Melody of Golden Age is a cute drama. If you like the lead couple's visual here, you may like it as well. But, acting is not the strong point of that drama. Deng Enxi's acting is better here compared to MOGA.

Well, we've only seen 4 out of 36 episodes. Let the story cook for now. They are already out on the road together by ep 4 which can be considered pretty fast. It's not too late to complain about the screentime if it remains imbalanced by half way of the story.
Oh, I just noticed while reading this novel. It's from the same author of Jiu Chong Zi (Blossom drama's novel). Jiu Chong Zi was a good read, I think I'll enjoy reading this one as well.

As it brings so much social prestige, some are forced into it by the husband's family just like in this drama.
There are 3 such arches belonged to the Fu family, which means there are 3 widows who earned it by refusing to remarry and staying loyal to their respective husbands. The crazy lady in the drama was in the process of earning a 4th one, which is why she brought such leverage to the table. (She seems to be lied/coaxed/forced into it, so the extreme isolation is starting to get to her, which also explains her mental state.)
The pilot episodes were just so good, which prompted me to immediately pick up the novel.
Also, I was finding the FL looks so famaliar and it's actually the reunion of the Melody of the Golden Age couple! Her acting improves compared to before as well.
Compelling story setup and beautifully shot as well. And I know I can expect top tier delivery from Wen Zheng Rong. The rest of the supporting cast looks great as well. I'm looking forward to the next episodes.

Gosh, loved both ep7 and 8 so much. Loved how laid back, effortlessly funny, and pulling at your heart strings all at the same time. Love this sibling so much <3

I've been mostly rewatching older dramas these days, and having fights in viki comments. Somehow it's bringing me more entertainment. lmao
The tempo is fast as well, so doesn't take long to grab you in. Give it a try for 1-2 episodes.
