Omg, this couple truly play off of each other. It's so entertaining to watch them scheme around. Even though still rare, when the romantic scenes do come up, it's definitely hitting the romance itches. And the relationship development between them so far is fantastic as well.

Deng Enxi truly has improved her acting skills in this drama, no longer a fixed set of expressions like before.

Got the express just to support the drama. Totally worth it. Can't wait for next episodes.

I often do not have much strong opinion about the male actors, but I got pretty positive impression for DYX from a couple of his works I've come across, even if the show is not a big success. Dude was freaking carrying some shows on his shoulder and giving his all. I hope all these hardworks will pay off when he transitions from idol space down the line.

Both are equally important so far. It's a story about how both of them rise to prominence together. There are lots of trolls in this page since the beginning of airing. So, better give it a try and form your own judgement.

Imo, the characters here are more human that a lot of the stuffs we usually get. Which means they make mistakes, and learn from it. They are not some god-like omnipotent beings. If you are into this type of characters, you may enjoy it.

Exactly. ML wavered, and even went back to the cell to wait for FL. If he didn't have the intention, we would have left outright. He had the choice and agency, and he chose to listen what FL had to say first. Even after listening, he can choose to stay outlaw if he wishes to.

It is different from FL's situation, who was strip off of all agency and truly out of options.

ML is a famous salt smuggler, and he's in FL's town to sell his smuggled salt. The magistrate and co are colluding to control salt prices. Magistrate doesn't want to increase the price anymore because the capital is getting into this matter. So, they decided to catch ML's gang as a show to the court.

Then stuffs happened.

Later, ML recovered his salts, said 'fk it', and distributed everything to the common ppl before he leaves the town.

That's the salt plot so far.
