Oh totally agreed! And people switch like clockwork when it comes to characters. Just look under the comment section of TopForn for example, people seem to have forgotten what Johnny did in a instance because he had a âshipperâ moment, where he was watching Jun and Akin together. Like can we stick to not liking a guy for like longer then a week? Do they not have morals or is it because itâs just a series? I personally still canât stand the character Boston (from Only friends).

True, but I personally am of the opinion that Payu and Rain had more of a Dom/sub relationship and Payu being soft with Rain was him testing out Rain his boundaries. Maybe Sorn just lacks patience đ

Honestly it would be nice if we for once get a mature series where the bottom is not some kind of helpless little young boy, who needs to be saved by big strong guy, let him stand on his own! Most of the bl series show characters who were between 20/25 years old. They are young adults/adults, old enough to get out into the big scary world! I want to see a bottom who doesnt bow down by some bully, person who thinks they are more or hides behind his âtopâ.
Is that also the lesson you as a company or series, want to through out into the world, that you just have to find a strong boyfriend who will protect from everything? Newsflash he/she/they arenât going to be there for you always. (I sound bitter đ ). Why canât bl series show, that love can be an addition to your life, not that your whole life and personality has to become your lovelife.
With that group of friends, who all watch BL, some are much older then me (Iâm 34). Who when something happens to one of the actors go âoh our pour babies, or my poor babiesâ, itâs just like gross donât do that. That are human people we are talking about, most are over 22, they are no babies, they are young men! And for some it might be a motherly feelings (which personally grosses me out even more). Thankfully one of my friends thinks the same way, so sometimes I can complain about it to her. Maybe itâs the culture Iâm used too, we tend to be way to serious, sober and stiff for that stuff.
The whole infantilize thing was one of the reasons I just couldnât watch Hill and Ter in Fourever You part one. I know New recently has a habit of having actors act younger or more childlike but that one⊠Nothing wrong with Cooheart just the way he played his character was not for me. To damsel in destress, to little helpless boy needs help with everything!
I get the frustration though, I wish Gmmtv would touch some series that show the difficulties and struggles people have in the LGBTQIA+ community. That might actually open some eyes to those fans. But itâs seems to be to much of a taboo, so they stay on the safe sides. I personally loved series as Love in the big city or I told sunset about you. I would like it if they did a series with a good polyamorous storyline.
Also totally different subject but it would be nice if for once during nc scenes there are some bottles of lube shown, only series so far that showed it (used it) was 4 minutes. But then again Durex was sponser for the series.

Louder!!!! You donât see it, but Iâm giving you a standing ovation!! đ I personally cringe when I hear my other BL friends go on and on about âtheir babiesâ that they need to protect. You have no idea how the comment section under the series 10 liners bugged me, especially during the YothaGun storyline. Like Gun is not some helpless little boy you need to save from the big bad wolf named Yotha. Also Yotha was never a red flag character, just somebody trying to heal from his trauma. As you can see, still frustrated by it!
As for Sorn and Jun I feel like those two are just playing a game with each other, the game of who can hold out the longest. Jun is clearly comfortable and enjoying his time with Sorn, and Sorn tries to be very tactful and oblivious, yet he anything but that.
I want to say it was as subtle as Payu was with Rain but Payu had a bit more tact and I did feel like Rain was a bit naive in the beginning. Payu was attracted towards Rain from the first meeting and I think the same can be said of Sorn towards Jun. Why am I involve Payu and Rain into this? No idea itâs late and it just popped up.
I feel like you have been watching the wrong series then. Because except for the Gmmtv series almost every single series has had nc scenes. With TopForm and The Boy Next World leading the charge.
Ya, and the younger one looked like one of Jin's publicists. The one who kept asking Akin to guest star in Jin's…
Or are that the photos of Jin and Akin, I mean Akin his manager/producer (still not sure what the guy does) did warm Akin, that they scrubbed the phone of the stalker but that there are possibilities that the photos still got out. Though I wouldnât be suprised if they use those pictures to destroy, do damage, to Akin, Jin or both their careers.
Jin and Akin are trying to hide their relationship but they both got that relationship necklace hanging on their…
Itâs quite curious that non of the fans of #JinAkinisreal hasnât made posts or compared the necklaces with each other. I mean we all know that there are die hard fans in the real bl community, that would search and search, and compare jewelry from actors đ
Damn they're both so good at living room scene, even much better than the last episode (confrontation car scene).…
I absolutely agree with you, the actors are doing such a fenomenable job, not to mention the director!
I do have to say that, I think some Gmmtv actors probably are also on the same level as YinWar, if only Gmmtv would use their talents. And not have them do the constant comedy, immature, high school dramas, where their acting talents donât get challenged more. The last mature good bl drama series Gmmtv did was last twilight, in my opinion.
and that was how the SA was brushed under the rug as usual..... with a pat on the wrist. what a let down!I get…
I do agree with you. Even more seeing the absolutele torment Johnny put Kin through, the moment Jin said you didnât have sex with him, you can see the weight on Kin his shoulders falling away! His knees literally buckle.
And what does Johnny do? He laughs and mocks Kin not to mention the fact that he tried to get Jin also drunk for whatever reason. I do not see any redemption in him, he is not sorry. I personally do hope that the audio of Johnny saying all of it, gets leaked somehow. Or that they do something with it. He still touched, marked and undressed him, without Kin his permission. Honestly I find it all kinds of wrong. We all know that Johnny wouldâve gone trough with it, if it wasnât for Kim mumbling Jin his name. He even mentions and acknowledges it himself, so the argument âhe didnât penetrate akinâ isnât valid here (not that it ever is) because the intention was there from the beginning.
Yeah that explains everything unforgotten night was wild
Agreed. I found Unforgotten Night such a let down. They couldnât even give us a decent BDSM scene, it would be nice if the entertainment companyâs, gave a series that gives a good representation of it. I see people recommend it as a spicy BL, but really there are much better ones out there.
Sorn why are u so messy??? also someone explain to me if the first scene even happened or it was a fever dream…
Iâm pretty sure the opening scene is an scene still to come. Because this first episode feels more like reconnecting with each other, while the opening scene, feels like where the interns have been at the company for a while.
I just don't understand why a homophobic person would audition to play a gay character
I know itâs been a couple of weeks, but I still would like to answer. Sadly a lot of actors use bl series as their stepping stone into the entertainment industry, acting world. Thats why some audition for these roles but then afterwards distance themselves from it.
Some people are blaming Jin and some are blaming Akin, honestly, no one is to be blame. Jin yes acted a lot of…
Only one at fault is Johnny and he is the one they should be blamed! He shouldâve kept his hands on himself, not take advantage of a drunken Akin. Thats honestly the only thing Iâm really focusing on!
Agreed. This is a typical miscommunication and misunderstanding, theyâll work it out in the next episode. What…
I agree. Iâm starting to think that it might be just the average age of mdl users. Itâs very easy to blame the victim (we see that in daily life happening all to often) or their partner. You should have seen the reactions during the airing of secret relationship, the amount of people rooting for the guy who was abusive and had anger issues was absurd. Not to mention how people reacted during the airing of When it rains it poors, where there were like, well he didnât fight back, so it couldnât be rape, even though it was clear that it was non-consensual.
People also tend to forget that these characters are human and make mistakes, they have their insecurities and imperfections.
For me it seems clear Jin wasnât in the headspace to talk about things, he was clearly agitated and angry at Johnny. And Akin was still very confused and not ready to talk about it, which is so understandable.
Maybe itâs just me but I thought it was a good thing that they separated for the time being. Better to separate and work trough the emotions (in Jin his case cool off) and (self)reflect, then have a very heated discussion at that moment, where things are being said that they are going to regret later on or that could only break things more. Let them come back together and get their heads and heart straight on what happened.
Maybe itâs because (according to others) Peanut/ Johnny looks hot, donât know what that has to do with it, he still couldnât keep his hands to himself. Or the fact that the readers of the novel have said it wasnât actually rape, that doesnât make it better. The hickeys and bruises were still placed, while Akin was unconscious, which makes it non consensual and sexual assault. We as a viewer should know better, we saw Akin lying there on the bed, being unconscious and somebody talking advantage of that. That should be the vocal point, not what Jin or Akin did or didnât do.
Jin should have this, Jin should have that. Akin should have this, Akin should have that. All of you rest in Jesus…
Agreed. This is a typical miscommunication and misunderstanding, theyâll work it out in the next episode. What point is it to have these heated discussions about Which person, should do what? Itâs not like the directors are going to pull the episode, change it and air it again. Itâs done. Only one to blame was Johnny, that low life canât keeps his hands to himself!
Yeah but him not even considering the possibility that the other guy might have taken advantage of Akin is so…
I think after that confrontation with Johnny where Jin is already very angry and aggitated he isnât thinking straight or willing to listen to Akin. I think if they both take some space, in Jin his case cool of, theyâll probably reflect and talk things out.
âwow, jin seems really supportive of akin! thank god he has someone understanding on his side!!â i said with…
But thatâs the thing, Jin doesnât know what happened. Because Akin isnât talking about it, which is for the viewers is understandable, because we know what happened. But Jin he didnât see what we as viewers saw. He hears another man on the phone saying things like oh we are making/having fun, Akin then doesnât answer his phohe anymore. And the next day, Jin sees hickeys on Akinâs neck. Should he have been more patient with Kin, absolutely. Should he have let Akin explain it, also yes. Shouldnât Jin have jumped to the most extreme and wrong conclusion, absolutely. But to him it does look like Akin had sex with Johnny, itâs also because he isnât told anything else.
But you canât forget that Jin is human and has his own insecurities, makes mistakes and sadly he tends to be jealous and possessive but Akin can also be that. Jin is already agitated by Johnny, so heâll probably also wouldnât be in the headspace to talk it out or to listen.
We saw the preview of next week, it seems like theyâll get together and hopefully talk it out next week. Theyâll be okay.
Youâre right, victim blaming is not ok, however, Jin doesnât know that Johnny ra*ed Akin. Jin thinks Akin…
I get what you mean, but in when it rains it poors there was also a not clear scene if it was SA or r*pe. In the novel it was the last one, in the series it wasnât clear for the viewer unless you read the book. The condom wrapper doesnt have to mean that Johnny went all the way, it could be that he wanted to but something stopped him. Could be that he put it there for shock value, etc. From what we saw it was SA, the bruises and the hickeys were all non consensual placed. But if it was r*pe, I donât know.
Is that also the lesson you as a company or series, want to through out into the world, that you just have to find a strong boyfriend who will protect from everything?
