I thought the previous episode that it might be that whoever drinks Tong his blood will form a bond with Tong, and with that bond come certain benefits. But I like your theory also.

I think a lot of people either didnt watch the YothaGun storyline or are just forgetting it. But the fact is Yotha constantly took up for Faifa during his arc with Gun. He constantly went to battle for Faifa against him mother. Also the production team deliberately chanted Yotha. In the books he was such a green character, dealt with his trauma while also respecting Gun. In the books he never kissed Warich. It’s very easy to blame Yotha, while in fact the blame lies entirely with the mother. In the books Faifa and Yotha were also twins, which would explain the close bond and also certain comments Yotha made about Faifa.

I saw Seong meeting Da On as just two strangers meeting. A stranger helping another person in need, they both probably forgot the meeting ever happened. But I think for us viewers it was to show that Seong was actually the first one to see and meet Da On and not like Jaemin claimed that he was the first. Some said it was just destiny playing out, which is a nice thought.

Maybe Jaemin did though, Da On had a grey suit on for the presentation. When he woke up he had a black suit on. I don’t think this production team would make a mistake with clothing like that.

Black and white in western cultures often symbolize dualities, life and death, purity and evil, good and bad. White is traditionally linked to purity, weddings and peace, while black represents mourning, elegance and mystery. In Korea white symbolizes purity, innocence, peace, righteousness, while black symbolizes darkness, death, dignity. It goes hand to hand in what Jaemin was wanting to do. I actually think that Jaemin clothed Da On in his black suit, I can see him in his crazed mind doing it. Jaemin his white suit for him he feels like he innocent in all this, that he is pure of heart and just “helping” Da On.

I don’t think it was silly to think that, the story, actor and the way it was directed all made it seem like Jaemin was giving up. But after rewatching ep 7, I noticed that during the moment Jaemin called Da On, he had his chessboard standing up again (remember in the fight all the pieces got knocked down). That chessboard was a representation of the games Jaemin was playing with people. Why would he set it back up again if he was done playing. The way the scene that showed the kidnapper was cut in ep 7 made it also seem like it was Su Hyeon, they made the actor who played Jaemin wore the same clothes as Su Hyeon, that was to throw the viewer of. The same way the scenes around Su Hyeon in ep 7 made it seem like Su Hyeon was planning something, and he was, just not kidnapping Da On. I said it on fb that people like Jaemin usually don’t back down, they actually escalate instead of de-escalate, which was shown. In Jaemin his mind Da On is his, he “owns” Da On, and according to his own reasoning, that was because he saw him first. Su Hyeon might have loved Da On first but for Jaemin it didn’t matter who loved Da On, because in his twisted mind, he saw Da On first, so that made him ownership of Da On. When Su Hyeon had the confrontation with Jaemin in the police station, it was clear that the love Jaemin had for Da On was selfish, he was ready to sacrifice Da On for his love, where as Seong was ready to sacrifice himself for the love he held for Da On. I did felt somewhat sorry for Su Hyeon in the end, but I don’t think they would have been happy if Jaemin never butted in, unless Su Hyeon had gone through intensive therapy. He still had an awful upbringing and was short tempered. The only selfless thing he did in the present time was letting go of Da On, which is a good thing. I think realizing how fucked up Jaemin really was, made him probably realize what he had done to Da On and how his behavior towards him was. It might also have been the realization that he in fact didn’t or couldn’t have sacrificed his life for Da On, like Seong did do. Sorry for the long answer!

That after credit scene was for us viewers to see that actually it wasn’t Jaemin who saw Da On
first, it was Seong. And the scene itself, I took it as a stranger just helping somebody in need, I didn’t see any bad thing about it. Seong was probably on his way home after school and saw Da On collapse, they probably forgot about it after that.

Maybe the actors have good chemistry, but you shouldn’t want somebody like Da On to end up with such a toxic and abusive person. This whole comment section is full with comments of people telling you why this is not a good idea!

I just have to say after watching When it rains it poors, where we get a not even 10 sec end scene with the happy couple. Getting to see Da On and Seong be lovey dovey for over 10 minutes is really nice to see. I’ll give a bigger review once I’m calmed down a bit.

No this was to show, that Da On and Seong met each other earlier, 12 years to be exact. Some say it was destiny that they ended up together. Seong was just somebody passing by, probably on his way home from school, when Da On collapsed. He was just helping a stranger, who was in need. But for is viewers, we get to see it as Seong met Da On first instead of what Jaemin claimed.

I loved how when he told Da On to go to Dubai, the sun started to shine upon his face, making it glow.

It could’ve worked if both Jaemin and Hyeon were healthy people but we both know that not to be true. They would’ve never “shared” Da On. That was the whole reason for that contract, so both couldn’t have Da On. But as a polyamorous person I do agree, it would’ve looked good and probably been good, if both men had been healthy and open to polyamory.

Why are you saying Su Hyeon is not as bad as Jaemin, while he has shown you he is just as bad? What because they had some sweet couple of moments in high school? The guy is a bomb waiting to go of, what you think physical assault, SA and all threats of him killing Seong are just not that bad? Su Hyeon isn’t keeping Da On save, he’s adding to a unsafe environment and situation! If he was keeping Da On safe he would at least be interested in what is happening in Da On his life. I don’t understand this need to classify one as less bad!

I didn’t think that card was from Da On, felt more like Jaemins. I feel like it was in the order of which they were standing in front of the window. I think Su Hyeon wrote “please make us happy”, Da on wrote “May we all be happy” and I think Jaemin wrote “May we be together until the moment we leave this world”. That last card has a, I don’t know but it felt like it was kind of ominous, it felt obsessive to me. Can you explain why you think Da On wrote it?

Or like Kate, a bit further down the comments, said he’s planning to commit murder and suicide. Because honestly he is that deranged, you could already see it on the Christmas cards in the tree. The first two were normal wishes, the third felt kind of disturbed and creepy.

Revamp is directed by New, I hate to say it but that an accident waiting to happen. I have already lowered my expectations for that one, not because Boun or Prem. But New hasn’t done such a good job with his latest 3/4 series, he’s directed.

I saw some say that they think Jaemin is letting go of Da On so he couldn’t possibly be the one who kidnapped Da On. But the thing is these types of people only escalate further, never will they back down, never de-escalate. Because in their mind their “prey” (for lack of a better word) is already theirs, they own it. (Jaemin has made that clear throughout the series) Only thing Jaemin learned from hurting himself is that Da On is unfazed by it, yes he was shocked and traumatized but not enough to stay and wait for him in the hospital. Only thing Jaemin now knows is that he needs to take bigger actions. In my opinion, him calling Da On and making it seem like he is giving up on Da On, is being used by him, so that Da On will let his guard down around Jaemin. Him kidnapping Da On would fit in the picture of him needing to take bigger actions and further escalating.

Even if he didn’t kidnap Da On, he has shown that there are no excuses for his behavior, long before this episode.

Some of the people responding don’t know or don’t realize it, but the moment you start cutting if a toxic relationship or a toxic (abusive) person, is in fact the most dangerous time for said person. Because the abuser is losing control and will do anything to get that control back. But seeing your career background, you’ll know this. When I left my ex I was so scared, I left in the end of November and until March I would get anonymous phone calls during the day, late at night, early in the morning. I live in a country where you drive from one end to the other in two hours, so i felt like he could easily have done something. Thankfully it stayed with only those phone calls. I took me 3 or 4 tries to get out, finally with the last time I told myself never again, 4 years before I ended the relationship I knew I was in a toxic and abusive relationship. Out 6,5 years.
