! It's totally fine if you don’t feel the chemistry (I get it I’m not exactly feeling the sparks between them either) but saying they’re “forcing” it when there’s barely any romance to begin with feels a bit much lol
