But demisexuality = not feeling sexual attraction unless you have a deep emotional bond with them. So his quote doesn't quite align. And many allosexual (non-asexual) folks often try to delegitimize asexuality by claiming that you cant have romantic attraction without sexual attraction, which is essentially Leo's quote in a different context.
So, it's less about the quote and more about the context in his case.
