I thought Sean already knew about White, otherwise why would he ask him if he had any siblings. But seeing him…
I think he does know, to an extent. His reaction is justified by 2 theories:
1.) He doesn't know how to differentiate between them. And he thought that since Black came to his "secret" spot (and kissed him), that it had to have been White.
2.) He knew it was Black beating him up (after the confession anyway) but figured since White wasn't there and hadn't said anything - that meant that White left him.
But granted, he is not as caught-on and smart as the past few episodes made me think he was. Like I thought he had lined up all these clues to help differentiate between them - and then he didn't use any of them. Tsk.
No but are Gram Black a thing in the novel or are they feelings in the novel???
GramBlack is a thing in the novel. A toxic thing, but a thing nonetheless. But they've changed SO much between the novel and the series - and are really carrying this Eugene thing hard, that it's really unclear if they will be a thing in the series.
I think he knows to an extent, but doesn't know how to differentiate between the 2 (after all, he wouldn't know…
Yea I thought so as well. So that leads to an alternate conclusion/theory: It's possible that while he might know it was Black beating him up (after the confession anyway), he thought the fact that it was Black there instead of White meant that White left him and wouldn't come back.
I think he figured that by doing this, if White came to him there would be nothing to salvage. Sean has major…
Black is definitely underestimating White's backbone and love. He's not the same kid that he always had to protect when they were younger. Time for him to learn what his brother's capable of.
I think he knows there's 2 of them - but he doesn't know how to differentiate between them. And perhaps the fact…
I think you're making White to be a lot more violent of a character than he is. I do think he will put his foot down to Black, but I am extremely skeptical of him coming even close to "beating the shit out of him" even if he could overpower Black (which we have done seen that he can't).
We all knew Black was a cruel character, this episode shows us just how much. D punches he gave Sean were just…
I think he figured that by doing this, if White came to him there would be nothing to salvage. Sean has major trust issues, so the fact that he had let down that many guards for White told Black that it was gonna take a lot to get them away from each other.
As for why, he's extremely protective of White. We saw it in the flashbacks. And he wants White as far away from all of this danger as possible. So by cutting off the ties he's developed - he's hoping that it eliminates the reasons for White to come back. And it's not like he holds any fondness for Sean, if anything - he might be absolutely livid at Sean for getting close to his brother (in the book, Black had a raging brother complex).
why sean didn't know about the twins? In some spoiler i came to know that- sean knows that he is with white who…
I think he knows there's 2 of them - but he doesn't know how to differentiate between them. And perhaps the fact that Black went to Sean's secret spot made him think this was for sure White? But yea, he's not as caught-on and smart as the past few episodes led me to think he was. I mean, i thought the rope marks, the button, and the request were things he was gonna use to check - but he didnt use any of that.
Ummmmmmm what was even that episode? I’m in shock! Black was brutal and made me hate him. It’s one thing to…
I think he knows to an extent, but doesn't know how to differentiate between the 2 (after all, he wouldn't know it was White the entire time or if they switched off and on). But yea, definitely not as caught-on and smart as i thought he was at this point - so a little disappointed.
another great episode !! BUT, i wonder if SeanWhite can ESCAPE curse of ep 11.. im eager to know yet feeling scared…
Well theres 14 episodes, instead of the usual 12 - so the curse would be in episode 13 if it happens. But i think there's enough nonromantic plot that they might escape it.
Hi,I just came to check here to see if that her school crush is actually male lead and was surprised to see the…
I came to the reviews to find out if this was one of those dramas where she winds up with the one that appears to be presented as second male lead. Im very disappointed that its not - but im glad to hear it so that i dont continue. I got through almost halfway into 3rd episode before i finally had enough with the ML.
I wonder if the auto-mechanic work is like a specialization/concentration that he is taking. It is after all,…
Like my biggest gripes are: 1.) Not why did they set up an arranged marriage (it's was explained pretty well, and it's more or less the same logic that always applies to this trope, except now its 2 boys). And not why Hia is going along with it. But rather, what made Kuea be so in love with Hia in the first place, it seems like Hia has been cold to him for years, and Kuea doesn't think he'd accept him how he is - so why is he so deadset on this? And why did Hia's parents suddenly get on board when they seemed so hesitant when they brought it up? And how come it was more or less forgotten about it seems like until right before the grandfather died?
2.) Are we actually gonna see any scenes where Kuea is in an aristocrat role? Because currently it seems like Hia has more prestige and reputation - not to mention Kuea isn't even majoring in anything related to his aristocrat duties, but yet, he's an only son. Are his parents planning on have Hia take over his duties as a son-in-law? Like is his aristocrat status just plot armor to defend him having expensive hobbies?
3.) If Kuea is going to reveal his double identity next episode like the preview shows, what on earth (i do wish we had that italics feature), is the main plot conflict gonna be? The main character conflict is obvious Kuea getting comfortable being himself around Hia, and Hia actually falling in love with him. But come on, a whole plot propulsion focused on forced cohabitation, amongst fiances and childhood friends - sounds like there's gonna be some soap opera twist, or this is gonna be pretty slow and/or comedy centered.
4.) I really really hope that it gets acknowledged how incredibly toxic Diao and Hia Yi's relationship is. Because that's just a giant red flag. But perhaps this will be where all the time goes that would have went to more complex plot conflict? Will we perhaps see a side couple with enough air time to satisfy their sideplot?

The engagement wasn't made until they did the string and blessings thing. You can see Hia's parents being hesitant when it was brought up - so it wasn't agreed to beforehand. The only thing established when Kuea was a baby was that they would be raised together and Hia would need to take care of him.
Saint's role in Love By Chance was fairly innocent and naive and trusting - i wouldn't associate those as being traits of an Aristocat's son. Polite or no. Was his behavior with the waitresses in bad taste, yes. Absolutely. But living abroad in England, from what he was talking to Diao about - he wasn't being an aristocrat. He was being a bar musician and motorbike racer. Not exactly the most well-mannered bunch. And again, he was cracking under the pressure of not being able to be himself, as any sane person would - i don't think this is indicative of his larger capabilities of portraying an aristocrat's mannerisms.
And according to his classmates, he is keeping his major a secret (or at least he's thinking he is - i doubt Hia doesn't know). Plus, a google search easily shows several US colleges that offer automotive systems technology, automotive engineering, etc under a larger Engineering program - so it's far from unheard of. It could be an applied specialization, or an elective class. (I say US here, because that is where I am located in, so that is what my results are gonna be geared towards. I'm sure it's not unheard of elsewhere as well).
And another Hia theory that's being built is that Hia is attending to these issues in part to force Kuea's hand in to drop is facade (bc Hia seems to definitely be on to the facade). And even if not, if a factory made a big mess up where it would impact the rest of production - a CEO would need to come up with a quick strategy, no? I think we shouldn't be deciding whether he acts like a CEO or not considering we have 0 details as to what the issue was - or even if it was a small factory.
I have many complaints with how this first episode has set up the main plot and side plots, but these are not among them. Because they seem pretty well established, and if not - then irrelevant. But everyone is entitled to their own things to be bothered by.
This might or might not be a long shot theory, but does anyone else thing Lian is acting this way to try and get…
Yea, I think so too (and I thought so from the trailer as well). He said that he doesn't want to be married to a doll, but yet is fighting to keep the engagement on. He's never shown any fondness to Kuea since he returned, but yet is going to ask him to stay with him. He's very particular about his appointments, and being on time - but yet had a meeting with a business partner during their date.
Things aren't lining up, and I do think it's to try and get Kuea to reveal himself. Besides, he didn't seem surprised with the Kirin reveal.
It was a very solid 1st episode. But the whole arranged marriage doesn’t make sense or has any impact if it’s…
I think what Hia Yi was saying in that scene wasn't that gay marriage isn't legally binding (in real-life it's not, but we don't know about in the storyworld yet), but rather that arranged marriages aren't.
But even if gay marriage isn't legally binding in this storyworld, it would still hold personal and familial meaning - so it would have an impact.

Although, sometimes he does give off a vibe similar to the employee from Strong Woman Do Bong Soon
